Meghan John McCain Is Not, Strictly Speaking, Very Smart
— DrewM

Well, now we know where Meghan McCain gets all of super-awesome smarts from.

Just days after Janet Napolitano, the U.S. homeland security secretary, sparked a diplomatic kerfuffle by suggesting the terrorists took a Canadian route to the U.S. eight years ago, McCain defended her by saying that, in fact, the former Arizona governor was correct.

"Well, some of the 9-11 hijackers did come through Canada, as you know," McCain, last year's Republican presidential candidate, said on Fox News on Friday.

It was one thing for Napolitano to make a dumb mistake. She took her lumps and then we move on to her next idiotic (and you know one is coming). But for McCain to follow her off the cliff after all the play it got? That's just not a very smart guy.

9 This is why this party needs to be decommissioned. Can anyone point to anything meaningful, worth saving in this party? I think we need to send the elephant to the glue factory and focus on building something new. The Republican brand is permanently stained as the party of out-of-touch country club elites. It suffered the same fate that Czar Nicholas did, seeing America's Lenin ascend to take control in last November's election.

John, Meghan, Rudy, Mitt and other Republican elites keep missing the message that our nation is sending: they voted for "any kind of change - even a Marxist street agitator with zero experience managing anything" over all of their candidates. So many Republican voters couldn't even bear holding their nose and voting for McCain with Palin on the ticket.

It's time to pull the plug. This thing died long ago and it's really beginning to smell.

Or are we going to somehow take over the Republican party and bring sanity back to the ranks? Who the hell runs the republican party. No one asked my advice of who to head it up ... who decides that this steele guy is the one to lead? Where are these imaginary people and how do we talk to them other than an easily deletable e-mail to generic republicanpartyduffusses.com?

Well, actually Canada gives a rats ass. You know, Canada our neighbor and previously one of our closest allies. Canada who is now offended at the implication that they somehow allowed the 9/11 terrorists to enter the United States. Canada, who dislikes the implication that their border is just as big a security risk as the border with Mexico (regardless of whether it is true that there is risk at the Canadian border or not).

But, yeah, other than pissing off our northern neighbor and one of our closest allies, who really cares.

And in case you hadn't heard we're in the worst economy since the Great Depression. And most if not all economists agree that government spending is the fastest and most effective way out. We're losing 500,000 jobs a month for God's sake.. What's your idea? Another tax cut for the rich? How'd that last one work out?

16

O's radio(?) address was about treating Gov't spending like a family treats their budget.  I believe he wants to cut needless projects, throttle back spending, and consolidate.  My main problem is that the only thing he is willing to do that to is Gov't funded 'watch dog' agencies, abstinence teachings, and defense.

I also believe he wants us to do those things so he can claim 'he finally has the average American saving'.

21 Just look at the "cap and trade" energy policy he is already trying to pitch. That is a tax which will trickle down to EVERY PRODUCT WE BUY. The influx of money from the Fed has already produced inflation, reducing the value of every dollar currently in circulation. Get a goddamn clue.

Posted by: Dr. Manhattan at April 25, 2009 06:02 AM (OkrJ4)

22 Please tell me where Obama just cut taxes?  Please remember that "allowing" the American Taxpayer to keep $676 over the course of the year, i.e. changing the withholding tables, does not equal a tax cut.  This does not change one iota how much tas you owe at the end of the year.  I mean, not to sound ungrateful or anything, but what can I buy with $676.  Maybe some earrings or something.........

Posted by: sears poncho at April 25, 2009 06:02 AM (uj/0b)

23 Don't you wonder what happened with McCain.  What he learned or what he was told that suddenly made him realize that he didn't want the job anymore.  Remember when he defended BO saying he was a good man and would make a good president?  It almost seems like no one wants these jobs.  Look Kashkari is leaving the treasury and Timmay is having trouble pulling together a staff.  When he make phone calls is he getting a lot of "thanks for the offer man but I think I'll pass."

35 Honest Cloud: The Dem's weakness going forward will be their belief (as was the Repub's for a while) that they "won" and could therefore do no wrong. Basically, the overstepped their supposed "mandate". Likewise, Obama will continue to ride his "wave" for a while yet, however, his moves, by any objective measure, are a radical departure form anything that we've ever seen - so, it follows that he'll either be a fabulous success or a dismal failure, and not much of anything in between. And that's just on the domestic front, God help him if he has a few garden variety foreign policy blunders ala Carter. I'll say this, if the Dems go into 3Q 2010 with UE above 10% and weak GDP activity, the mid-terms will go poorly for them. If in 2012, Obama's spending doesn't result in off the charts economic growth (i.e. UE below 6%, GDP growth above 5%) to offset all of his upcoming tax hikes and monstrous spending, he's cooked. It's as simple as that.

