Anyway, one night we played dominoes and they had the TV tuned to CNN in English. Despite all the horror stories I've read on blogs, I was astonished by how much utter crap the network managed to pack into just the 45 minutes or so I heard. The main examples that come to mind: they talked about global warming as though it were a fait accompli (and apparently Greenland's glaciers are the keystone of the Earth's ecology, so keep an eye on that); and in a heartwarming homage to Teddy Roosevelt, they referred to oil companies not as "oil companies" but as "Big Oil" -- not once or twice but incessantly.

And they want me to pay 30 bucks a month for cable?

About 15 years ago I taught in Virginia.  On the LAST DAY of class, the day of the exam, a black kid, with whom I'd always had a great rapport, starting acting up.  I told him to cut it out.  He didn't; I spoke more sternly.  He then said, "You're just a racists."

I told him to get on in the hall.  I said, "How dare you?  You know I couldn't care less about your race.  I'm an attitudinist--I hate your attitude!"

Ever since then, I consider calls of "racism" almost the same as crying "wolf."  I won't discount it entirely without investigation, but the burden of proof has definitely shifted.

It was a fuckin' HATE Crime. Yes, I think it was a case of Black on White crime. You may see the story differently, but this is how I see it. It appears to me that Christian and her Boyrfriend, Newsome, were obviously driving in the *ahem* wrong part of town when they wre carjacked. I'm guessing since the suspects, seeing that they found themselves a pretty white girl decided to kidnap her, and since they didn't want to leave a witness they took her boyfriend too.

To which the awful scene unfolds from there. Both Christian and Newsome, lets remember they're white now, were both raped brutally. Both? Really? Newsome as well? Wow, I guess that the MSM wan't me to overlook the obvious gayness of that detail since they want me to overlook that it was a Black on White hate crime. Oh well, moving on.

Then she was forced to drink cleaning fluid and then suffocated in a trash can. Newsome, who in a seperate story was reported to be castrated as well, was then shot and then set on fire.

If either one of those two kids had been my son or daughter (the white victims, not the black murderous animals) then I can assuredly say that not a single one of those suspects would have ever made it to the sanctuary of a courtroom. Ever. Justice would have been swift and, as the word implies, Just.

Sorry for ranting, but this story has had me so pissed off for so so SO very long. If the MSM is going to accuse me of being a "racist" for accusing those four black suspects of a hate crime then so be it. I just hope the four of them get buried under the jail...after getting the death sentence of course.

Most news stories will try to do one of two things: Make you laugh or scare you. The best way to scare you is to over-inflate some trivial event that you personally have little or no connection to. (global warming anyone?)

Now since white folks are already a-scared of coloured folks, only occasional stories are needed to reinforce this. Coloured folks, on the other hand, are most likely to be harmed by other coloured folks, so the news needs to overstate the amount of white-on-colour crime to keep them scared (of white folks? or just scared of everything?)

Hate crimes carry legal consequences. You remind me of all the bozos who were angry at Bush for not enacting a federal hate crime legislation and citing the murder in Jasper as an example.  They ignored the fact that 3 of the 4 defendants were sentenced to death and the 4th one to life because they needed his testimony.  Like you, they refused to let facts get in the way of their victimhood.

I'm so glad I saw the story on the couple murdered in Tennesee. You see I am white but I have a half Japanese wife, a Japanese Mother-in-law, a Jewish father-in-law and a Costa Rican brother-in-law.
