— Ace Sam Jackson's signed to play the super-commando in up to nine different movies.
The movies include Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America, The Avengers and at least one sequel each, PLUS the possibility of fast-tracking a S.H.I.E.L.D. movie -- which is said to already be in development.

After "The Dark Knight" all other comic book movies are unnecessary.

Did anybody else think it was kind of strange when he went off about how special a friend Kenny Chesney is during the grammys? I think him and Chesney are VERY special friends IYKWIMAITYD

President gives a big speech on Iraq, and you're talking about a comic character? Shows how off in the wilderness you are.
For the record, though, I have no problem with Sam Jackson playing Nick Fury. It's not about color, it's about attitude.

Oh, did the President give another speech? I guess the market will be tanking again, then. I wish he would just shut up once in awhile.
It was about flat until Barry spoke and afterwards it's down just over 100. It's an odd Pavlovian response to his voice.

Actually, you're talking about the comic character.
Tragically comic.

So there is still a white Nick Fury, but all the comic book buzz is on the Ultimate version, who is black.

Oh, sometimes it's pleasant just to have a diversion from The One's latest imbecility. I do hope he shuts up before the market busts through 6,000.
Jackson as Nick Fury? Naah. He's more a sidekick type; Frozone in "The Incredibles" was perfect for him.

That's because we're all aware that this is Ultimate Nick Fury and he's black. We pay attention to the important things.
Frozone was kickass.

Yes, but I always liked my war comics gritty, hence I preferred Sgt. Rock. Nick Fury was too cartoony for me.

I like Jackson's acting; he has a strong presence. I wonder if he'll ever out do his performance in Pulp Fiction; that role was great for him.

Sam Jackson has to follow the legendary actor David Hasselhoff as Nick Fury.

But I like the comic book movies a whole lot. Sure, some are better than others. When isn't that true?
I just re-watched Iron Man. Fabulous.
I might as well ask this question here... As a Watchmen virgin, where should my virginity go? Save it for the movie? Or give it away to the graphic novel?

For the love of all things holy, read the comics first. No matter how good a movie may be the comics are always better. To whom would you rather lose your virginity: your one true love on your wedding night or your drunk pervy uncle?
And, yes, I did call them comics and not "graphic novels" which is pretentious bullshit. AI'm honest about my nerditude.

During the first "Ultimates" limited series members of the Ulltimates (Ultimate version of the Avengers) were joking about which actor they would like to portray them in the movies. Nick Fury's answer: "Who else? Samuel L. Jackson."
Life imitating art.
