— Ace And threats. Oh, the threats.
Stage one was denial.
Now we're at anger.
Did I mention: Threats?
Maybe it's a transitional thing between stage 2 and stage 3: Deal making/bargaining.
I disagree with many of his sub-points, but Russ Smith touches on an emerging storyline: the certain combination of acute anger, despair and bitterness on the left if McCain's late comeback snatches victory away from Obama in the homestretch of this incredibly long and intense campaign. The response to Kerry's defeat was muted by the fact that few liberals were especially smitten with him to begin with. But the fallout this time could be pretty raw stuff.
Plus: Dark hints that an Obama loss can only be explained by prejudice. And what implications does that have for society? Better to not find out, I'd say.
Barack Obama for President
Or else there will be "raw stuff," if you know what I'm saying, and I think you do.

He'll call for calm and reconciliation after all of the Starbucks and checkcashing stores are burned to the ground.
Now that was mostly exaggeration on my part. I don't think any violence that occurs will come from the black communities. The type of thugs that rioted in 1992 aren't exactly the type that follows politics. There will be the usual victimology and grievance politics in the black community, but that is to be expected, unfortunately.
Any violence that does occur will be limited to trust-fund red diaper babies and centered on corporate franchises.

In all seriousness, the worst part about this election is seeing how completely the philosophies of the left have infantilized its adherents. This spectacle is what small children do when they don't get their way--stamp their feet, scream, threaten violence--and to see grown-ass men and women so emotionally devolved is depressing.
This is what happens when you get so dependant on the state to make things perfect (thanks to cynical Machiavels like Obama that encourage such thinking) that you can't wipe your ass without the government providing you with a roll of toilet paper and an instruction manual.

If O'Bama loses, it will be ALL about racism. White, liberal racism. Racism that, rather than vetting a man fittingly for his intended office, has filled him with puffball nonsense and platitiudes, and sent him out on a fluffy, mystical banner of hope. Maybe (and maybe is a stretch, but still) O'Bama isn't as empty-vessel as he seems now; maybe there is some real substance. But he has been treated so lightly and easile by the guilty-conscienced that all semblance of meaty candidacy evaporated long ago.

To lorien and Topsecret; I guess in one sense it's actually good that this is all coming out in the open now--the passive-aggressiveness of the left and the media the last eight years was nothing if not maddeningly irritating--but it still is somewhat disheartening to understand that the founding fathers may have had it right when they only allowed a certain class of people to vote.

What is going to happen if Obama loses is the biggest Brain Drain this country has ever seen. I already know many colleagues and associates who have relocated to Europe where there's less prejudice against intellectuals and a more realistic societal model. It won't be the fault of the left when it happens. The know-nothing US electorate will have had two chances to make the correct decision and throw the neocon bums out. Those of us who knew better all along, who saw 9-11 not as an excuse for war but as an opportunity to show America's greatness by rising above it, who protested against the Iraq invasion while most of the country was still in the throes of Bush-worshipping wishful thinking, will only be victimized by the rest of you gullible fools for so long. This is your last chance to get it right - or you WILL be on your own.

Finally, we're supposed to vote for the candidate favored by people who are so mentally unstable that they'll fall apart if they lose three presidential elections in a row? Funny.. where is the hand-wringing about the damage done to the country by four consecutive Republican defeats by FDR? Oh that's right... WE SURVIVED. Most of the time, I'm hoping for a solid McCain victory, so I won't be anxious for the next seven weeks, but whenever I read something like this, all I want is for the election to be so close that it can't be legitimately challenged in the courts, but close enough that liberal heads will explode with conspiracy theories about election-stealing, racism, and a complicit (hah!) media. Bring on 50.5% - 49.5%!

The severity of the reaction will be inversely proportional to the closeness of the Nov. 4 outcome. My gut feeling - if it's as close as in 2004, Air America types will continue to rant and rave about stolen elections ad nauseum. If it's as close as 2000, something along the lines of the reaction to MLK's assassination.

The best thing is to provoke the liberal faggots into showing their true colors.
Much like when Al Qaeda was no longer able to kill enough US troops, that they then took to killing Iraqi civilians in markets and schools, resulting in Iraqis turning on Al-Qaeda, we must lure the hard-core liberal faggots into doing the same thing. Make them so agitated that they turn on even the moderates. Then, the same thing that happened to AQ in Iraq will happen to the faggots of the left.

