In the equation which makes up the odious, criminal and murderous Bush regime and its murderous, criminal and odious foreign policy, the constant factor is constituted by a teacher, promoted to positions way above her personal and intellectual station by a gullible fool of a President. This teacher, whose sheer incompetence as National Security Advisor and as Secretary of State is today so blatantly apparent, goes by the name of Condoleeza Rice. The fact that Rice was National Security Advisor at the time of 9/11 speaks for itself, period.
As Secretary of State, she is supposed to be responsible for her countrys diplomacy, she is supposed to be Washingtons leading diplomat. But can anyone think of a figure less qualified for the post? Starting with the face (set in a constant snarl, with a scar for a mouth, lips pursed back in a sneer, piggy eyes looking as though something evil is lunging behind them), continuing with the body language (aggressive stance, butch, defensive posture as though she is hiding something or afraid) and ending with the discourse (about as diplomatic as a raspberry and a fit of giggling at a funeral ceremony), she cuts a sorry figure.
The constant arrogance and hypocrisy of this failed female makes it that much more apparent that here is a person way out of her depth. Instead of regarding sensitive issues from a balanced viewpoint as she is supposed to do, this incompetent loud-mouthed, bad-mannered, bullshit-mongering bimbo takes one side, ignores the other and then speaks down from a holier-than-thou platform as if she were on a lecture dias.
This is not a classroom, Condoleeza Rice, and you are not a diplomat. You are a liar, a cheap, shallow, failed, wannabe actress on the diplomatic stage. This is the real world and out here, you have to be prepared to face up to your responsibilities.
Oh, I'm sorry, that wasn't Keith Olbermann, that was Pravda.
The difference? Pravda doesn't say "Sir," as "Sir" reinforces class distinctions.
There's not a bit of that whole blame America/blame Georgia schpiel that wasn't previewed in Russia's AAA franchise, the American leftist press.
Isn't it a terribly odd thing that the American left always winds up coincidentally lining up cheek-by-jowl with their Russian friends?
Their ultra right-wing nationalist Russian friends like Vladimir Putin, I should say.

God you guys! Wake up! Apparantly all you got out of that article was him putting down Condolizza Rice? Are you that "party" affiliated that you failed to glean that the Georgian's massacred 2000 people! Out of that 2000 people, 700 were children! God, maybe if you stopped watching the news and maybe had one clue that the Russians may have been protecting people that were being systematically slaughtered you would be able to read more that the insults hurled at someone hell bent on keeping the American people from knowing the truth about what happened. As a patriot, I am telling you, the USA are not the good guys anymore.
Go back and read the article again, without the blinders on this time.

Who can tell. I've seen them play up the propaganda on other websites where the snark is in much less usage. So someone actually believing the Russian story will sound just like someone trying to be over the top and mocking. Remember, never trust what any government tells you, unless they are going against a Republican Whitehouse, then their word is the gospel truth.

Ace,
maybe we haven't been the good guys for a long time. Excuse me for just waking up from my Wii and CNN and Fox induced fog. I was online when it happened so I sort of felt like I was there. (the same way I was online when the House decided to stay and fight. I felt like I was a part of it) So I heard the other side being attacked before Russia stepped in. There was close to 26 hours of attack from Georgia before Russia came into the picture. Maybe you dont believe that there is a NWO agenda. Fine, believe what you want. But we shouldn't even be over there according to the Constitution. Georgia is democratic and an ally?! Please. I know Russia and Putin have been the bad guys in the past, but this in different. Come on Ace. Even you know that the main stream media are liars, someone has to be telling the truth somewhere.

wow. those are not my words, nor who I am. In fact I am definately not an america-hater. I dont even have a position. The fact that Rice was National Security Advisor at the time of 9/11 speaks for itself, period.
As Secretary of State,
Whoever wrote what, doesn't understand the the linguistic importance of either "speaks for itself," or what a "period," is.
You KNOW! you are a demagogic piece of shit, when I am pointing out how stupid these very lines are, when taken in context.
If "Res Ipsa Loquitur" then you can bet your ass Res Ipsa Loquitur, unless you are a fucking moron and don't realize that a thing can speak for itself.
as for "Period," then you are "It is used to end a sentence. You should not use a period for anything other than ending a sentence."
Now, that period did end a sentence, but linguisticaly it is actualy used to end not just a sentence, but a discussion.
So whoever the author of this idiotic diatribe is, used the expressive word "period" to end a discussion, not a sentence, THEN! continued the discussion, but since all discussion was closed thanks to the previously used "speaks for itself," wasn't just redundant, it was disingenuous, and a rhetorical attempt at propaganda.
I suck at grammar, and spelling, cuz I'm lazy, but blatant hipocracy flashes in front of my eyes, like the neon sign outside my favorite strip club, I just can't ignore it.