Horribly. That's the whole idea behind the stimulus money, birdbrain.

And what a surprise. Obama hasn't been able to repair the catastrophic damage George Bush left behind in his first 100 days.

Don't fear. I'm sure by the time Obama's 8 years are up we'll be doing fine. I especially like him telling the GOP to fuck off on the health care reform. No filibuster on that one.

Kind of ironic, huh? Obama runs on promising to fix health care and wins. So now sit back and watch him fix health care. And there isn't a damn thing you knuckledragging dittoheads can do about it.

HAPPY DEBT DAY!

Sunday is "Debt Day": As of Sunday, the federal government has spent all the money it will raise in taxes for the current fiscal year. From now until the end of the fiscal year in the fall, the government will be spending money that it will borrow from the Chinese and others, which will be repaid by our children and grandchildren. With interest. This is the earliest Debt Day in modern history, if not ever. From 2002 until now, it has fallen between July and September.

And in case you hadn't heard we're in the worst economy since the Great Depression.

Oh, so now it's the "worst economy since the Great Depression" again this week?  What are you, 12?  Because you clearly don't seem to remember the Carter years.

And most if not all economists agree that government spending is the fastest and most effective way out.

Is that why all those economists took out an ad in the New York Times telling Obama that his spending plan was garbage?

We're losing 500,000 jobs a month for God's sake.. What's your idea? Another tax cut for the rich? How'd that last one work out?

Not spending $13 trillion over the next ten years, doubling Bush's 2008 budget deficit in less than a year, and spending more year by year than Bush ever did, would be a good start.

You know how old bank buildings used to be decorated with allegorical bas-reliefs? "Prudence Triumphant, Flanked By Industry And Thrift" - that sort of thing. I think McCain visualized himself as a historic figure in that way - kneeling reverently at the bedside of History, midwifing a New Birth Of Freedom, or whatever sort of fantasy scenario he was playing out in his head. The mere Presidency was insignificant compared to that lofty goal, and he couldn't bear to jeopardize it by even making a show of campaigning against Obama. If he could have placed a laurel wreath on Obama's brow, he would have done it, and seen himself as a benefactor to America and all mankind. He's a deluded old fool, that's all.

If Obama hasn't given them the greatest target opportunity in 50 years of politics, they're ultimately absolute failures.

So what's the alternative? I know there's talk here about the New Whigs, though Iowa hasn't organized a state chapter yet. Nebraska has one. I'd look at the libertarians if it wasn't for the fact that they're loaded up with Ron Paul foil-hat wearers and often seem to be isolationistic cannibus users more than anything else. Anyone here know of any conservative movements with real energy and focus?

Someone's got to put Obama back on his heels and make him fight for every inch.

77 What is this Dem conceit about new ideas?

Take over the Auto industry?  Ask the Brits about Leyland.

Take over Health Care?  Lots of countries do it with varying degrees of success.  Ask a Canadian about getting an MRI?  Or ask a cancer patient in UK about getting the newest drug treatment?  Or ask those 15,000 seniors dying because of the heat in France in 2003.

Take over the banks?  Well, you'd have to believe a lot of myth about the Great Depression and how FDR got us out of it.

Yet, somehow warmed over socialism = new ideas.  Guess you can sell that to people who believe that changing withholding tables = tax cut.  What's the old saying?  No one ever went broke underestimating the American people.  Obama proves that every day, doesn't he.

78 Honest Cloud, have you ever looked yourself in the mirror and asked yourself if maybe you're wrong? Have you ever questioned yourself? Have you ever debated with yourself about these issues? Or are you just spewing talking points that you got from someone or some website.  So now you can run back to that website and point at the stupid little comments you've made.  So now you can brag to all your peers that you got some people up in arms over your comments - all the while not really believing in anything yourself. All the while really just being an empty bucket of nothing but vile and hate. Is this what you live for?

Now you realize why we refer to them as useful fools or fellow travellers.  They act as lemmings so we must encourage them.

