Obama makes some kind of outrageous lie that most of the media ignore.

His "kitchen" cabinet invades some new industry and the media ignores it.

The administration spends money like water and then says we will tighten up next year. Meaning a tax increase of course.  This is on top of the massive crap and tax plan the hope to pass this year.

Yep, Obama's hero was FDR:  We will tax and spend and tax and spend.  The normal Democrap response to anything. Forget the Bill Clinton "triangulation".

WASHINGTON – The Army is preparing to do an internal investigation to examine whether it missed warning signs about the alleged shooter in the Fort Hood rampage, but top Pentagon officials may want a broader review of lessons from the tragedy.

I hope that this doesn't hurt their precious diversity. Which of course is the most important thing in the military.

A top priority, he said, likely would be to look at red flags missed in Hasan's case, with an eye toward ensuring there are not other similar missed cases out there waiting to happen.

Red flags? There were red flags? Wasn't he just expressing himself?

Fucking. Incredible.

"We have to follow the Karzai 12 rules. But the Taliban has no rules," he said. "Our soldiers have to juggle all these rules and regulations and they do it without hesitation despite everything. It's not easy for anyone out here."

"Karzai 12" refers to Afghanistan's newly re-elected president, Hamid Karzai, and a dozen rules set down by Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal, the commander of U.S.-led forces in Afghanistan, to try to keep Afghan civilian casualties to a minimum.

Government task force recommends women wait before getting mammograms.

A government task force said Monday that most women don't need mammograms in their 40s and should get one every two years starting at 50 — a stunning reversal and a break with the American Cancer Society's long-standing position. What's more, the panel said breast self-exams do no good, and women shouldn't be taught to do them.

Palin Principles: Who’s (Not) Afraid of Sarah Palin?

"Where do you get enough lipstick to cover this particular frenzy?"

Two favors, s'il vous plaît:

1) Don't call Levi Johnston a celebrity. There's nothing about him that ought to be celebrated. Famous: yes. Celebrity: save that term for the likes of Carrie Underwood.

2) Eat avocados instead of pistachios. Avocados are both good and good for you, and you won't chip your fingernails or turn your hands red eating them. Guacamole isn't just for Cinco de Maio and Super Bowl Sunday, and there's nothing quite like an African-style fruit salad containing pieces of fresh avocados. Sliced avocado also goes great on a grilled chicken sandwich! So instead of supporting Levi Johnston, go out and enjoy some avocados or a tasty prepared avocado product today!

The word celebrity does not hold positive connotations here at this blog.  We use the word celebrity with the same contempt and disdain as the word politician and traitor and steaming pile of you-know-what.  In the rare instance of a truly-admirable, good and sane famous person, such as Gary Sinise or Adam Baldwin, we emphasize that we do no hold them in the same category as most other celebrities.

I've no desire to single out Barbarian. It's just the situation.

I recall there were ALOT of people on this website who hopped on the H1N1 bandwagon early even, questioned the timing, and wondered if it was not some dastardly biological weapon when it was first reported in Mexico.

Something 'didn't add up' about the reporting. Well yes, that was true.

It turns out it's just the flu. A regular flu. No more, no less. You were scared of the flu FFS.

I love saying this: I told you so.

I. Freakin. Told. You. So.

I totally told you so, several times. And I even told you I was gonna tell you I told you so.

But I don't say it for the relish, I say it in desperate hope someone might catch on to these wonderful tools of prognostication I have employed so successfully. Why are so many so quick to Cassandrism?

Swine flu, Avian Flu, West Nile, SARS, peak oil, global warming, Y2k, global cooling, 2nd hand smoke, airborn ebola, DDT, ozone depletion,  electromagnetic carcinogens, flouride, acid rain, KILLER BEES....

The only plague that afflicts us is fear. And it is pandemic.

Of all the wonders that I yet have heard, it seems to me most strange that men should fear seeing that death, a neccessary end, will come when it will come.

What I would see happening is something similar to what they do here. You can vote in one primary or the other but no both. When you vote in the first one they cross your name off the list so that you can not go back and vote in the other one.

Except that in this case they would simply print two separate lists, one for R and one for D. Sure you can vote in the R even though you are a hidden D, but after that you would not be able to vote in the D. You would have to go down to the voter registration office in the county seat to change your party affiliation every time you wanted to sneak across the lines.  I just don't see very many Democrap weasels willing to do that.

Remember, there is a reason they are Democraps and it ain't because they are hard working ambitious people.

The site also shows $1,471,518 going to New Hampshire’s 6th congressional district, $1,033,809 to the 4th congressional district and $124,774 to the 27th congressional district. Keep hammerin' 'em on healthcare!