A Russian advertising executive who sued her boss for sexual harassment lost her case after a judge ruled that employers were obliged to make passes at female staff to ensure the survival of the human race. A 22-year-old Russian woman recently sued her 47-year-old boss for sexual harassment after her refusal to have sex with him allegedly got her locked out of the office. The Telegraph reports that she told the court: "He always demanded that female workers signalled to him with their eyes that they desperately wanted to be laid on the boardroom table as soon as he gave the word. I didn't realise at first that he wasn't speaking metaphorically." Charming. Her suit, however, was tossed out -- but not for lack of evidence. The judge simply decreed: "If we had no sexual harassment we would have no children."

The following was written by Auberon Waugh, son of Evelyn Waugh:
"The essential clue to Russian literature, as indeed to the mysterious Russian character, is that all Russians are shits. They know they are shits, that their whole repulsive society is based on a succession of lies which nobody really believes. The only proof that they are not, as Hitler believed, morally sub-human, is to be found in their occasional propensity to despair and suicide."

Boy, wendy, it sure was lucky that the Russians had all of those troops all ready for a pre-planned invasion at the same time that the Georgians began bombing innocent, South Ossetian civilians in an act of genocide. Those Georgians have even been planting news stories going back to last May, at least, about how the Russians were preparing to invade Georgia.
Posted by: andycanuck at August 19, 2008 08:00 PM (qKkaY)
Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong, but ...
Isn't it incorrect to say that Georgia invaded South Ossetia? I was under the impression that South Ossetia was officially recognized as an integral part of the sovereign country of Georgia, albeit a part that's in revolt.. Am I wrong about that? And given that South Ossetia is in a state of armed revolt against the lawful government of Georgia (which, ipso facto, is South Ossetia's government), then then Georgia's actions in South Ossetia do not constitute an invasion: you can't invade your own country, your own sovereign territory. The Georgian military was undertaking to suppress an illegal revolt within their own country--which seems to me to be a perfectly legitimate enterprise, and recognized as such by the law of nations. On the other hand, prior to the Russian invasion invasion of Georgia, Russia had troops stationed in South Ossetia, Abkhezia (also officially part of Georgia), and in Georgia proper. Were these Russian troops their legally? Did they any sort of legal mandate to be in Georgia? Did the Georgians want them there? Or did the Georgians suffer the presence of Russian troops because they could not force them out?
Again: correct me if I'm wrong.

Crying wolf... The world is on edge these days. The Iranian president acted like some major apocalyptic terrorist act was going to take place on August 22nd. Nothing happened. Then everyone was waiting to see if anything was going to happen on August 31st, the deadline the UN gave Iran to stop the enrichment. Nope, nothing happened then either. Meanwhile, as nothing happens, the US government has granted a visa to the former Iranian president to come to Washington DC of all places to give a little speech on peace. Um...yeah, is that really such a good idea? Wouldn't that be the best terrorist attack idea ever, if the former Iranian president got the hero's welcome, and at the hero's banquet he blew up himself and several top US officials at the same time? In fact, didnt some terrorists act all buddy-buddy in order to assasinate that Moussad guy? And let's not forget that former president Khatami has only been the former prez since 2005! Not that friggen long ago. Would it be culturely offensive to sniff him for explosives before his speech? I'll bet we are paying his way over here, AND probably paying him for his widdo talk on how we can all play nice together. Hhmmmmm....I wonder if anything will happen on Sept 5 or 6?

Bush deserves to rebut "a gullible fool of a President" though he never should have been such a damned gullible "Nice Guy" with the serpent Putin.
Moral of the story: never trust one's foe, and never presume to read the best of intentions as anything good in the eyes of a communist.
Vote the DNC into the minority party, as they are the totalitarian party in America now. Vote conservative GOP individuals to band together for the preservation of our Constitution, the target of both parties' gluttons as the "compassionate" = the progressive = Marxist totalitarian revision into Amerika.
This year's election results from around the world matter. Our European allies have already moved towards conservatism. For us in America, we must regain our senses and our domestic security via oil production NOW. The democrats have no legitimacy having strangled our own production and our own defense, security and well being. Retaining the national emergency oil reserve for our military is of utmost importance, now more than ever. Drilling in more places is paramount, as is establishing the modern and secure nuclear energy system at home. Those foreign oil producers that America imports its oil from DO NOT CONFORM TO THE DNC REGULATIONS on the industry; hence strangling American industry and denying American's is totally hypocritical.
OIL, the entity the Russians want total monopoly in their sphere of the world that encompasses South America as well as Eurasia, is indeed the reason for the Georgian invasion. Indeed, is it not true that the oil rich war torn area of Georgia was designated Georgian during the USSR era? At American Thinker, there's a blog article denoting that Georgia isn't worth American intervention vs. Russia.

