What Did Larry Summers Really Say?

As the academic left insists that Ward Churchill has an absolute right to justify the murders of 2800 innocent civilians, they're simultaneously attempting to get Larry Summers fired as President of Harvard for making some un-PC remarks about the reasons for the lack of many women in high-level science and math positions.

Bill from InDC reports they're also misrepresenting what he said.

1 The only women who are getting upset about it are the ones who can't grasp all that technical, mathematical data that support Summers' claim.

The Right correctly used it to describe the jackboot of the Left that hammers down anything or anyone that deviates from Liberal Orthodoxy. 3 Whatever,Mr.Summers actually did or did not say,has paled into insignificance in light of his headlong retreat into submissive apologist since that point.
He could have been a contender,but all he has become now is someone fearful of losing his job,and willing to abase himself endlesssly to save it.And for that act of moral cowardice ,he now . deserves to lose that job.

5 Summers has to stay, because his departure over this signals the kind of blow to open discourse that the left loves to proclaim that the PATRIOT Act generates.

Summers didn't say anything controversial or even untrue. What he said has been the subject of discussion and research for YEARS.

The only plus is that the MIT professor who thought she'd "Throw up or faint" when she heard it has made it clear how fragile she is and how undeserving of a spot in academia she happens to be.
