PDS: It's What's For Breakfast (Kat-MO)
— Open Blog

Amongst all the dread of an economic meltdown and impending global doom, comes this:

Palin Pick Puts Many Women on the Verge

A posting on a New York-based Web site for women, Jezebel.com, spoke of unbridled anger. "What I feel for her privately could be described as violent, nay, murderous, rage," an associate editor at Jezebel, Jessica Grose, wrote just after the Republican convention wrapped up. "When Palin spoke on Wednesday night, my head almost exploded from the incandescent anger boiling in my skull."[snip]

"When I see people crowing about her 'acceptable' speech last Wednesday ... I literally want to vomit with rage," a comment from Anibundel said.

Ha-ha...ha-ha-ha...muwahahahahahaahhaaahaaa!

OMFG! Seriously, if you get nothing else out of this election, this is pure enjoyment. This is wa-a-a-y better than BDS. It is instantaneous mass hysteria and...

I. AM. LOVING. IT!

I would pay money to see that.

At least now they know how it feels when I have to see Nancy Pelosi's face and hear her "drilling is a hoax" BS. I swear, she is like the Wicked Witch of the West. I keep waiting for someone to run up and throw water on her just to test out the theory.

Not that I'm suggesting anything, mind you. Responsible blogging and all that.

Of course, everybody knows who the wizard is...

2 These women hate her because she is everything they are cannot be.
She had a family and a good career at the same time.  They only had a career or a career and broken marriage.  She is happy and upbeat, they are spiteful and shrewish.

When people fight biology they still lose in the end.

3 They're reaction to her is comparable to my reaction to the AP today.  The AP: Because Sarah Palin deserved it.  It doesn't matter if it was a crime.
They're actions were the kind that makes me want to burn the AP building to the ground.

4 The significant difference I experience personally is that Nancy Pelosi makes me angry due to the actual words that are coming out of her mouth, rather than simply her existence.

No politician really enrages me though.  They're politicians, it's their nature.  Getting "incandescently angry" over Obama would be like getting personally offended by stoplights.

(And I would have little doubt that the women above would be easily convinced that their local traffic signal was plotting against them, at the level of anger they seem to carry around. *sigh*)

5 Liberal women hate her because if she is elected their reason for power evaporates. As the article states they see themselves as path makers but his path is almost universally a liberal one and they are inextricably tied. Palin breaks that knot and her election would keep it from ever being retied. Reagan put the final nail in Communism as a viable political system. If Palin is elected and McCain has even a decent 8 years then she would be President in 2016. Politics would not even matter. Only another woman could stop her and there isn't one that would have 10 years in Executive office. Perhaps Condi Rice or Hillary could challenge her if they won a governorship for a few years. Palin is the final nail in the old line feminist coffin and they know it. They have to break that nail before it could ever be hammered because once it's in the lid is shut forever.

12 Second paragraph and first representative "many women": "Nancy Kricorian of Manhattan"

Way to go, NYSun. Disclose the extreme bias of the main voice for "many women" at the last possible moment.

16 I don't think this is funny. It's only a matter of time before some of these people decide to act on what they are already openly calling "murderous rage". God willing, Palin won't leave office until 2025. That's a long time for these hateful twits to show some self-control.

17 "A psychiatrist who wrote a book remotely psychoanalyzing President Bush, Justin Frank, said some women felt Mr. McCain was mocking them by naming an unqualified but attractive woman to the ticket..."

Um, yes, please do tell us more, Dr., about your opinions on what is what and your theories of proxy mocking. I'm sure another volume would be wholly enlightening and legitimate. Wait. That's not it. What's the word... ah, yes. An utter waste of time and money.

Remote psychoanalysis. Worth as much as the parchment your certification was written on and more than your integrity. Did you know that when Bush says "nucular," he secretly means "that Justin Frank guy is a real Clymer?" Go figure. Word association was always tricky... and the most definitive. It (intent of mispronounced "nuclear") was in a rapid communication for Remote Psychology and A Nickel Will Get You Coffee Today a couple of years ago.

But don't hold back so much. The idea that Senator McReptiliancortex chose Palin to bug them is too rich- especially since McNeedsLotsofRest never picked her, Karl U Know Who picked her [so McFeeble would have something to activate his stump] These chicks went into a millions wombless clit conga over Hillary, and now they're sending each other Maurice code to vote for the new sheriff. Sarah Palin is a prominent living and breathing refutation of the beliefs, the predjudices, and the life choices these women have made.