Indeed. Leftists control the public schools that most blacks go to (after leftists managed to concentrate them into housing 'projects'). In these schools, blacks are taught NOTHING other than 'vote Democrat-vote Democrat-vote Democrat'. They are not taught reading, math, or anything else. Just how to go and vote Democrat.
The 10% that vote GOP are the few that figured things out agains overwhelming odds and peer pressure. That is why black conservatives appear to be so extraordinarily articulate and knowledgeable, more so than white conservatives. It is because they had to have IQs of 150 just to break free of the plantation.
Deroy Murdock, Thomas Sowell, etc. are smarter than even most white conservatives, for this reason. Clarence Thomas is actually a Gullah, and thus far blacker and in touch with African heritage than many inner city blacks.

I actually think there will not be any big riots. The brothers know Barry is a light weight. Except in the big cities, where a riot is just an excuse to loot, and the "Man" isn't putting up with that shit any more, except maybe in SF and LA.
Most Blacks are realist. They know Barry is a LOSER! So they are not going to be surprised when he loses.
In NC we heard the same shit, if Harvey Gant loses to Jesse Helms the brothers are going to burn baby burn.
Not a damn thing happen when Jesse kicked his ass. There was no looting opportunities, so there was no rioting.
It's the white liberals who are threatening riots, not the Blacks. What does that tell you?

Not like they can launch any blogs more obnoxious than they already have, or deploy any more crazed or biased network anchors. And as far as fielding any more liberal candidates... honestly, you move any further left than Obama and you get into Ralph Nader/Cynthia McKinney land.
So I'm left wondering what we have to fear from these losers. "Raw stuff"? You mean, like... nobody to man the Starbucks counter or the whole foods store? Like... the patchouli industry will collapse? Give me something... I'm dyin' here...

And if inner-city blacks were to begin rioting in the event of an Obama loss, the first thing Obama and any black elected official with the sense God gave a goat would do would be to go on TV and tell them to knock it off. The fear of an explosion in urban areas would completely kill Obama's presidential hopes and poison the atmosphere for other black Democrats for a very long time. Don't think Obama doesn't know that.
As a city-dweller, and someone who is just old enough to remember the Detroit and Watts and DC riots, I don't want a rerun, thank you very much.

I'm wondering about something:
There has been more and more talk coming from the left about racism. Racism was used during the Dem primaries, and it bled over into the beginning of the presidential race; it quit while Obama was ahead, and now it's started back up with renewed vigor (including threats of race war). A look at where this stuff is making the news is interesting; I would have thought the large urban centers would be a lock up for Obama by now, so why the rancor directed at those publics?
The polls are telling us Obama will get 95+ of the African-American vote on election day, but those are polls. I don't really trust public polls (like I've said before, so far they've been about as accurate as the local weatherman). Most of the Blacks I know haven't been all that sold on Barry, except for some college age kids -- in private conversation. Most are suspicious of his loyalty to the country, that he is a Chicago politician(in every sense of that word), and that he is an elitist who will take everyone's freedom away. They don't say anything, or act rather pro-Obama in public (which makes sense considering the grief they might get).
I wonder if the Dems inside polls are showing something concerning the African-American community that they aren't particularly happy with.

Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs at Midnight : Unfortunately, I can think of at least two cities where I have lived (Oakland and Los Angeles) where the Left has taught the populace "how to race war for fun and profit". And if we defend ourselves from that kind of savagery, they will put us on trial for defending ourselves. But hey, better Bernard Goetz than Reginald Denny.
The only silver lining I can see is that the "'Hood" professional victims appear to be fighting the "Barrio" professional victims for Most Entitled To Loot and Kill and Pillage status.

Lorien, I asked myself that very question over the last few days. He's been sounding like he's on the wrong network lately. Annoying as fuck.
Quick note on guns: My only thought on the matter is that if Obama wins, I am definitely buying a few more guns the very next day. Big shiny, pretty ones with that nice smell of new lubricant. I figure it's only a matter of time before he makes a big grab for them, so I'd rather have them in my closet than still in the store.

Now that's some funny shit right there! These recent elections seem to boil down to the proponents of the nanny state versus those who value personal independence. I do hope (but I won't hold my breath) that these morons leave. Let 'em find out the hard way that the rights of a US citizen as defined and outlined in the Constitution do not cross international borders, no matter what their wishy-washy thinking feels to be the case. It saddens me that there are so many stupid people who have the platform of the internet to whine their overly sophomoric ideas all the while thinking themselves importent, when impotent is the operative word.
