A pathological liar simply cannot be trusted to tell the truth about herself, even on a subject as routine as a pregnancy and infant son. I can't believe I'm asking these questions either. But in the absence of any answers, what am I supposed to do?I know this puts me out of the mainstream of acceptable Washington opinion. But let me just remind Alex that doubting the existence of Saddam's WMDs put some people out of the mainstream of acceptable Washington opinion.
Warning: Link below is very not safe for work.
If he can't lay off children, I'm afraid I'm going to have to re-link Sullivan's Very Not Safe For Work/Explicit Gay Sex Content Infamous Bareback City Anonymous Gay Sex Cruising Ad every day until the election.
Every. Fucking. Day.
Give It. A Fucking Rest. You Fucking. Child-Hating. Vagina-Envy. Brain-Detrioriated. Bi-Polar. Borderline Personality Disorder. Steroid-Raging. Degenerate. Psychopath.
Andrew Sulivan -- a very versatile commentator.
Actually, this is the first time I've posted this. I posted something like it once for an hour before having a change of heart. But technically, this is the first time.
But not the last.
P-Shop? Can someone clean that ad up, slightly, but ad in The Atlantic's masthead and connect it up with the Atlantic? Like "I dig 3-ways, I dig black guys, I dig making defamatory remarks about 17 year old girls"?
If you can, let me know. We'll knock it around, make it presentable for publication. Make it funny-- and deadly.
The Atlantic "apologizes" for the Greenberg pictures but keeps this insane, heterophobic professional homosexual on its site day after day. Day after day.
Any apologies for Sullivan, Bennet? No?

No objection to every day, but perhaps just a link back to this post would make the point. Plus at the top of this post a stronger health warning and a 'Read Comments before deciding whether to click on the link".
That will get the point across and cut down on the number of people who click and regret.

Rosie O'Donnell has this on her site:
I believe that the McCain/Palin ticket is one of the most dangerous choices of my lifetime, and should this country chose those candidates the fall-out may be so great, the destruction so vast in so many areas that America may never recover. But what is equally disturbing is the impact that duo would have on the rest of the world.
After claiming that Bush was the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th coming of Satan, she thinks that America might never recover from McCain/Palin? After rambling on the view about how Bush destroyed the country, there is still something here to destroy?

But when push comes to shove, shove being in the form of insane nastiness from someone who he acknowledges is both nasty and insane, Ace calls attacks on Obama's very young children in bounds and fair game.
Most people here disagree with him and that's to their credit. Ace should get over whatever meds he's on, get well from whatever sickness he has, and come back to his senses before he tars himself as a total sick asshole.
Posted by: Cbristoph at September 17, 2008 05:10 PM (hawOV)
His shenanigans may drive traffic now, but ultimately it diminishes both the Atlantic and what little reputation he had left.
You know what they say about crawling in the mud with a pig. If you believe families are truly off-limits you can't go down that road regardless of the depths to which your foes may plumb. But I can't see that there's anything wrong with asking questions about the sources. I'm sure he's a very bitter man, what with the cards he's drawn for himself, and takes great solace in nitpicking the happiness of people who have chosen more wisely. The Palins seem to have a very happy, dedicated, and proud family life - something that must gnaw at the very core of a man who trolls for anonymous gay sex.
I mean, when he dies what is he going to leave behind? Another generation to build on America's great traditions and success? Real political reform? A plaque or statue on anything but a bath house or hole in the wall inside some seedy disco?
Nope, just bile-soaked ramblings about the children of a politician he hated.
I'd be bitter too. And probably angry at God.

Let's not drive Sullivan to suicide. He is an old, fat, unattractive, terrified man who has chosen a lifestyle where youth and beauty are all that matters. He has his own tortures. Rejoice in that if you are into schadenfreude.
He wants attention, and, like Michael Moore, will go to any length to get it. Stop feeding the beast that keeps him going. He is completely irrelevant.
Posted by: Pavel at September 17, 2008 05:22 PM (/jsnH)
Although I do think Obama's decision to send his children to an exclusive private school is a legitimate issue. He's supposedly been involved in public education in Chicago as a community organizer, through the CAC, and as a state senator yet he decided Chicago's public schools weren't capable of educating his children.
What the fuck was he doing for Chicagos' public schools and why the fuck are they still so bad after 10+ years of Obama's attention that he's paying $20,000+ annually to keep his daughters as far away from public school?
Should every parent have that option? Why do you oppose school vouchers? Are your children better than all the other children in Chicago? Why shouldn't every child be allowed to avoid your personal and public schools' (in many cases) failures in Chicago?
Is there any task in a community as important as educating its children?

