Iraq Streaming TV Link
UPDATE: Saddam Reaches Execution Site
UPDATE: "Within a minute or two," according to Aribiya TV
— Ace That update from FoxNews TV.
...
If you just can't wait for FoxNews, the link for streaming TV from Iraq is on the left.
Update On Streaming Video: Seems to be overwhelmed by high demand.
A US judge, by the way, just denied Saddam's lawyers' request for a stay of execution. Which was, of course, obvious.
Within the hour, they say. But they've been saying that all day.
A bit of gallows humor: As William Palmer was being led onto the gallows platform in 1856, he looked at the trapdoor and asked his executioner, "Are you sure it's safe?"
From that site of funny or odd lists.
Thanks to Axoxtl.

And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I traveled each and ev'ry highway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way
Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course, each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way
Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my way
I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill, my share of losing
And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way,
"Oh, no, oh, no, not me, I did it my way"
For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels and not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows and did it my way!

Also, Iraqi tv that Ace links seems to be showing some sort of science show that illustrates how NASA infidels plan to steal oil from asteroids.

That is an odd site though. Is it really Iraqi??? It's got articles about "Christmas presents" and I wouldn't think that'd be a big issue in Iraqi media seeing as how like 90%+ of them are Muslim.
Interesting poll on the bottom right though:
Do you believe that Al-Maliki's_Bush's may be fruit positive results in Iraq?

Anderson Cooper is pursing his lips, looking downwards, and shaking his head.
The reporters on MSNBC are confused as to why the Arab "street" remains quiet. They were anticipating (hoping for) a nice backlash of violence.

Saddam's Corpse: Well, Chris, I think America needs to withdraw all its military from Iraq...
[Applause]
...and open up dialogue between the factions to try and broker a deal for peace.
[Applause]
Matthews: Saddam's corpse, what do you think about a Hillary/Obama ticket.
Saddam's corpse: Anyone is better than Bush and Cheney.
[Applause]
Matthews: You've been in public service for most of your life...and a popular leader of millions of people for decades. What's next for Saddam Hussein's corpse?
Saddam's corpse: Hmmm, ahhhh, I'd like to take some time off and travel...see the world...maybe teach at university. Eventually I'll return to public service by raising awareness for Environmentalism -- an issue that is very near and dear to my heart.
[Applause]
Matthews: That's great. That's great. Thank you, sir, for joining us at the campus of a great institute, Princeton University.
[Applause]
[Saddam's corpse waves to the audience]
[Arm falls off]

All this was at the cost of almost 3K American lives and tens of thousands of injured Americans--to date, of course. And not to be forgotten--although more than a few Americans would prefer to do--at the cost of hundreds of thousands of other Iraqis, of course.
One would have thought that, to give Saddam's execution the maximal impact on the American psyche, the Bushies would have had him executed either before Christmas or after New Years, not between Christmas and New Years when few Americans are paying attention to much of anything. It appears that the Bushies have lost all appreciation for the wonders of public relations.

What price would you put on justice? Do you think that the hundreds of thousands in the mass graves was okay? Or the poisoning of his own people? By your reasoning, we should have shot him on sight right in the spider hole. Unfortunately, spineless pricks like you seem to think that removing such scum from the earth is less of a priority than endless investigations on policy decisions. Guess what? For good or ill, the President gets to make foreign policy decisions! Poor baby. Some of us who do things other than play with our belly-button lint know that...
(i) The Bushies could have sent Saddam to the International Criminal Court (ICC). He--like Milosevic--might have died before he could be executed, but, he would have died regardless, and he would have died while in Gefaengnis; and
(ii) The Bushies could have convened an international court, something like the Allies did for the Nazis and the Japanese Regierungen (other than the Japanese emperor, of course!) after WWII. An international court such as those after WWII might have had a little less suggestion of "victors justice" than is obvious with Saddam ("Saddam tried to kill my daddy"), and might--just might--have had a bit more justification.
Hey, but what the heck. Who in America cares about formalities? And, more to the point, who in America really cares about the Iraqis who have died as a result of the forces unleashed by Shrub?
The Mighty Righties don't. That's for sure. It's all about public relations.

