— Purple Avenger Ordinary friendly grasshopper + serotonin == ravenous locust.
...Knowing what causes this swift metamorphosis may help governments and farmers develop methods to control future locust outbreaks with chemicals that would suppress the offending serotonin...Or if you're a Doctor Evil type, trigger the transformation on demand to wreak havoc on your hapless victims.

I don't know why, but when I was growing up and actually playing outside, I never saw any grasshoppers...now they're a freakin infestation. And then there are those creepy black ones that get in your house...ugh.
If anybody brings serotonin up in my neighborhood, I promise I will survive and kill you.

I always thought a swarm of locusts was simply a lot of grasshoppers. And we have always had something that would protect crops in the 3rd world from them.
It was called DDT but the eco-idiots got rid of it over another case of bad science (or in the case of DDT no science at all).

The Utah connection was a given. Seagulls are so outmoded since miracles migrated into the chemical laboratory with the focus on behavioral science.

Speaking of Utah, they have a species of cricket out there that looks like something from "Alien". I call them robocrickets. And of course, there's always the tarantulas.
They must be stopped. Before they ask for a bailout.

Is anyone else getting the warning with their Google search results for any conservative blog that accessing that site will harm your computer?

Google has an advisory up stating that visiting this site might cause harm to my computer.
First time I've seen it.
Just passing along the word.

It appears the locusts are influenced by the predominant religion in the area. It might be the polygamy factor. Coincidence or what?
the Mormon Cricket infestation problem: area dominated by Mormon's which at that time practiced polygamy
the desert locust (Schistocerca gregaria). The species infamous for wreaking havoc from Africa to Asia = area dominated by Islam which practices polygamy
Mormon's quit praticing polygamy in 1890 - Presto! No more Mormon Cricket problems.
Two options for solving the Africa/Asia locust problem:
1.Islam must stop the practice of polygamy or:
2: Get rid of Islam
I vote for #2

I'm thinking bigger, much bigger...like starved/rabid wharf rats. A nice wharf rat invasion at the Academy Awards would have them running for their lives.

You mean, science that shows the stuff is poisonous to every living thing and that it destroys entire ecosystems is bad science?
Sorta like how the lab work that shows your tumor is malignant is bad science. Without the knowledge that you have cancer, you can die quicker, more painfully, but still ignorant.
