Obama: "We're Not Going to be Bullied"
— Ace

Oh for Christ's sake call a waaahmbulance already, Buttercup.

How is this sissy going to stand up to someone a bit more menacing than Sarah Palin?

"We're not going to be bullied, we're not going to be smeared, we're not going to be lied about," Obama said. "I don't believe in coming in second."

Don't worry, Princess. You'll be coming in third, Joe Biden in fourth.

He said this while attending a fundraiser hosted by long-haired ex-prettyboy Bon Jovi, incidentally. Then they went out shopping for "outfits."

He's smeared her in the most vile ways through his surrogates, and claimed she was a fluffybrained muffinheaded chillbilly bumpkin beauty queen from "Wasilly" Alaska, and now he's up there resolutely swearing he won't let a 110 pound woman "bully" him?

What are you afraid she's going to do to you, Stacy? Adorable you to death?

Oh, and by the way, Candace, you are going to be bullied:

wonderticket.jpg

Thanks to Slublog for both the tip and the photoshop.

Slublog comments: "This guy has to have the most acute martyr complex I've ever witnessed. And to answer with bluster and faux bravado? He's about as tough as a whimpering puppy."

Indeed.*

The endless caterauling and whiiiining and poor-me-ing. Oh Mommy MSM, please save me from the bad lady.

God have mercy, sack up if you've got a sack at all.

Hat tip to Allah for "chillbilly."

* Well, the second-most acute martyr complex at least, after Shrieking Sullivan.

Incidentally, I have to say something. It's mean, but it's dead on. If you are familiar with Sullivan's oevure, you know he only has three modes of emotion, and they're readily apparent in his writing.

1) gushing infatuation and crush-diary excess,

2) deranged, nearly psychopathic anger and viciousness when either he or the current object of his borderline personality disorder fixation is threatened;

3) dark, dark blues of deep depression, when his posts become brief, shrill, disbelieving, and sounding notes of despairing futility.

He had been in Mode 2 earlier in the week. Since Palin spoke, he's trying to rally some Mode 2, but mostly he's in Mode 3.

Does this remind you of anyone you know from film or fiction?

I'll give you a hint: Dirty Birds.

I'll give you another hint: Hobbling.

7 Let the Barry meltdown begin.  This clown has thin skin and a glass jaw, and McCain has been toying with him by small jabs that have gotten to him.  He knows he'll get pwn3d in the debates even with his enabling shillboys doing what they can to toss him softballs.  I think there's a reasonable chance that he could totally lose it on the stage during one of the debates.  Howard Dean must be soooooo proud that his endless charade of a campaign came up with this empty suit, who makes "Reporting for Doody" look like a regular guy.

Seriously folks -

These are the kind of things a Community Organizer learns to say to THE MAN.

They're the words of the downtrodden.... the weak.... daring to look up into the face of the One With The Power.

Anybody else wonder what Iran's wackjob president would say if Obama said that to him, after wackjob called America  "The Great Satan" ?

This guy is toast..... By the election, America is going to have forgotten his name - particularly with the ever-clever speaker Joe Biden to help him get burned.

16 Ace, I love this theme you've caught on to with Obama's whininess, but you're missing an awesome parallel one: one of Barack Obama's most delightfully unfortunate habits is his need to keep announcing to the world how manly, how unflappable and unfrightenable he is.  Remember this all-time greatest?

"I don't do cowering."

That's right America.  Barack Obama doesn't do cowering, so you best not be steppin'.

Let's be honest: who, other than a pussy who KNOWS he's a pussy, feels the need to compulsively assert how much of a non-pussy he is?  You think John McCain needs to tell people he's tough dude who won't take no guff?

17 I think McCain is kinda sitting back and letting the implosion work itself out.

They had her hit Obama on the surge again today, after his incredibly stupid admission on OReilly last night. Wait till OReilly gets to Ayers and Rezko and they have her work out some statements there.

People are paying attention to what she says. She's the McCain spokesman right now. They know she'll get on the 6 oclock news.

22 Obama's problem is that the PUMAS havce noticed that he's getting taken apart by a chick, and they are rubbing his supporter's noses in it.  He's trying to save face...poorly.  They're also smart enough to know that if Obama picks Hillary McCain probably doesn't pick Palin.

It's pretty obvious that McCain is intentionally doing this.  By letting Palin hit Obama, and forcing Obama to respond to Palin -- and not McCain -- they trick him into setting up an Obama/Palin dynamic.  That's an exchange that he's likely to lose on the merits regardless, but it most definitely makes him look weak in an Obama/McCain matchup.  You think John McCain gives a shit about what Joe Biden is saying?  In fact, does anyone even have any idea what Joe Biden is doing or saying right now?

