— Ace On the plus side, it can't have been terribly effective if the Palestinians need to tell people they fired it.
The group had recently claimed to possess about 20 biological warheads for the makeshift rockets commonly fired from Gaza at Israeli towns. This was the first time the group had claimed firing such a rocket. The al-Aqsa Brigades have fired one rocket with a chemical warhead at southern Israel, Abu Qusai, a spokesman for the group, said in Gaza.
No comment yet from Israeli officials. Scientists, I'm sure, will determine if a chem warhead was indeed fired.
In a way, I hope it's true. Because I don't think that Jews living in a state created after the Holocaust are going to appreciate attempts to mass-murder civilians with poison gas.
There needs to be some clarity. For too long the Palestinians have been protected from the natural consequences of their own brutality and bloody-mindedness, allowed by the Western world to make war while pretending at peace. This has only infantilized them, shielding them from the rightful consequences of their actions, encouraging them to become more vicious.
At some point there has to be a war to resolve this, a real war, with the other side fighting back. And one side needs to be decimated and humilated. That's how peace is made. Only when people truly feel the horrors of war are they willing to give it up.

Does that meen they are so infatilized, that they think taping a "fart bomb" on the tip of a rocket is equivalent to a chemcial weapon?

The "palestinians" actually hateful little arabs who can't stand the fact that most arabs think they are persian cross breed "niggars" are lashing out at Israel.
So, slaughter palestine, and expand the borders of the "zionist" nation, with a shitload of happy arab citizens. It's cold, but it's true.

Will the Europeans be horrified by this development and demand a war crimes tribunal against the Palestinians?
What kind of double speak will the buffons in Brussells come up with this time to cover up this crime?

And off goes their twenty year old technology roosky rocket.
Meanwhile, the Chosen People are embarassing the United States once again.
They are showing the world the proper response when ONE soldier is kidnapped for gross torture.
See, that's not a tragedy, that's an atrocity.
Proper response to an atrocity?

I hear the Israeli's have been buzzin' the Syrian ruler's summer palace at Mach II off an on during the night at low level.
Fantastic.
God Bless Israel.

That has long been the weakness of the Left's® way of thinking regarding terrorists. THe terrorists understand strength. You give them the back of your hand and they get the message. When you apologize to them for making them waste their bullets killing you, you only make them laugh at you more.

The whole problem with that concept is that antibiotics have decreased the threat posed by the decomposing carcass of an oxen, and even the world's biggest trebuchet can't launch that kind of a payload more than a half-mile. What worked for the siege of Jerusalem when the Crusaders were penned up inside the walls won't work quite as well against a nuk-le-ahr power like Israel.

I just hope Dr. Rice doesn't urge Israel to show restraint here. For once and for all, let's have at it and let the chips fall where they may.

While she's called for restraint publically, I'm more interested in what we're telling them when the cameras are off. Arafat ain't the only one who can say one thing in English and something else in Arabic...

Sorry BM but the dogs of war have long been held on a leash. I do believe that as Ace has stated that the time has come to unleash Isreal and let them truly defend themselves.

"We will surprise you with our new weapons the moment the first soldier sets foot in the Gaza Strip."
From the Jerusalem Post. Am I the only one wondering where these terribly sophisticated people managed to get various types of chemical and biological weapons?

Palis are such idiots, they get used like a condom by every half brained middle-eastern regime and always end up flushed down the loo.
This time could be different though. I have not heard much braying from Europe, and Russians are getting a rude awakening by the murder of their diplomats.

The rest of the Arabs could really care less about the Palis, yet at the same time see them as a way to demonize Israel,
The Muslim way of thinking is very strange and very backwards. I jokingly sometimes wonder if the Palis arent some type of a cosmic joke being played on humanity by some alien race. Its the 21st century and here with the Palis we truly have a throw back to the 8th century when mankind was going threw an extremely violent upheavel. The Muslim world in general looks and acts violent but the Palis are a pitbull in comparsion to the poodle of the rest of the Muslims world.

If and when they launch a serious chemical or biological attack on Israel, they will be completely crushed. If the palestinians then turn to MSM and cry, "See what they are doing to us?!" the media will pause, before replying "Er, well, you did use WMDs..."
To which the palestinians can reply "Yes, but we always said we would if we could and you never objected. Weren't you listening?"

Fighting back? I hope the LGF boys don't see you advocating that.
Since the Gaza withdrawal in 2005 there have been about 1000 Palestinian missiles fired into Israel and around 8000 artillery shells fired into Gaza by Israel. These artillery attacks have resulted in the deaths of 80 people in Gaza in the last 6 months alone, while Palestinian rockets have killed 8 people in Israel in the past 5 years.
I assume that when you suggest one side is far more aggressive and the other should start fighting back with far greater intensity when it comes to these artillery exchanges you are advocating more Qassam rockets be produced and fired into Israel by Palestinian militants.