This is why the leftards are so successful. They do all the heavy lifting for their members.  This was on AsAMom.com.  One of them is behind enemy lines, getting DNC garbage, and got this little gem.  Feel free to use it and bookmark it.

Barack Obama's "Organizing for America" has put the call out for people to Email their local papers and write a letter to the editor. They have created a VERY easy and fast way to write all your local papers with just a few key strokes. PLEASE take a minute to do this today and help kill the (deathcare) bill.

Here's what we need to do :

Go to : http://my.democrats.org/page/speakout/posthouseLTE

1. Put in your Zip code. You will be redirected to a page where you enter all your address information.

2. Check all the boxes for all of your local papers (and nationals).

3. NOW CAREFUL THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART ! DO NOT CLICK NEXT. Instead Click " 2. Compose Letter " this is in the top middle of the page. This will allow you to compose your own letter to the editor against the healthcare bill.

4. Write your letter to the editor against the healthcare bill.

5. Now click Next

6. Preview your letter to the editor and click Send Email

97 Ent,

It's everyone's precognition.  We all know that at some point there's going to be a real bio-weapon released, and it will wipe out a large part of the earth's population (because there's simply no way to contain it in this day & age).

Some folks are just a little jumpy.

Who's we? You and the hypochondriacal mouse in your pocket?

What constitutes "large"? It may bring death, as so many things inevitably do, but I daresay the specter of bioterrorism may well never rival the number of people killed every year by deer.

You all forgot the planetary alignment thing back in the '60s and '70s.  End of the world and all that.

Now it's some vague we're-all-gonna-die-in-2012 thing.  And all this thanks to the Mayans, whose biggest claim to fame is having built a bunch of stone monuments to themselves in the jungle and human sacrifice (done in an exceptionally nasty way).

Is it any wonder we now have the likes of Obambi as Pres'nit?.

Posted by: Cave Bear at November 17, 2009 08:34 AM (uMihF)

102

Well, I've forgotten plenty. But the 2012 thing is also an astrological alignment marker. Some kind of trippy galatic alignment.

So you can expect the same thing we got with the planetary alignment, only magnified greatly.

So .... nothing. 0. BUT, 0 to the power of a billion! 01000000000.So that's got to be something.

If some shadow enemy wants to release a flu slightly  more lethal than normal, I hope they let that sucker loose in some slum areas I can name.  Those blighted areas are already full of unhygenic people with terrible diets, so the effectiveness should be enhanced.  It would cut down on crime, welfare costs, and all manner of social ills.  Of course, the professional welfare leeches are always the first to go get government sponsored immunizations, so it'll need to work quick and not have a vaccine already developed.

Lumping me in with DDT haters seems a bit uncalled for.  I'd love to have that stuff sprayed all over my town.

The leftists you refer to hate all human life, and thus have a different view from mine.  They want a smaller overall number of humans, but aren't very selective except that the dead not be themselves.  I, on the other hand, have no ill will toward those who work to support themselves and their own, and obey the law.  Nor do I see a need for "less people" generally.  But there is a serious problem with the underclass in this country that the milk of human kindness, flowing so freely here it seems, is quite inadequate to remedy.  They're paid to breed and thus increase their numbers geometically.  They are the source of the bulk of the crime problem, and are the reason it's not safe to walk the streets at night.  They're quite opposed to the idea of having to do any honest labor to earn their bread.  Based on the appearance of their environment, they can't even be bothed to keep anything hygenic.  People living the back woods of New Guinea are more civilized.

As the good book says, if a man will not work, he should not eat.  Yet every day there are more eating without being willing to work, and the rest of us foot the bill.  And we're running out of money.  With the economy tanking we're getting collectively poorer.  Eventually it will no longer be possible to adequately feed and house them all, and nobody is going to sit quietly and starve just because we ask them nicely.  The day the welfare checks stop coming is the day that wealth redistribution will change suddenly and violently to wealth confiscation.  There will be no time to transition them to some kind of agrarian subsistence, nor would any effort to provide them with the means of self support be welcome.  Maybe this is a long way off, but the day is coming.

As a nation we lack the will to deal decisively with the situation and force reform.  Therefore we are, in the end, giving them the choice between starving or being crushed by the police/military.  How very humane...

The day the welfare checks stop coming is the day that wealth redistribution will change suddenly and violently to wealth confiscation.

Obama has already started the wealth confiscation....AIG, Chrysler, GM, and a crapload of banks and other private industries.

As a nation we lack the will to deal decisively with the situation and force reform.  Therefore we are, in the end, giving them the choice between starving or being crushed by the police/military.  How very humane...

The reform I'd like to see is a return to free market enterprise, the Bill of Rights, and Constitution.  As of 20 January 2009, all three have been suspended. As for the military, I can attest to the fact that the majority of service members do not like Obama or his socialist kleptocracy.
