This still includes some convention 'bounce' ,such as it was. Going --- Going ---- GONE.
I expect he will be up by 2 in the very near future, and up by nothing by maybe Thursday. After that if he is lucky he will be tied again. If there is any justice he will be trailing.
For Messiahs --- trailing is very very bad. Leads to questions of faith. Those are always pesky little thingies.
Gallup will soon revert to a +2 / + 3 mode as well. If it goes south too ,barring a disaster in the McCain campaign ,I think the fat lady can start to warm up in earnest.

How much $$$ is Obama going to have to spend in order to get a point in the polls? If the bundle they blew on the convention couldnt buy him anything, I doubt he can raise enough to win this election.

It gets EVER BETTER:
Andrew "Milky Loads" Sullivan squats eight plates, and gets turned on by black guys.

I've read posts on PUMA sites... these are Democrat sites, folks... where the blue on blue action is just scary. We might look back wistfully at Dan Rather forging documents and think that was lightweight compared to what's coming.

...but it does benefit someone. Do you know who this benefits?
Mitt Romney.

quote:
"They have also tried to dig into the pasts and personal lives of other Pumas. They have also attacked my mother. Listen up Pumas, if you are in any way public as a Puma be prepared to have any and every embarrassing, disparaging, and damaging fact from your life publicized and ridiculed. If youve had a DUI or a speeding ticket, watch out. If youve had a business go bankrupt or a check bounced, watch out. If youve been divorced or sued, watch out. If youve been photographed topless or drunk, watch out. If your lights have been turned off because you couldnt pay the bill; if your children have been in trouble or you changed your voter registration or moved WATCH OUT. They are coming for us and they will exploit every angle they possibly can."

... it's still nice to see McCain fight a good campaign.

It almost appears as though Obama is fighting to come in second.
That's not a very leaderly appearance.

Now if we could just turn around the Congressional races with the oil arguments...
The recriminations in the Democratic Party would be glorious.
Sigh, can't let hopes get away with themselves.

That's just so wrong IMAO.
The ONLY important thing is the electoral collage total and that map although it favors Obama in terms of the States has locked up and makes a lot of McCain States must wins, also indicates that there are now only 4 critical States. I think that the others are pretty much decided.
Ohio
Virginia
Nevada
Colorado
I also think that Ohio and Nevada are just about to become pretty much McCain leaning States. That leaves just two. And frankly I think that McCain has to be considered the clear favorite in Virgina. Not by much but by enough.
That leaves just Colorado and it will be a tough battle but hardly one that cannot, indeed should not, be won.
And this ignores the quite possible gains in New Hampshire,Michigan, and Minnesota. By the time the election rolls around I expect that Detroit's mayor will be out of office or so weakened that the machine there will not be operating at full capacity so Michigan looks ever better for a pickup.
If I were a betting man I would take McCain for teh win and fully expect to make a bundle.

I saw somebody today (was it Krauthammer? He's usually not such a jackass...) whining "In a year when generic democrats are beating generic republicans by 10%....".
Dude. Dude. What year hasn't a generic democrat beaten a generic republic by 10%?
1994?
The problem with a 10% lead is generic democrats out-poll actual real democrats by 15-20%.

"Andi must be going nuts. Obama's convention bounce has gone splat like a milky load on some power glutes."
That and the wizard-off-a-bridge thing win teh intarweb for today!

So true. Actual democrats always underperform generic democrats, and real life republican candidates always outpoll generic republicans. It's been that way since at least the reagan administration.

LOL if for ANY reason it was worth putting her on the ticket to give the Messiah the deadest corpse bounce in the history of presidential elections
That doesnt change the fact that the RNC is going to need to get her story out there- loud and clear- to the millions who know nothing about her
I mean if Slow Joe Hairplugzz can get people to like him by giving a speech, then shes gonna blow peoples minds

Remember 2000? The libs will freak out when they try to rationalize how their champion lost. Aligations of voter fraud, racism and UFO's may come into play
Reality will be this is wat happens when you put a lightwirght community organizer of Chichago with only 4 years of Senate Experience up aganist a grizzled War Hero.