NEW YORK, June 26 -- Warren E. Buffett was his usual folksy self Tuesday night at a fundraiser for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) as he slammed a system that allows the very rich to pay taxes at a lower rate than the middle class.

Buffett cited himself, the third-richest person in the world, as an example. Last year, Buffett said, he was taxed at 17.7 percent on his taxable income of more than $46 million. His receptionist was taxed at about 30 percent.

What, no mention of that Democrat slush fund known as FannieMae//FreddieMac?  That said, I do think that Bush fucked up by emphasizing the "ownership" society.  Giving loans to people who can't pay them back (see Obama and Citibank 1995) is a stupid idea.  So I guess the fact that Obama is having FHA pick up the slack is a bad idea too, right?

You do understand the difference between income derived from investments, which actually creates jobs and wealth vs. salary, right?

Now, I'm all for lowering the secretary's tax rate, hell I'm for lowering everyone's tax rate (Obama btw hasn't lowered anyone's income tax rate).

You on the other hand seem to want to transfer more investment capital from private hands to the government. How does that help anyone who isn't interested in being a ward of the state from cradle to grave?

And if Buffettis so concerned about tax inequities, he could pay his Secretary more and donate money to the government. There's no law saying you can't over pay your taxes if you don't think they are high enough. Funny how no one who advocates more taxes ever seems to do that. It's almost as if they are big talking BS artists who want others to pay more but not themselves.

104 The economy most likely will be crap in 2010.

So what was that stimulus thing for anyway?  Even Keynes himself would have said that if you can't forstall the recession, ride it out.  Because if you're going to get a recession anyway, make sure you aren't in debt for fruitless efforts to end it.

Liberals like to call themselves educated, but they aren't smart.  Not at all.  Basic economics is not hard.  You can reason it out for yourself.  But you won't.  You'd rather have priests tell you what to believe.

Or at least, what you want to hear.

That is magnitude of Bush's colossal failures.

Really?  Did he sue Citibank to get them to make bad loans?

Were there Republicans appointed to the boards of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac?

Even the CEOs of all the private Wall Street firms were HUGE Dem contributors.

The fact is that the only reason we are in this recession at all is because business is in fear that the Great Red Hope will pull the rug out from under them with, for example, cap and trade or socialized medicine or God knows what.

At what point in this apparently terminal decline of our country's fortunes will Obamassiah (pbuh) take responsibility for his domestic policy? He can't blame Bush forever, although I am sure that he will try. The business cycle would have fixed the problems had he done nothing, and his insane spending will simply prolong the recession.

Regardless of your belief in Keynes, the money has to be paid back. How is that going to change the business dynamic in this country? The amounts are staggering, yet you blithely jabber on about...well, I can't really tell. Once again, how is the country going to prosper under an unprecedented debt?

109 HC... then I would assume that at some point in your accounting studies, you would have learned that investing and income are taxed at different rates.  Which is how buffett got his 17.7% rate.  The money he makes gets taxed at capital gains rates, not income tax rates.  Capital gains rates are lower in order to encourage saving and a more efficient allocation/distribution of capital.

McCain's not just a RINO.  He's also not a smart politician.

I realized this in 2000, when he bravely and courageously denounced right-wing Christians, to wild applause from libs and the media (but I repeat myself).

Hey Maverick, those right-wing Christians were also voters in the GOP primaries--whose votes you might want or need.  Whether you like them or not, you might've found another way to express it without pissing them off.

Not very smart, insulting a portion of your party's base while trying to win that party's nomination.  And then he spent the next 8 years annoying Republican voters in general.  Which is why I thought he had a snowball's chance in hell of winning the nomination in 2008, or ever.  Shows ya what I know.

Not very smart.  But still light-years smarter than the likes of Honest Cloud.

Also, I agree with the theory that McCain was willing to lose so as not to deny the country its historic first half-black idiot president.

God, I hope Obama loses in 2012, if for no other reason than the chance to make cracks about the historic nature of the first black president to be voted out.

135 We at Honest Cloud Accounting do our hardest to make sure you pay the highest amount in taxes based on your income level. Warren Buffet hired us to do his taxes and he went from paying 17.7 percent in taxes to a whopping 55 percent!!

That's change you can believe in!

