I've linked this before -- but deep in my soul I prayed it was a photoshop. Surely a candidate for Vice President would not be so obscene as to allow herself to be photographed with Scandi-ite perverts, penguin-humpers, and icebacks, could she? Surely a trick of the left wing, right?

But the Weekly Standard confirms-- it's all too real.

She's made Thules of us all.

Disgusting. Repulsive. Yes, gob-smackingly vile and filling me with heart-ache.

I don't know what to do to stop this degenerate Thorsucker from getting elected.

27 Ace, the reason you shouldn't use either of those two words is because they turn into homing beacons for attacks. Obvious those attacks would be unfair and would totally distort the original spirit in which the words were written - but I'm a pragmatist at heart and think it's just smart to avoid painting a target on your ass, especially when equally cool phrases are out there to be used (this really goes to the heart of my reservations about some of the epithets used about Sullivan, although that's slightly different too). There really are some words out there that should just never be used, save in the most academic of senses: why supply the ammunition by which your enemies can attack you? Why force yourself and your allies (us and your blogfriends) to play defense in that eventuality.
