Well, nothing.

Another sign that America is falling behind the rest of the world in our educational institutions.
Iranian students are volunteering to go to Gaza as suicide bombers/martyrs; reportedly 10,000 have signed up.
American universities need to get our slacker generation whipped into, frenzy/shape.

There's a spammer troll, "aaabs" in the Notre Dame thread, Gabe (or Ace), that needs cleanup and banning. I checked through a few other threads, and he/it doesn't seem to be anywhere else (yet).

The Biker guy from the Village People had/has a great voice, amazingly enough. He sang 'Danny Boy' in 'Can't Stop The Music', some funny awful movie starring Steve Gutenburg and Valerie Perinne. And Bruce Jenner. And the Village People. Directed by the lady who did a bunch of paper towel commercials.

"Odd that he doesn't have any rich friends to shack up with in the DC area."
It's really odd that he has no friends who aren't in prison or headed to prison. Someone elected him as a joke and now no one wants him around. The Rodney Dangerfield of politics gets no respect. He's looking for the 911 number to save the country. BWAHAHAHAHAHA
Down in Southwest Va we have some of that white global warming flying around. Another democrat nightmare. Bad news, I had to lay off my two brothers, the cook and the helper, when I shut down the moonshine still.
Constant CNN watchers are 87.5% more likely to commit suicide after they murder their family than conservatives who never watch CNN. Could it be that constant depressive anti-american news brings on depression in the viewers? I read these stats in the fart stains in my shorts. Same place CNN gets their news.

Plover Pot - there has to be a lot more to that story than what was published - they got to a murder conviction which would require intent.
Story seems fishy.

A few more bytes of data: the word 'trivia' literally means "three roads", and refers to an intersection of the roads in Europe (what we would call an interchange), where local information was posted. "Local" in this instance meaning either esoteric or banal, and ultimately worthless to random passers-by.
Now, isn't your day made complete? :-)

"I'm sure that the U.S. Senate doesn't want to see themselves in the same position," Rush said.
Heh. Is Bobby saying that Harry Reid "doesn't care about black people", or what? Sounds kind of like a threat to me.
Harry is about to find out what a bitch it is to be in charge without George Bush to blame. It's a beautiful thing.

15 For me it's akin to Pat Benatar being tough, I don't know for sure but in reality she probably loves to bake and knit.
As the President of the Providence-Worcester-Boston Area Pat Benatar Fan Club, I can confidently report that she does enjoy baking and knitting, as well as backgammon and Chinese checkers.

Seeing as making up phoney honorifics is all the rage today in the U.S.A., shouldn't we and the MSM be calling Roland Burris the Senator Elect and refer all questionsabout him to the Office of the Senator Elect? (Or would that be Office of the Senator Appoint?)
Posted by: andycanuck at December 31, 2008 06:47 AM (55TIb)
If Bobby Rush had an all black Senate in his little deranged world of his, would he EVER put a single Whitey on there?
These fucking scumbags suck.
And the PoMo media, can they maybe turn a critical eye towards this former thug pos black panther slime?
NOOOOO, it's too much to fucking ask, we have Blago talking in foreign tongues and everyone is supposed to consider that shit absolutely normal.

Whadda' think?
I can't believe people think this guy should not be held criminally responsible for the death of his daughter.
The term "good parent" is ambiguous. Many people responsible for the harm or death of their children were "good parents". I'm sure he loved his daughter. That doesn't change the fact that this "good parent" made a really stupid call that caused the death of his child. He didn't intend for her to die, but she did, nonetheless, because of his decision. With what little is known about this case, I call it a 'yes'. Her death is his fault. He is responsible.

I thought 11/17/70 was Elton's best. He started out really great.
When I saw the cover of Honky Chateau my gaydar went to 11. And I was only 14 years-old.
Since then everything he's done sounds like Philadelphia Freedom.

WTH was Pat Bowlen thinking?
That in the 10 years since Elway retired, the best he could do was an AFC Championship Game appearance, which he backed into with New England and Indianapolis losses, which he got to play on his home turf, and which he somehow managed to blow?
That he has trouble instilling discipline in his players, from Marshall to Bly, and even with his team's "leaders" like Brister and Plummer?
That failing to reach the playoffs for three straight years is not quite up to expectations, especially when all you have to do is win the AFC West?
That a coach doesn't impress an owner by demonstrating a greater capacity to fold than the Buffalo Bills?
(Sorry, I'm hogging the internet.)

Yes, Obama will fire Fitzgerald using the clean-slate pretext Clinton used. Given the justifiably well-known, ridiculously limited American attention span, tactically minded politicians tend to do the unsavory stuff early. With the media still covering for him, Obama might lose two or three points in the polls should he fire Fitzgerald, at worst. What gets me is that what we're seeing now in Illinois will be what we as a country are going to experience for at least the next two years and probably longer. There is such a thing as a political environment, where the tone is set by those in charge. Such an environment can be the moral equivalent of a church or a whorehouse. For example, it probably never occurred to Blegoivich he was doing anything wrong, much less illegal, since that is the way the Chicago machine operates--has always operated. Now, imagine the whole country ran that way, where payoffs and kickbacks and back-scratching and feather-bedding are the norm, not the exception.
Given what we know about Democratic Party tactics, does anyone honestly believe the elections of 2010 are going to be fair? We conservatives need to get tougher, harder, more ruthless. McCain's misplaced sense of honor and fair play and resolute unwillingness to get his hands dirty made for a losing strategy. Losing honorably is still losing. Enough of that shit.

Backed into? They beat Indy and NE, no small feat in those days and no small feat to this day. Was that supposed to be a knock on him? Oh all he did that year was knock out two great teams with future hall of famers at QB. Ho-hum...?
Discipline problems? What discipline problems. Far as I know none of his players are shooting themselves or anyone else. Nor are they getting caught taking roids or serving time for criminal offenses. Swing and a miss.
This year's collapse is semi-understandable given the rash of injuries they've suffered. The last three years winning the AFC West has involved getting past a Chargers team that has been clicking on all cylinders. All while rebuilding around a rookie QB with diabetes. An excuse? Absolutely. But a decent one if not a good one.
He's one of the best coaches in the league. getting rid of him at this point makes no sense.

Points taken (though I don't remember the Broncos beating the Colts in the ; minor detail). Each thing you say has merit. But taken together, you have a case for dismissal.
He's one of the best coaches in the league. Yeah, technically and statistically, he is. But a coach's main job is to develop his subordinates, to get them to perform to their potential. In this, he's fallen woefully short.
Getting rid of him at this point makes perfect sense.
Think about it: Over the last 10 years, the Broncos have been one of the best teams in the NFL. Not the best every year, but top five in terms of talent for most of those ten years. The result was a promising playoff run, once, three years ago. Whereas the Baltimore Ravens have sucked for every single one of the last 10 years and have a Super Bowl title. Both results come down to coaching.