From the link:

Bon Jovi and his wife, Dorothea, hosted more than 100 people for dinner on their mansion lawn by the Navesink River in Middletown, N.J. The price was $30,800 a person, to be divided between the Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

Earlier in the evening, Obama attended a $2,300-per-person reception at the nearby home of veteran party fundraiser Phil Murphy. About 200 people, including the Bon Jovis and New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine, attended.

Barack Obama: Battling special interests, hero of the common man...

34 Hello, I know there's going to be a segment on Palin titled American Women that's being aired tomorrow on fox news. I was wondering if this is the footage  that the Israel flimaker shot at Palin's home that was reported here.

Another thing, CNN brought up the fact that Palin cut spending for special needs children. Now, I tuned into PBS and some lady on the program was saying that CNN's source of that statement was taken from an internet website.

Now, The lady called some fact watch group that took 4 hours to gather up the information which stated there had been some cuts on that area, However she also mentioned something about the previous adminstration's budget records that might have distort her own spending record on this issue.

I am only mentioning this because I want to get the facts straight, so I can spread it around so the media won't discredit her record with false reports.

39 Obambi seems to have made his career out of winning easy contests. Mr. Ryan was ahead in the polls until Jeri's divorce filings were unsealed by a cooperative Chicago judge. Had Seven-of-Nine and Mr. Ryan stuck together this 1/3rd term Senator might still be scheming after power in South Chicago.

Now, whenever anyone lays wood on him, he tries to get the message suppressed instead of manfully answering. If this man-child is going to not-be-bullied, then perhaps he'd better start hitting back. Are there no issues with which Obambi disagrees with Mrs. Palin?

Has he nothing better in his resume than "community organizer?" And what sort of man thinks that's significant? Someone who's familiar with ACORN, I suppose.

Well hand me a purse and call me Sally, it is likely that there is influence from the nanny liberals.  It is still the store manager's call, but it seems the fruit cup is much more to the liking of our lib government.  (My research is ongoing and I welcome help).

I told you, first it is seat belts and helmets, then a jihad against smokers, then it is going to be food.  Left to the lib's, we'll all end up chewing down our shrubs to stop global warming by saving on electric trimmers.  "The healthy yardwork act."

I'm just a blog reading moron, so no scoop from me. Schmidt seems to know his strategy though, so I wouldn't be too surprised if he at least was semi-applying Boyd's ideas.

Months ago I was pissed off that McCain didn't press the Ayers stuff, or the Wright stuff, but after seeing the last 8 weeks unfold, it's obvious that they are executing a well thought out plan to keep Obama on the ropes.  They seem to be setting all that material to come out in the weeks ahead.  McCain's swipe at the teachers unions and school choice sets the stage for education sniping, which opens up Obama's Annenberg experience, which leads us to Ayers.  At which point, the other radical associations can start coming out without the race card being successfully played.

At least, that is how this moron sees it.

He was a community organizer...without a single noteworthy accomplishment. Obama can't point to a single example of how he improved the south side of Chicago, or any part of Chicago, or any part of Illinois, or any part of America.

Besides rising very quickly in the political ranks, Obama has nothing to show for his time as a lawyer, a community organizer, a state legislator, or a U.S. senator.

You tell me that a douchebag AAAA happy-assed lawyer is going to outfox a guy eating nothing for five years and surviving?

I wonder if Mac just likes a fight, he picked on Bush enough, he might just like fucking with Barry as I'm sure he fucked with his NVA captors.

And those NVA captors were on the side Barry is, and probably defended and supported by Barry's Mom.

Gotta love it, Mac is running against the hard left, the same fucking assholes who helped keep him in captivity for years. It's his last shot to stick it to those fucks.

Not really, Kensington. His loyalists will blame the "neo-cons" and Zionists and the moderates in their own party. Dems seem to continue to like their party's losers -- Carter, Mondale, Gore (is like a god), and Kerry, to name a few icons in good standing in the Dem party.

If Obama loses, they need to reexamine whether it's smart to keep nominating candidates who go further and further to the Left -- Gore, Kerry, Obama. If they continue that trend, Kucinich or Bernie Sanders is next in line for the Democrat nomination.