If you're making just enough money to pay taxes, we'll make you FEEL like you're paying less taxes by changing the withholding tables! But don't worry, you'll still be paying the same amount you always have, because we're here to make sure government gets as much money as possible. Because you deserve to pay for someone else's health care and government's out of control spending.

Call us at 368-243-2247, and mention "Praise be to Obama" to receive a 5% increase in taxes paid! Hope! Change!*

Unfortunately brains and hard work are necessary too.  Guess that leaves Zero and his tax-cheat, Asian-Studies degree-holding Treasury Secretary out in the cold.  But, hey, who cares when you're determined to take down the country?

Blowing a trillion an an unnecessary war that got us nothing, zero, is quite different that spending a trillion right here at home that provides jobs for Americans.

At least TRY to pretend that you were aware of Bush's spending beyond GWOT.  Because even with that, Obama's budgets, even at his most optimistic projection, never once go into the black, and never go under the amount that Bush spent.  Where exactly is the money going to come from?  Because even if you took every penny of income from every person making over $250,000 for the next ten years, you still couldn't pay for all the debt Obama is accumulating.  By your logic, every person with $10,000 in credit card debt should jack it up to $100,000 in debt, since it would "provide jobs for Americans".  That bill is going to come due sometime, though, and Hillary won't be able to convince the Chinese to continue funding our spending spree forever.

I distinctly recall lefties like yourself criticizing Bush for leaving massive debt for his successor down the road, yet when Obama plans on leaving another $13 trillion (not counting interest) for his successor to pay off, you pretend that it's no big deal.

Where is the money going to come from?

142 Hey, honest cloud, I will give you some criticism!

Cap and trade will destroy my state, Indiana, who gets 94% of its energy from coal.
I don't like Obama trashing the United States or George Bush overseas.  It makes the nation look weak.
I don't like him bowing to the Saudi king.
I don't like him making nice with Chavez.
I don't like the fact that my grandchildren will be overwhelmed with taxes to pay for the debt he is incurring.
I don't like it that he is NOT bi-partisan, but merely gives the GOP what he wants and trashed them if they don't agree.
I don't like his releasing the CIA memos and the photos of abused prisoners, which exist because they were evidence in prosecutions, which means that the perps were already caught and there's no need for the release.
I don't like his wife's constant acting like the White House is Disneyland and ignoring its history.
I don't like his supporters acting like a gang of brownshirts.
I don't like his appointing pro-choice Catholics and sticking it to my Church.
I don't like his constant insults with cheesy gifts to allies.
I don't like his constant need to be on television lecturing us.
I don't like the effort to socialize medicine.
I don't like the removal of the vouchers for the DC kids, while his kids go to Sidwell Friends.
I don't like his veiled threats to prosecute people from the Bush administration.
I don't like his failure to get any assistance in Afghanistan from our allies, who think he is a lightweight.
I don't like his ramping up Afghanistan without supporting our military strongly.
I don't like his attempt to get the military to use their own insurance to pay for their injuries.
I don't like his always using a teleprompter.
I don't like the fact that he has appointed tax cheats and lobbyists to administration positions.

There.  Chew on that for a while.  There is PLENTY to criticize, and I am sure I left some things out.  Why don't you go read the stupid White House web site, which does NOT inspire any confidence in me, and which only an Obama glorification site, ignoring anything important.

Go pound sand.

The Democrats and their allies, the MSM, didn't know how to react to the tax protests this year.

Wait until next year when everybody is going to have to shell out an extra $676 by April 15th. Lots of people will learn they never got a tax cut -- they just got snookered. There will be widespread outrage.

I predict many more and much louder tax protests next year.

It'll loads of fun to watch the Dems and MSM react.

My turn.

Unnecessary war. You are, of course, referring to the one we didn't start? That resulted in the unnecessary deaths of some 3,000 of your fellow countrymen? The one started by a group that has admitted it's been at war with us for over 25 years? That war? You're sure now, right? The war that made sure we didn't get attacked again?

...is quite different that spending a trillion right here at home that provides jobs for Americans.

You mean all those jobs building tanks, Humvees, uniforms, guns and ammo and all the other stuff our military needs? So... none of those jobs were filled by Americans? None? Really?

You really should put on some pants, go upstairs and ask your Mommy to fix you some lunch while you e-mail your Astroturfer-overlord and tell him you came here and did the best you could.

Now wait just one damned minute!