Going after Obama's children is out of bounds. We are above that. I do get the point that Ace is making, I do. But I really don't want Sullivan, of all people, to drag us down to that level.
Yes, posting the ad on a daily basis is totally fair game. Sullivan is, purportedly, an adult. He deserves this scorn. But children are out of bounds or should be in a decent society. This election is dragging discourse to depths I never thought possible. At some point we have to stand athwart screaming stop.

Look, the first reaction is to fight fire with fire. Any red blooded American man understands that. And if necessary, in a total war, it will come to that. But until Obama starts using the law to crack down on bloggers, it hasn't come to that yet. Right now, we can fight back by going after Sullivan.
Sullivan has to pay and the answer is to publish his insane ad throughout the world, to show people how demented he is. The idea about photoshopping the ad is a great start.

The only thing that helps is exposing THEM to the same rules applied to US. Only when they get a taste of it will they realize it's in everyone's interest to just. Fucking. Leave the kids. Alone.
But I have dropped my question and won't bring it up again.
Posted by: ace at September 17, 2008 05:28 PM (1WR4H)
But of course. Asking questions about Saddam's WMD program is analogous to our heroic Andrew Sullivan asking questions (remember, he's just asking questions) about a fucking 4-month old baby.
No, a thousand nos: Leave Obama's kids out of this. If it's wrong to attack a candidate's children, it's simply wrong period. No matter who's children.
Do you think that the left will stop this if we respond? For what good?
The best revenge against Sullivan is to totally reject him. And what he does.
Posted by: EricH at September 17, 2008 05:29 PM (PmSoD)
No, it's called accountability. Sullivan is the one posting about this. Sullivan is the one who is so far across the line of decency that he can't see it from where he is. Consequences must be had for that. There is nothing deranged about being infuriated about such insanity. Ace is posting to actual, admitted, documented facts. Sullivan is insane about Palin's children. There is an enormous difference.

Yup, again.
Each and every day. More of the same and worse.
My real objection to George Walker Bush is that he never really was the fascist BusHitler that he was accused of being.
Every book store, and so-called comedian, and countless articles, and news stories about how "evil" and "corrupt" he and his administration were, and yet he never really fought back.
For a being the "world's worst person since Hitler" I think he did a pretty poor job of it.
Maybe if he had Michael Moore arrested, tortured, executed, along with most of Hollywood, the NYTimes, Time, Newsweek, WaPo, then we would be on to something.
In the end, Bush just didn't have the heart to fight. I don't know why but he didn't.

I'll care about what you think about who I fuck or whom Iwant to fuck someday around...oh, the 12th after never. Shithead.

Sullivan is the original concern troll.
Claims to be Christian, check. Claims to be conservative/libertarian, check.
Frequently refers to this, then adds a BUT..
...and then parrots left-wing talking points non-stop - check. In fact s/he generates much of the left wing's talking points. So double-check.
The concern troll kids these days have Andi to thank for inventing their formula.
Their milky, milky formula.

The world is strange enough that there are probably plenty of Sullivans. (I know - one is plenty. But you know what I mean.) What's hard to figure is why any significant number of people would give him the time of day. Then again, I have trouble figuring that out about a more than a few people so I must be missing something.
By all means, ridicule the douche. Make him pay for taking shots at kids. Go over the line to stop the abuse if that's what it takes. But it's sobering to see at least some of us here would seriously consider hurting other kids to do this. All of us know better than that.

Ace, good call on keeping the kids out of it, the anger is understandable, but as with all things, men must control emotions, not let emotions control them.
Andi's not exactly a man, see, he's a little bitch, and that's why you can't fight him on his level.