Their conceit that only women inside the bubble live meaningful lives has been threatened by the rise of Sarah Palen.

Sarah Palin pisses them off on many levels:

1.  As someone else stated, she is in position to beat a "good" feminist to the White House.  She has failed to be properly indoctrinated at some point and now she espouses the radical ideas of home and family.

2.  They nominated The Smartest Man in the World® as their presidential candidate.  He was immediately outmaneuvered by an old man.  This cracks the veneer of awesomeness that surrounds Barry.

3.  The Best Candidate Ever® failed to secure the nomination of her party.  Instead, the governor of a third-rate state made it to her party's ticket.  Clearly, since she's not the Best Candidate Ever®, she is lower than moose spit.

AS THOUGH Jezebels think that Palin WANTS to be another Jezebel.

Jezebel.com knows, however, that Michelle wants to be in that number, that downright mean American number of harpies. FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HER ADULT LIFE Michelle is proud of her American Right to rampage catty white women in their own club. Knock down, drag out CAT FIGHTS go left down Michelle's alley. The only sacrifices worthy of this club's membership are blood sacrifices that begin with infanticide eventually requiring motherhood be burnt at the altar. Exceptions given club members only. Conservatives are banned from existence (not just from membership).

Jezebel.com exercises a distinct vendetta against all females of other persuasions than a militant individualism requiring absence of family.

I don't know what liberal women want (or any other kind for that matter), but I have a suspicion they want to marry The State and be taken care of since they are unable or unwilling to attract and keep a man.

Sarah Palin revealed how she does it in the Hannity interview last night: She has a functional extended family and they all help out with the kids and life in general. What a concept! The left has done everything possible to denigrate and destroy the family, and now these people see that having a big, functioning family can be a joy while the life choices the left allows lead only to misery and emptiness.

I think this is the key. One of the classic Hollywood tropes is that the nerds triumph over the cool kids in the end. Right. I get that. I mean, you know, the popular kids. The football players and the cheerleaders. The nerds are the ones who are really cool, underneath it all. The trope is that this is supposed to become evident later on. The nerds triumph, and become successful and beautiful (in their pleasingly quirky way), and the popular kids end up working at the gas station. That's how it's supposed to go. Palin drives them crazy because she doesn't fit that mold.

82 Thanks for the background on "vomit with rage", the latest entry into my generalized lexicon. Yes, I will be using it. And knowing that those words were first uttered on the Simpsons will add gravitas. (Although I am reminded of the Mad skit where the actors were "literally" referring to events around them.) Had she actually vomited with rage...now that is obviously an indicator of a greater rage. She didn't, only referred to it as if she had, literally. .

That whole article is rank with hatred and guilt.  The hysteria is completely disproportionate to any political environment and belies an under-lying and deep-seated emotion.

The following comment was left on the NYSun article:

Submitted by Irene Mettler, Sep 19, 2008 02:19

Uncontrollable rage is usually not a sign of resentment or anxiety, but of guilt.

And I had previously seen this comment at HotAir and thought it added some insight:

I’d guess that 90% of the women so incensed about Palin’s success have aborted a healthy baby (or advised someone else to abort a healthy baby) simply because it was an inconvenience, and Palin challenges their easy acceptance of killing their own children. They want to kill her too, because she makes them confront what they did. They did something evil, and Palin (and her daughter) remind them that they didn’t have to do it. They hate her, because if they didn’t, they’d have to hate themselves.

The reason they hate Palin is that she is a giant neon sign that reads "Feministas, you've gone about it the wrong way". By reaching the pinnacles of success they can only fantasize about (personally and professionally) the cognitive dissonance has grown so loud, the cerebral vibrations are the driving force for the rage.

If it is true that a woman can be successful in public <em>and in private,</em> they've all given up their private lives for nothing. Nobody makes that clearer than the happily married and devoted mother Governor Palin.

But what really drives them crazy is the idea that there are more of us out here that followed the same course, with successful professional and personal lives and there was no castration involved. It's shocking to them I'm sure.

It's like being told there is only one way to skin a cat, and then all around you are hundreds of skinned cats - and those are just your friends, there are more to come!