Oh, OK.  You're right.  It isn't easy, that's true, but even though I'm not an expert in stochastic PDEs, I think I can piece it together if needed.

In my experience, economics is the art of discovering an area of math, renaming it and getting a Nobel Prize.  Keynes: geometric series.  Laffer: convex functions.  I even saw a talk by a Harvard economist that was little more than an easy exercise in graph theory.  He even used the word "expander" without knowing what a Cheeger constant was.  I'm sure setting up the model was quite novel, but once you put it into the lap of a mathematician, it's all old stuff.

Trust me,  nonintuitive is not a problem.

On the gloomier side, this is how it [fascism] begins:

- The Utopian  _____shirt HopeyChangey policies that propelled them to power blow up in everyone's faces despite 24/7 propaganda campaigns.

- Utopians are 'forced' to institute more civil controls on wrong thinking people's ability to express their displeasure.

- Individual Liberty takes a back seat to the maintainance of a specific officially approved order that happens to rest firmly within the idiological confines of the Utopianist vision.

- People wake up and realize that shit Utopia sucks ass and that equality of outcome is a chimerical farce.

- Common citizens are seperated from the means of resisting the entrenched "order".

- Demonetization

I'm sure that you liked his friendly overture to Chavez, too.  I will be sure to convey that to my sister's best friend, who is living in Miami because she is afraid of how bad things are in Caracas, and didn't want to raise her daughter there.

Cunning demagoguery is not "wisdom", even by the preztelesque twisting of words common to drooling leftards. And sound policy? Adding a trillion dollars to the deficit in a single year is not sound policy.  Adding a trillion dollars a year to the deficit FOR TEN YEARS is most definitely not sound policy. But if you knew anything about accounting , or basic math, or even numbers, like you pretend to, you'd realize that.

You don't, so you're a lying sack of shit.

Uninformed and ignorant is no way to go through life.

So what's your excuse, tapeworm?

You're actually stupid enough to argue that a tax credit is a tax cut--particularly when it's the same voodoo bs that Bush pulled with his "stimulus" checks.  Christ, Obama can't even bribe people properly without ripping off Bush's greatest hits, but you actually think this is fresh and new.  Obama's ultimate plan to eventually pay for this nonsense is to input a cap-and-screw people boondoggle that will cost $800 per household if energy companies don't pass along the cost of higher energy mandated by the government to consumers; if they do, it could cost nearly $4000 per household.  Essentially, Obama expects companies to operate at a loss for the good of the country--Ayn Rand would be snickering at this mindset.  In other words, cap-and-trade doesn't pay down the deficit; at best, it comes out even in cost/income ratios.  At worst, it raises the cost of living for everyone, including the poor.  Yet you're stupid enough to argue that this would be the bee's knees.

You can't even explain how Obama leaving $13 trillion in debt for his successor (plus interest) to pay down is better than Bush spending one third of that without myopically focusing on GWOT.

Only a tapeworm would make these arguments and believe that they were coherent, logical, factual, or made any economic sense at all.  No wonder you sound like a clueless idiot every time you post.

210 ...Maybe, if he really wants to accomplish something, he can put together a panel of "real people" and have them fix the health care system and then put it before congress.  "Real people" have no ax to grind, no favors for friends, no motive but to make sure every American is covered, the system is fair, and someone somewhere isn't making an enormous profit....

Posted by: muffy at April 25, 2009 11:16 AM (zplc6)

Muffy,

You describe yourself as an independent.  I'm curious, why is it important to you that "someone somewhere isn't making an enormous profit"?

If some sort of system were devised that could ensure that "every American is covered" (your desideratum, not necessarily mine) and someone or even many someones made tons of money in return for providing such coverage and/or health care would you think that a good thing?

Or, would a profit motive necessarily violate your conception of a system that is "fair".  If so, why?  This is an honest inquiry, not a gotcha of some sort.  I understand the distaste for cronyism in politics etc., and I think that I have a handle on the way the need for "universal coverage" has been framed thus far in the debate (dishonestly, IMO but that's for another time).  What I'm trying to get a better grasp of is how self described independents or moderates who are not really wonkinsh on this issue are thinking about things.

213 Obama just cut taxes you imbecile.

Of course he did no such thing.

But, since you're idiotically proclaiming he did, which tax rate declined?

Tell us, stupid. Your answer will be illumining.

And most if not all economists agree that government spending is the fastest and most effective way out.

