I know I'm an interested observer, but does it not seem that one half of the blogosphere is nothing but rage and weapons-grade crazy, and the other half is pretty sensible and on-the-level?

Will anyone in the media ever notice this? Not to beat a dead horse, but everytime a commenter says something untoward on Free Republic or LGF, it seems to get cited by the MSM. Meanwhile, the actual owners/operators/writers/proprietors of left wing blogs are writing all sorts of unhinged nonsense and the MSM doesn't say a peep.

The media doesn't cover blogs much, and I'm not suggesting they should do more of it, necessarily. What coverage they offer is superficial and vapid. But if they are going to cover the phenomenon, they really should note where the real political craziness is. And it's not on the right.

1 This is true what you say Ace. The ideas on the left side of the blogosphere are nutso. Both sides have their share of bad language. One side gets cited by the MSM as nuts though.

4 The MSM don't report on the nutsoisity of the left blogosphere because they don't see it as nutso, they see it as normal. That said, there is of course no liberal bias in the MSM.

21 Good point, BumperStickerist. Every place has its whackos. Rightist whackos are just as bad as leftist - and the MSM's free pass to leftist whackos is quite dishonest, indeed.

As much as LGF may have what may be considered to be unhinged commenters, I suspect more hinged posters do chastize the more askew ones. I have seen Charles delete certain comments - but with the number of comments that floods his threads, it's somewhat unrealistic to expect all will be screened.

Which is why I like more intimate places like AoSHQ.
