"Reporter" Zachary Roth tries to create a scandal out of whole cloth. Unfortunately, the facts seem to be against his thesis, but that hasn't stopped him from sticking with his non-scandal story. After all, who needs facts when you're trying to destroy threats to The One?
The same liberal site (which, incidentally, brags about its original reporting) that finds lies where there are none simply ignores actual lies spoken by public officials. Go figure.

I vacillate between complete withdrawal, plugining into the depths of enemies with evangelist missions into a desert (there are several to choose frmo), and a stylistic recreation of Falling Down.
Does the vodka really help that much?

If they want war, they've got it.
Posted by: Jim Treacher at February 27, 2009 07:15 PM (cvmgB)
A lot of folks on the right say they're going to war with us...none of them actually do it. That's why Jamil Hussein is still one of our sources, and our photographers still win Pulitzer Prizes for embedding with Al Qaeda, and CNN never had to retract that laughable video they ran during the latest throw down in Palestine. A lot of you guys say you are going to war, but those among you who show up in our studios, and on our shows, and write in our papers and magazines never seem to get that memo. But we can always count on a handful of those same people to help us piss all over Palin, or Jindal or Romney or whoever we need to smell a little of pee at the moment. Wonder why? Does money actually talk, maybe? Is journalist club, and the exposure it brings with it really that important? Should you be talking to your journalist class about this war you keep declaring and they keep ignoring? Just asking... and chuckling a little too.
Posted by: The MSM at February 27, 2009 07:25 PM (1g+FW)
So when was Jindal in an office with Lee?
If it was days after the storm (which is where their third bite at the apple has it) it still makes no sense.
What people were still needing boat rescuing days after the fact?
This is mentally ill. Do they not know what a hurricane is or does? Hint: there's water involved.
Is this the sort of thing they mean when they talk about the "elites" being so detached from real life? This is like asking why dentists are necessary, after all "I've never had a cavity in my life!"

Are these the same people who didn't bother investigating a single iota of any of Barry's bullshit for months and months and months?
Those are the same people, really?
Well then, fuck them.
Posted by: Sen. Gov. E. Buzz Miller, PhD at February 27, 2009 07:30 PM (xUZkt)
That's a good point. Some of those people pretend that the media outlets have valuable-enough real estate in the public perception to make renting it worth while, others pretend their opponents are reasonable enough to make discussion worth while.
I think both are deluded and do help to perpetuate the fraud of "journalism" in that media. But never underestimate the power of government and the "progressive" elites (old money wasting away, got to get that government cut before it's gone!) to prop something up long after the market dried up, ground cracked, and radioactive spikes impale remaining structures.

And they wonder why we call them whores. Which is really a knock on the ladies of the evening. After all, they at least acknowledge their screwing you.

"In our post, we reported -- among other red flags -- that we couldn't find any news reports that put Jindal on the ground in the affected area during the time when a boat rescue would have been needed. As we noted, we called Jindal's office twice before posting to ask them to verify the incident, but heard nothing back."
Well, then it must mean that he wasn't there and was lying about, that, that, thing he was lying about!
They didn't call him back about this! They are LYING, LYING LIARS.

y'all are gonna hate me for this:
Jindal didn't tell the whole truth (bad on him) and he admitted it (good on him) the problem is that he embellished the story to make himself look better, not a huge sin to be sure, but he's in line for seat at the Big table and i expect and demand better (of both myself and my leaders), is this a deal breaker for me, no of course not, but it does nothing to quell my notion that they are all liars and thieves

Apologies, slu, I'm actually drunk at this point. But, seriously, save your words for the pictures you create. I mean, we drunks can appreciate them pictures. The words tend to slur (and, well, blur).
But, what the hell, I'm responding to blogs with the email address I actual check now. So, eh, I'm getting involved and shit.
It feels good, yanno?
Still, a trillion dollar bill in flames would be better. Put His ears on the front and, if you feel it necessary, turn it around to reveal a blank check on the other side - written by the entire Congress to appease to Fire God, of course.

It's the same thing with Palin. I think what's happening is that they have so much momentem with Bush hate as a tool for communist agitation that they don't know how to apply it to smaller political figures. To me, this is patently obvious; though I don't fully understand individuals' motivations, except for the desire for the dole and hedonistic social acception (ego strokes).
You would think it would backfire, but the internet being the only source of journalism and the ease with which one can choose one's own narrative from data available seem to keep this thing going. Of course, that assumes that we're talking about the few rational or at least with-honor beings.

...just start shouting obscenities.
Either way they're going to record your comments. The point is to, basically, get those comments to really not fit your recorded image.
Have you ever seen a guy "speaking" when, actually, what's being said has been transposed over a moving image? Doesn't, exactly, fit, does it? DO THAT. Make the viewer uncomfortable - the viewer will, inevitably, blame those who showed them the (moving/speaking) image.

LOL, still spreading lies about Katrina. You know all you need to know about Katrina when you know that EVERYTHING printed or said about Katrina by ALL news people was a lie. Who can forget the image of good ole Shep spreading his own brand of bullshit for Fox. The rest of the media dont count because we know they are just propaganda outlets for the commies.

Guess what assholes, I live in Louisiana, I was here when the storm hit. I've heard the story of Sheriff Lee yelling at federal officials on the local news. Jindal talked about the story himself when he ran for Governor a couple years ago when Lee was still alive. Lee never said anything to the contrary.
Whats really funny is now local libs love Harry Lee now when they always criticised him for being racist. Yes, they called a Chinese man, a minority of minorities in Jefferson Parish racist for years. Give me a fucking break.
If they want war, they've got it.
You're damn right Jim. Not for the reasons that you stated but I take offense to it because these assholes on the left for years telling me what happened after Katrina when I was living in the state and saw what happened. Especially the ones who've never stepped one foot in Louisiana and listen to idiots with no credibility like former Gov. Blanco and Ray Nagin.

" the problem is that he embellished the story to make himself look better"
Also to be honest, it sounded weird to me as well.
Like Barry is from the Chicago cesspool, Jindal is from another part of the country with serious problems with corrupt politics.
But in Barry's case, we adore him for it, and in Jindal's case, it is a signifier of how racist he is.

I realize that the socialized urban class, or whatever they want to call themselves, are numerous and frightening, but remember this: we're the ones with the guns, and we're the ones being forced to fund the welfare state. If we head to the hills, only the drug gangs and "police" gangs will have any weapons, and nobody will have any other resources except for what they militarize.

So I gotta wonder just how much is actually in those insipid skulls. Is MSM actually imparting a message?
I'm thinking that facts aren't what duh1 voters operate on. They are operating on a level a domestic pet would envy. I think their political consciousness is akin to what Plato referred to as "color". It's at best a emotional response and probably Pavlovian...e.g. No to "R", yes to "D".
Keeping them away from the polls is key. They make the difference and they are killing our country.
Posted by: torabora at February 28, 2009 06:50 AM (Tou3T)
Everyone does! But oh no, now it means "during the actual storm itself." Geraldo Rivera didn't make a spectacle of himself on live TV during Katrina. The news didn't irresponsibly inflate every rumor and flat-out falsehood during Katrina. Every lefty worth his or her salt wasn't blaming it all on Bush during Katrina. Etc.