119 Maybe people could quit taking other people's lives and using them to discuss someone else, and using someone else's life to discuss your target. Call a spade a spade. Or a two of hearts, if you're bald-faced liars. You can't pick and choose to take this fact from this person, and slap that person's name on the allusion, and then bring in five non sequitors drawn from five other topics or people. It's disavowing responsibility by saying, "you can't PROVE I said that!" AKA disreputable bullshitting. I have made no attacks on Palin, let alone on McCain. I am trying to get you to understand that the practice you are getting here in sneaky, slippery language games puts you on the Democrat's ball court, where you are going to lose all your significant battles. Can't you tell that this was worked on for years by the Left? No you probably can't because being who you are, you aren't going to venture to look at popular culture's myth-making machinery. We're all pretty good-humoured about it all, as the matter is fascinating to observe as it winds its way through the media and into conversation and, yes, blogs. So, whether you are dealing with the most vile, most loathsome Nixon in recent memory or someone who is just being shown the ropes, you are at least having to come to terms with someone very different from you. Xenophobia, but understandable as there is a trillion dollar kitty at stake.

Obama and his fellow political cheaters got their asses blown off and fell back in disarray, as intended. But why do troops who are in allied forces to myself insist on charging pell-mell into the same minefield? Keep your heads down and save your ammo for the next tactical operation. Quit worrying, and fight intelligently. This blog has become a tactical nightmare because of disrespect for officers. Sort out into your units now, and pay attention to the nature of the battlefield. And don't fire in the dark. It's ignorant and invites bullets.

Yeah.  The first $2300 for each person (note that the primary and general are counted separately) can go directly to the candidate and be spent by him.  The next $28,500 goes to the national party committee and can be spent by the party, though they can coordinate with the candidate.

Posted by: Hammer at September 05, 2008 10:34 PM (QtO87)

128 Yes, but since proving we didn't steal an election is fundamentally impossible, at least in the range of certainty, I wouldn't place the argument on such proving. The better more effective strategy is to call them out on their cheating (like this Semiotics-derived mind-scam) and pay attention to who dismisses (or even more, mocks) such accusations with party-line lies or florid elaborations thereof. Stopping the cheating that I've discovered would require the FEC to set up rules for in-kind political contributions, which will be a pain in the ass for Republicans too, but in the end it all comes down to the bookkeeping, and regulated numbers don't lie. Take the fight to them, including demanding aggressively that they fess up about the use of the entertainment industry to economically support partisan organizers operating under corporate auspices.

130 I hope I don't sound like I am anti-Democrat with the above recommendation. The criticism is not with rank and file, grass-root, followers, or activists for the Democratic Party or the (catch-all phrase) Left. My beef is with the strategists and operatives who concocted this mind-scam and financed it by using the esteemed Andi Sullivan to victimize me and knock me out of the markets. Hamlet's father said, "There's no revenge like REVENGE." I speak as a Loyal-Republican and can easily see a different take on the matter from a Loyal-Democrat. If I were Loyal-Democrat in affiliation, I would be busy rebuilding and salvaging what can be salvaged after this trainwreck. I'd call for declaration of in-kind contributions, without considering touring bands to be registered as PACs. I wrote a synthesizer work in 1992 anticipating such a breakdown of the left and scoring out (in notation-code) a plan for reorganization around principles of integrity, harmonic (organizational) logic, and what can only be called "voice-leading". It even has a spiffy showbiz ending. I suppose I should lay out my stance: My primary political loyalty is to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. My secondary political loyalty is to the Loyal Party, a Lennon-Ono style conceptual party. My tertiary political loyalty is to the Republican Party.

But it's not like I'm a combat soldier-- those guys and gals accept infinitely more risk every day. They thought George Washington was tempting fate by climbing up on the siege fortifications at Yorktown in order to get a very close look at the battlefield. Kerry’s reprehensible behavior came back to bite him in the ass, and Obama’s has latched onto his like a pitbull.

As for coming in second; brace yourself sweetpea. You will.

You all are so silly instead of talking about what really matters to the american people like this darn messed up economy and people losing their jobs and houses you talking about nonsense. Palin at sh** she will  be fully vetted before long and we'll see whlat she's really made of, You are the ones scared to talk about the real issues that affect us today. Everytime you're asked a question you dance all around it because you don't have an answer. Another George Bush in the works. People can be fooled by this nonsense if they want to and we will be at war everytime a door slam because McCain is shell shocked and Palin will grab a gun, Ms. Dillinger. He's the one hiding behind Palin, his campaign wasn't about crap until he got this other liar. Cindy you better watch out, he will be leaving you for Palin next, did you see the way he was watching her but, you know he's a ladies man. Palin buy him some viagra, cuz he's gonna need, or maybe alcohol would be better and you can get that from you daughter, everytime you see her she got a bottle in her hand. Republicans kick rocks or get to the real issues. Don't throw stones if you live in a glass house.

150 I honestly can't tell if "neenee" at #146 has been rewritten for parodic effect or if it genuinely started out at that depth of stupidness.