I see a lot of posters on here claim day after day that they mistrust the news and their sources. Yet, they seem to have no problem believing the 'facts' those agencies put out.
I believe most of the European and other non-US news agencies and outlets reported that Georgia started the affair - not that Russia attacked Georgia as we reported here in the West.
Why is that simply questioning the motives in actions of a sitting president or that administration makes one unpatriotic? What if it was Clinton ordering airstrikes in Kosovo? Would all on here be questioning him or going along with it?
I think Roosevelt said it best: "To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."

wendy,
Last I checked, South Ossetia is part of Georgia. They wanted it back. Ironically, the Soviets Russians are doing exactly what you accuse the Georgians of doing. The Russians are now in full propaganda mode, fabricating stories of Georgian "ethnic cleansing" when the Russians have been slaughtering everyone in sight. Russia isn't as angered by Georgia's invasion of South Ossetia, as it is over the fact that Saakashvili is seeking NATO membership. This is simply Putin's tactic of punishing former Russian territories for asserting independence.
Posted by: sfcmac at August 20, 2008 07:02 AM (l6WGj)
Why is that simply questioning the motives in actions of a sitting president or that administration makes one unpatriotic?
You would be right if that's all she did. It's not.
She has uncritically swallowed the propaganda of a hostile nation. Her first comment mentioned 2,000 dead at the hands of Georgia in South Ossetia. That number appears to be way off and was provided by the Russians. The Moscow Times said that "Some human rights activists on the ground said, however, that they were struggling to find even 100 slain Ossetians, while other experts said it remained too early to compile an accurate count. In any case, it is looking increasingly unlikely that the death toll will be anywhere close to the numbers needed to support Moscow's claim that Tbilisi had committed genocide." The LA Times found that the hospital in Tshkinvali had recorded about 40 dead as of their report two days ago.
Wendy also uncritically cited the op-ed today from Foreign Minister Larov as proof of her position. Larov fails to mention that Russia had been actively agitating South Ossetian leaders for about the past 15 years, giving them weapons among other things. Russia had also been issuing Russian passports to the South Ossetians, then claimed they were there to protect Russian. He also doesn't mention that Russian troops pushed nearly to the Georgian capital and struck civilian targets in several Georgian cities.
She was not simply questioning President Bush's motives. She was operating from a position of extreme ignorance and enver bothered to assume that a country run by a totalitarian might act in a totalitarian fashion.

I am just trying to argue that I don't think that the issue between Georgia and Russia have been fairly summed here. Wendy pointed that out (among other things) and was blasted for it and labeled a c-sucker.
"Extreme ignorance"? Hardly what I would call being aware that there are other sources of information and offering them as proofs to your theories. Again, I would point out that all the information provided here by other posters as proof of their positions come from the very media they criticize as being incompetent at best and biased at worse.

Being aware is one thing, offering state controlled media reports from a totalitarian country as proof is something else.

I saved this quotation b/c I liked it so much:
"MoveOn isn't new - it's just Pravda with poor punctuation."

Moveon or Olbermann did not write this Rice article, but I wonder if they would condemn it completely. Isn't that racist?Posted by: Michael K. at August 20, 2008 09:06 AM (H6VxR)
I'm surprised no one raelly jumped on wendy's claim of 2000 dead South Ossetian civilians? The Moscow Times reported that "human rights activists on the ground said, however, that they were struggling to find even 100 slain Ossetians".
The hospital in Tshkinvali has only 40 confirmed deaths as of the LA Times' August 18th report.
The Russian number is, as you'd expect, purest weapons-grade BS.

This move by the Russians was not in response to Georgian aggression. The Georgian agression was merely a pretext. Looks like this was in the works for a while:

It would be nearly impossible for even the US military to project the kind of force the Russians did, in th etime they did (a few hours) starting from "go". The answer is that this move had been planned for quite a while. Now, the question is: why were we so suprised? That is a question that must get answered.

So the Russian government controls the free press of Britain now? You know how silly that sounds? You think the news coming out of the Caucusus region is completely filtered through the Russians? Are you even cognizant of how silly you sound?

"Being aware" of other sources of information is not the same as being aware of what those sources are (parties with conflicts of interest, perhaps?) and actually consulting them. Wendy seems aware enough of other sources, she just doesn't seem to question them in any sort of critical manner.

I would argue that them bombing civilian targets is similar to what many armchair generals here in the US argued we should have done in Iraq. Tactics are subjective depending on who is contemplating them.
I am not saying what they did was right. However, I am saying that wading in half-informed is not right either.

You do realize that this isn't the only Georgian thread on this site?
I'm having a hard time grokking what you're arguing here. Is it your position that the Russian media is presenting true facts on the conflict?
Posted by: toby hussein 928 at August 20, 2008 09:58 AM (evdj2)
Jazz -- You think that our press here has no bias in this? I ask that because you are making my point. The information stated in these posts are coming from our MSM as it's oft referred to as on here.

It's too bad their team's Super Bowl odds are pretty much non-existent, because Arrowhead is one of the craziest stadiums in the league. It's been open since 1972,Manning Jersey and it used to be a fortress for the Chiefs, and it also hosts the "Border War" between the football teams of Kansas and Missouri.
It's basically only tough to play against the fans, Peyton Manning Jersey since the team is in a rebuilding phase, but with a smart GM in Scott Pioli and a rabid fanbase, the Chiefs' online betting odds could be back sooner Peyton Manning Shop than you think. So, where are the toughest and craziest places to play in the NFL? Here go our picks.