Really?

National Economic Council Director Lawrence Summers is championing the $787 billion stimulus bill President Obama signed in February to spur economic activity. But eight years ago, he had a different view. "The idea that a huge spending program is the way to stimulate the economy, or the idea that the way to get better at high tech is for the government to take over the technology industries, these kinds of ideas basically have become passe because they've been disproven," Summers said in an April 2001 interview with PBS. "They don't represent a reading of experience." Citing his "enormous respect" for conservative economist Milton Friedman, Summers said, "There is something about this epoch in history that really puts a premium on incentives, on decentralization, on allowing small economic energy to bubble up rather than a more top-down, more directed approach, that may have been a more fruitful approach in earlier years."

Oh well, your lunacy will continue...

215 What's your idea? Another tax cut for the rich? How'd that last one work out?

Taxes were never cut "for the rich" you abject imbecile.

But as a point of fact, after the "Bush tax cuts" were enacted the deficit was down to $220 billion and unemployment was down below 4.5% and the DOW was over 14,000.

But I guess you are too dumb to remember that.

216 Buffet is referring to out horribly unfair tax code. Good God. Do the math. One guy's taxes don't amount to a hill of beans. And Buffet gives plenty away. He just gave $37 billion to charity.

Hilarious. Um, stupid, the tax code is "unfair" because Buffett is claiming deductions and using tax shelters, VOLUNTARILY.

And again, this idiot lie that Buffett's secretary paid 30% in taxes is so moronic of course you believe it. The effective federal income tax rate for the middle-fifth is just over 2%. That is a fact and you are a dipshit liar.

I love your lunatic "hill of beans comment" in light of the fact you are trumpeting the allegation he gave away $37 billion. So that is a lot, but he couldn't give it to the US treasury right?

No matter, you are too dumb to understand.

217 And what is Canada gonna do about it? Pull their troops out of Iraq? Oh, I forgot, our closest ally told to eat dirt on that one.

You do realize Canada is your largest trading partner right?  And that Canada has lost about a hundred and twenty soldiers and civilians in Afghanistan, five from "friendly" US fire, from an army a thirtieth the size of yours in a war that has not a lot to do with us?  In fact, we just lost another a couple of days ago.

By the way, we didn't have many troops in Iraq, but we had some.  There were about thirty exchange officers in the intitial invasion and others have serbed since.  For example, the current Chief of the Defence Staff, GEN Walter J. Natynczyk was Deputy Director of Strategy, Policy and Plans for III  (US) Corps , and subsequently the Deputy Commanding General of the Multi-National Corps in Iraq.

220 What conservatives need to do in the next year, is to become more active in the Republican party and take it back!  People that keep repeating that both parties are the same, and we need to start a new party, are going the route of Ross Perot.  Saying that the Republican party cannot be saved is like saying that the Democrats were always the party of commie loving, American hating, class warfare spouting, no good sons of bitches!  But that is not strictly true, that is more a description of the current imbecilic trolls that fish these waters.  You all realize that that is what a troll is don't you?  They are trolling!  They come here to keep us occupied with off topic issues so we don't accomplish anything worth repeating or spreading. They aren't those goat breeders from under the bridge.(Well, maybe as a hobby.)  They come here and spout off irrelevant screeds to get us to defend points that don't need defended or explained.  We gain nothing by arguing with them. They don't want to change their minds, and we wouldn't respect them if they did.  Case in point, how many on our side bad mouthed Romney for becoming Prolife?  What is the point in trying to change a mind if we ridicule the conversion?  We need to focus on what we can and need to do to educate the sheep to get them back into thinking mode, not waste time engaging with kool-aid drinkers.

What does trade have to do with anything?  Allies aren't measured by trade are they?  Canada hasn't been there for years.  Its been content to act as a leech, depending on the US to defend it while it attacks the US.  Hell if I had to select between Mexico and Canada I'd take Mexico anyday.  Mexico doesn't take commies, deserters, and jihaddies like Canada.

And if you take enough you turn into a nation like Canada.   Fuck Salvador sent more troops to Iraq than Canada, Lativa, Georgia, and Lithuania  send more troops to Afghanistan than Canada.  And their troops fight, they aren't trainers or rear area pogues like a certain nation's troops.  There are some real troops from Canada but they are few and outnumbered by our real allies.

Canada as an ally is only exceeded by our long time ally France.
