— Ace First I thought this was a fakey internet thing, then I realized it was too professional looking to be fake.
Awesome. Reagan is "the ultimate buzzkill."
Opens on 4.20 (huh, huh, huh).
I don't know. I guess this is disrespectful. But in some ways, it's the ultimate tribute.

Yeah, but everyone cheers for Ronnie, just like we do Hannibal Lector or Freddie, or Chucky.

As long as this movie isn't a total liberal circle jerk in terms of its overall message, it'll be the greatest thing ever.
well Paul Reubens is in it so i wouldnt get my hopes up...or sit in front of him at the premier.

I guess it's a bio pic.
Ronald Regan on student protests when he was governor:
"If it takes a bloodbath to silence the demonstrators," Reagan said,
"let's get it over with."
I think the air traffic controllers got off easy.

Sisnistar, you damn well know it will be a total liberal circle jerk.
The voice over says "from the mind of david arquette"
He might have been raised on a commune, his brother/sister might be a drag queen/transexual, but I don't think he's really come up with a way of expressing his diverse pro-commune-transgendered tolerance. He's just a goofball who is usually able to be funny, even if acting and premise sucks.

In 07 the New War on Drugs begins: Just say 'NOOOOOO!!'
"The governments views of zombies could be summed up in a few short phrases: if it moves - tax it. if it keeps moving - regulate it. And if its still moving - Aim for the Head."
Q: So Mre Reagan did you hit that hippie in the crotch with a fire ax?
A: I do not recall....Brains!
"How do you tell an anti-zombiest? Someone who watches Romero and Simon Pegg. How do you tell a zombiest? Someone who eats Romero and Simon Pegg."
"The best minds are not in government. I ate them."
"The 11 most terrifying word in the english language - 'im from the government and im here to eat your brains."

The only way I would possibly like this movie is if the hippies were the monstrous villians and zombie Reagan was the hero.
Like, Donald Trump could pay a bunch of scientists to bring back a super powerful bionic zombified Reagan to deal with a group of degenerate drugged up hippy trash trespassing and squatting on other people's lands to prevent development and engauging in sabotage, eco-terrorism and treason.

for word I'll eat a bug. I call bullshit. As near as I can
tell reagan was responding to the supposed threat of violence from
protestors and added "no more appeasement." "To silence the
demonstrators," my arse. That's a Dowdified quote if I ever saw
one.

And it comes out on April 20 because . . . [wait for it] . . . that's Hitler's birthday, and of course, EVERYONE knows that Ronnie was JUST LIKE Hitler.
I predict a hopeless liberal circle jerk.
Posted by: Sharkman at March 30, 2007 10:01 AM (ZPrNN)
Sharkman?
It comes out on april 20th, because of the stupid 420 thing that stoned hippy wanna be douche's who major in diversity studies, and are members of the William S. Burroughs and Jack Kerouac undergraduate review society.

Wicked:
Thanks for the correction. I prefer to think that, since Hitler was a well-known pot smoker, we are both right.

But, in truth....
A Zombified Reagan could run this country better than 9 billion Liberals in complete control of their mental faculties, or lack thereof.

otcc,
in the comentary for clerks 2, you learn that even though kevin and jay are still best friends, jason set up shop in LA to pursue a career in movies, doing the hobknob thing.
Kevin might be one of the best writers and directors for jason to work with, but you can't build a career like that, at least nowadays. Too few movies, too few opportunities, and it's just not right for your agent to hammer down on your best friend for however long now.
I say cool, jason actually appears to be playing a straight man in this movie. . . . let me correct "the" straight man" I meant.

<_<
>_>
This may be the first shlock slasher flick where I cheer for the slasher. Go Ronnie go!! Kill the hippies!! ^_^
Now, for a better treatment of Reagan in pop culture, go to the Shortpacked! webcomic page. Good Reagan t-shirt there, it's definitely tongue in cheek, but Reaganites can wear it with some pride.

still, it appears that a lot of hippies die, so i'm in.

Wait, doesn't everyone root for the slasher? The characters in these things are usually such horrible people (Cabin Fever) that the best part is counting up the deaths.

Ah, yes! Just one of the many reasons I voted for Reagan...twice.
So nice to see an upbeat, feel-good movie coming out of Hollywood.
And Drew, you'd better get a tampon; you are menstruating again. Waaa!

28 Jeepers, I wonder what kind of horror movies they'll be making about Dick Cheney in 20 years...
I suppose a movie like that would be along the lines of "Hobo With A Shotgun." Only better.
Posted by: otcconan at March 30, 2007 03:02 PM (z7Tck)
Oh, how the world needs another Reagan. Or at least bring the old one back from the grave.
He must have been pretty good if the libs are still going after him 20 years after he left office. Keep on trying to rewrite that history.