We certainly could've done other things with Saddam, like shooting him in his hideout, or making him give us all the details about Oil for Food etc.
Instead, we handed him over to the people that he abused the most- his own countrymen- and allowed them to try him and convict him on their own.
True justice.

Whats with the German, you get mixed up between jumping from DU, Kos, AoS and Stormfront?
No you retard, I was addressing your macaca rant, which was pretty stupid given Tushar's Indian.
Now go fuck yourself with a rusty chainsaw.

Raj, you're dumb!
Ah, what I'd expect from someone who infests this site.
Would you care to elucidate? (Look it up)

I thought impersonators were supposed to put "observer" in their handle. It can get confusing, especially when your expectations for lefties are so low.

E.g., on another thread, there is currently a troll named LittleBit. If I were to impersonate him, I would call myself LittleClit.

A troll impersonator typically takes on a name that is a slight mis-spell of the troll's handle.
Yeah, just a little something to tip us off would be appreciated. I mean, some of these people are too moonbatty to spoof.

Tushar,
Given that unfortunate condom story from a few weeks back, you may want to stay away from anything connected with little and sex organs. Just some friendly advice.

It didn't have to be this way. Back in 2003, he could have admitted his guilt, stepped down from power, and apologized to the world. But instead, he caused a bloody war and cost the lives of thousands of Americans, and tens of thousands of his own people, and his country is a disaster.

I'm glad Saddam was hung
I'm happy Jimmy Carter is a retarded peanut farmer
I'm ecstatic that AL Gore appears to be the human equivalent of fake poop
I'm glad John Kerry is a french poodle
I shit myself with happiness that we have Kos and DU and other lefty blogs where we can view the loony moonbats like reptiles in a glass cage
Happy New Year everyone!

Tushar, you know how you start reading something on the internet and then it leads to something else so you click on that link and then you go from there and so on and so on?
Ok, maybe that's just me, but on my down time I'm reading. I honestly don't know where I learned about them from.

Idiot. I stopped playing with my belly button lint when I discovered the joys of daily showering.

Saddam, the Lion of Babylon, ees alive and well. Hee has deceived the crusading forces and is mustering a force of Special Republican Guards for counter attack. The Americans claim that hee ees dead--don't believe them. I cannot stay for questions, for I have a meeting with Pope John Paul Second.
(BBC and Reuters quickly run the story).

"who shot Charles Rocket?" episode in 1981. He was fired after the show
for excaiming at the show's very end "I'd like to know who the
fuck did it!" on live TV. He did lots of character-actor work before
slitting his own throat in October 2005. I'm sure you all wanted to
know this. Buckwheat was shot in a later episode.
Saddam was still murdered by Bush and the Neocons, by the way. He
didn't get a fair trial, the death penalty is barbaric, blah blah blah.
My 11 year old newphew shoots better video that the person who shot the Saddam hanging on the top link, btw.
Thought you'd like to know. Back to Mr. Daniels.

Well, the Iraqis do, although we're not losing any sleep over it. And one of the executioners reportedly yelled "long live Moqtada Al-Sadr," which isn't cool, but then again, Saddam had Sadr's dad, brother, and sister tortured, raped, a/o murdered, so ...
2) The little guy with glasses, nominated above as the worst SNL cast member of all time, was named Tim Kazurinsky (sp.?).
3) It was not Madeleine Albright, but April Glaspie (sp.?), Bush 41's ambassador to Iraq (the one whom Joseph Wilson IV was replacing when the shit went down), who told Saddam, in the summer of 1990, that the Iraq-Kuwait dispute was none of our bizniz.
This was because we assumed Iraq wasn't so dogshit crazy as to try to annex the entire fucking country of Kuwait. Maybe they were gonna slap the Kuwaitis around a little, move the border a mile or so south (and the Kuwaitis *were* slant-drilling, after all), but no one at State realized quite how irrational Hussein was.
Oops.
4) Dead thread and all, but still - HAPPY NEW YEAR, everyone. In New Orleans for the first time, drunk and loving it.
