— Ace Tony Stark? Fuck you.
After completing two tours in Iraq, Sgt. Wayne Leyde won $1 million from a scratch-and-win lotto ticket on Tuesday. Now that he's won, Leyde, a 26-year-old member of the Washington National Guard, says he's still going to volunteer to go back to Iraq for a third tour and won't spend any of the money in the meantime.
...
Leyde couldn't believe it when he scratched a winning ticket, but he still plans to return to Iraq.
"It was a commitment I made about three months ago. I'm going to stick to it," Leyde said about his decision.
Now that's a motivated individual.
Not really related, except that it's swiped from Drudge -- here's that area-denial pain ray in action against the real enemy, a 60 Minutes reporter.

Hadn't thought about that, Trimegistus, but hell yeah...
On the other story- how does anyone possibly look at this and think, "Yeah, we need to draft people into the military"?
Hell, I'm planning on doing my medical residency in the military, but my God... I don't think I'm worthy to stand in Sgt. Leyde's presence. But perhaps that's why they put such great NCOs in officer schools... something to the effect of "Don't even think of being an officer unless you are worthy of commanding a man like this."

I wonder how much I can get for my car? For that, I'll walk to work.

make Michael Moore scream like a little girl.
It wouldn't last long enough. His high lard content would cause him to combust in a few seconds.
Of course that would be entertaining too.

First it was waterboarding, now it's milliwave weapons arrays...
I think we've found the perfect demographic of test subjects for all of our new weapons programs, - journalists and douchbags!
Say, would anyone be willing to test our new Gitmo Brown-Note Shockwave Ball-Gag? It's Loads of Fun!
...you have just gotta love the sadomasochistic Left.

When I was in the Army I always heard stories about this regulation. The regulation may, or may not exist.
However, given 8 years of experience, it would come down to the Company or Battalion commander to enforce it (assuming the regulation is true). It would come down to good order and discipline. If Soldier A is a gung-ho, squared-away, supertrooper, whom can stay that way whether he had 1 dollar in his bank account or 1 million; you aren't going to get rid of him.
If you have Joe Snuffi, who is a piece of crap -but not a big enough piece of crap to get rid of on other regulations- this regulation (again, if it exists) may be enforced.

President Obama's just going to confiscate his lottery winnings and redistribute them anyway.
What's the big deal?
