Man, he just barely stayed in one piece.
The next asshole we need to kill, and you who you are out there, should get crucified.
It's all about attitude adjustment.
Bye-bye, cocksucker!

I expected a little more professional quality.
Looks like someone gave the video camera to his 10 year-old, ADD afflicted sister. They kept forgetting they were supposed to be filming.
After working many Magic acts during my career, my mind kept saying "Switch".

Ugh. Like Bismarck said, you don't want to see the sausage being, er, strangled.
What's troubling is that apparently some of Sadr's thugs did the deed. Not the army.
Only helps the status of the Sadr army at the expense of the Iraqi Army.
Not good.

Plus, the guy in the tan jacket, the one adjusting the noose, is named Lee Harvey Achmed.
Come on, people! Do I have to draw you a picture!

Refused to make a courtesy flush, ever. Always making a mess like this guy (scroll down to 2:54 pm -- it's right under that).

Hey look everybody! I'm on the net!
Boy, was I nervous. I had never been hanged before.
Do I look fat?
Wow, my head almost came off. That would have been gross.
OMG! Look over there! It's Hitler! Hey, Motherfucker!
Wazzup, bitch!

If you're a Christian, Ace, you should think about being mindful of what you publish. And if you're not a Christian, well, clearly, you need to find the Lord.

Martyrdom?
Virgins?
Peace?
How many people actually know the moment of their death and what goes on, privately, inside one's head? A prayer for forgiveness I would hope. Of course, that would require remorse, and I can't believe that he felt any.

One of the guards must have thought that he was a training seminar for excutioners, he seems to be describing to Saddam the whole process of hanging and what he must do to make the whole thing go smoothly.
Saddam is also offered a hood but, apparently, refuses it. Good call. The hood does not help the prisoner, it actually adds to the terror. Its sole use is to make the witnesses not have to watch the prisoner's face as he is killed.

I remember reading an account once -- not sure whether it was verifiable -- of a condemned murderer who fought the guards all the way, struggling, yelling, and cussing the whole time they were wrestling him into the chamber and strapping him in to the chair. He might even have gotten a shot or two in on the guards.
At long last, the exasperated executioner bellowed, "That's enough shit outta YOU," and hit the switch. Those words came to mind when I heard the news last night, and hopefully someone said something to that effect before they pulled out the trapdoor on him.
I think the cameraperson is the same one who shot "The Blair Witch Project." Must have trouble getting gigs over here after that.

It looked like he became very emotional in the final seconds.
Bart, I thought the same thing. I thought it looked like he actually began to cry.
Dennis Miller, speaking of capital punishment, said that there are some people who are so evil that you have to thin the herd.
Saddam just got culled.
Posted by: cranky at December 30, 2006 06:54 PM (Xj2Ev)
autographed photo from Brad. The rest of the group was leftover revelers from the TOMKAT wedding. Xenu was THIS CLOSE to clearing Saddam to the next level...he didn't have the cash, sadly enough.

It deserves a sequel more than Snakes on a Plane, that's for damn sure.
I nominate Margaret Cho for the sequel. She's already hanging around.

The whole execution has a rushed feel to it, like they were making it up as they went. There should have been a band, maybe a drum corps to play a long drumroll right before the trapdoor opened. You know, make a ceremony of it.
Maybe sell t-shirts: "Hangin' With Saddam! Baghdad 12/29/06"
Well, the fucker's dead now. Piss Be Upon Him.

Remember, the witnesses are packed in like sardines, jostling for position & view. Don't blame the camera guy, it's not his fault. All that prayin and stuff was creepy.
If only Ford were still president, he could have pardoned Saddam!
Carter would have sent a hit team, then chickened out.
Regan would have Star Wars lazered him! Bzzztt! Smoking pile of Saddam ash!
Bush Senoir would have sent the troops to kill Saddam's ass, but the UN would have stopped them.
Clinton would ask Saddam to "kiss it"
Finally! A president who gets the job done! Hooray for Bush Jr!
