I agree.....there is no chance in hell SNL would ever go after Obama in any negative way. It is not so much that they are afraid to do it, but in their eyes they had a direct hand in getting him in office, and they sure as hell don't want to expose any notion that they made a mistake.

Had a friend with ties to the show, and apparently the writers like to brag that they are a controlling factor in pop culture and politics. Since you can imagine that 75% of them are Looney Lefties they probably don't have the slightest clue of looming disaster or the economics.

How stupid. Yeah, maybe when they went after the funny wherever it could be found, but from the time that ugly bitch, Tina Fey, was made head writer, the show has been totally blind on the left. Even for stuff that writes itself. In the old days, they used to go after everybody. Remember Willie Horton showing up at the Dukakas watch party?

And now? I actually thought about transcribing the jokes from the fake news portion of the show and posting them. They were pedestrian, horribly lame, not even rising to the level of the sophormoric. We throw away more jokes here in one evening in the ONT that are far and away better than what they spend all week writing for that lame ass show.