Angry feminist is a redundancy. These people are threatened because their out of  kilter world view gets  upended again and again. Seeing a mom that takes care of her own kids, has a career, and is hot besides is a deep threat to these gals- kinda like talk of abolishing slavery was for a lot of Confederates.

I had the biggest smile on my face reading this article. I love thinking about these hysterical women quaking in their boots about a strong, conservative woman working hard and succeeding without the stupid litmus tests they want to apply to everyone. Just because someone is from a small town in Alaska doesn’t mean she is not intelligent enough to run for public office. Remember the governor of Arkansas, Bill Clinton? He was a draft dodger with no foreign policy experience from an incredibly small town in Arkansas. Was he qualified? How about John Edwards? He was an ambulance chaser with even less experience than Barack Obama (hard to believe) but I bet these women loved him. What a joke. Keep freaking out ladies…I’ll keep smiling.

103 Again, "Feminism" shows its true colors.  It is only in favor of women rising to power if those women that succeed agree with them.  Sara Palin should be regarded as a champion of women: she was involved in her community, she was elected to city council through that involvement, she was elected mayor of that community, and then in a major upset, was elected governor of her state, overturning a male dominated system.  But instead, she is being reviled by "feminists" and Libs in general simply because she is not one of them.

They are terrified she will succeed through her hard work, where they have failed through their incessant whining.

Pulling Teddy Roosevelt quotes:  Source

http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/quotes/t/theodorero118459.html

I think Palin would like these:

A vote is like a rifle; its usefulness depends upon the character of the user.

The only man who never makes a mistake is the man who never does anything.

Character, in the long run, is the decisive factor in the life of an individual and of nations alike.

Old age is like everything else. To make a success of it, you've got to start young.

Courtesy is as much a mark of a gentleman as courage.

It is difficult to make our material condition better by the best law, but it is easy enough to ruin it by bad laws.

The unforgivable crime is soft hitting. Do not hit at all if it can be avoided; but never hit softly.

It is only through labor and painful effort, by grim energy and resolute courage, that we move on to better things.

Every immigrant who comes here should be required within five years to learn English or leave the country.

No man is justified in doing evil on the ground of expedience.

117 The Drudge link to the SB story isn't working, newsbusters is probably crashed by the traffic.

So much of the quasi-feminist derangement about Palin springs from her right-to-life views. For them, the only 'choice' ANY woman should ever make is to have an abortion. They cannot think beyond that.

In other Palin news, here are the full clips of her interviews with Sean Hannity. It looks like the full length of all of them, not the way they were cut to fit the various Fox shows.

Watched in their entirety, they really give you a sense of how independent and composed and REAL she is.

Poets do.  And poets are notoriously unstable, so there's nothing to be done about it but enjoy the show.

Palin is a perfect illustration of the victory of feminism.  That's right, feministas, VICTORY OF FEMINISM.  Now even conservatives agree that women have to right to self-determination, career of their choosing, etc., to the point where it is taken for granted and women just do it, and that is what I always thought the fight was about.  We WON, get it?  Now get over it!

Sarah is way more successful than these Lipstick Jungle/Sex and the City pseudo feminists.  They can't stand her because she got to her position without being a frigid, man-hating, child-hating bitch.

Most of these women are in their late 30's early 40's and they are just beginning to realize that since they aborted all of their potential offspring and never got married, they are probably going to die alone.

These women have probably slept with countless metrosexual beta-males and can't stand the fact that Sarah is married to a total fucking stud.

They have always considered children and husbands to be a hindrance to achieving success.  But in the case of SP her family has been her biggest support group and driving force behind her success.  This is just one more thing that SP has proven them wrong on.

The difference seems to be that I recognize that neither Sarah Palin nor the rest of you got married and had families with the express intention of making me feel like worthless shit.

I'm rabidly and bitterly jealous of both Palin and Pelosi, but only one of them wants to confiscate my wages for redistribution to single mothers and aging childless feminists, instead of allowing me to keep them for my own old age, and only one of them wants to make it impossible for me to afford to drive to work on what's left.

Ergo, I like Palin.

Although I do confess I'm about one "Sarah Palin is an evil bitch who hates women!" conversation away from going Towanda the Avenger on the bitter barren divorcees of my acquaintance.  Especially if they say anything shitty about her baby.
