The guys delivery sucks, but that message should, if spread properly, play well in his state, OH, IA, and other economically struggling states.

Thats assuming, of course, that the voters arent all complete morons

TMF was speaking Democrat!

Let me translate:

5 Only the Democrats could be for and against something (or, someone) at the same time. They call it flexibility or flip-flopping, but I call them serpentine....

Like about S-CHIP, he says "as a former kid myself...."

Mookie appears to be spreading his tentacles into Afghanistan:

"Militants ambushed troops patrolling in the mountains of eastern Afghanistan, prompting a gunbattle and airstrikes that left about 55 militants dead, the U.S.-led coalition said Monday. "

14 A friend of mine worked for Thad when he was in the Michigan legislature.  He has a rather well-developed sense of humore - kind of Blackadderish.

18 Really good. He could stand to make his delivery more interesting, though. He drones on like a high school history teacher.

Nevertheless, if all the republicans in congress were like him, we'd be looking at majority status this November.

Posted by: Log Cabin at June 23, 2008 06:15 AM (j7zrD)

19 He sounds vaguely like the History professor played by Ben Stein in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", but other than that, I was shocked that he didn't get catcalls from the gallery.

22 Ohhh... hate speech.  Hope he's prepared for the re-education camps come 2009.

Because I don't think I am.  So when Obama deputizes the Kos Kidz and DUers to round us up, I'm going to be completely helpless.

23 they've got Versace doing a fashion show and Obama with his own presidential seal. we've got a laconic bald guy with a stack of placards. God help us.

24 Good for McCotter. It would have helped if he used smaller words, crayons, and hearts dotting the "I"'s to educate the liberal audience, but the good Representative is doing the right thing by not lowering the bar too far. Insults turn moderate voters off.

26 "Bueller...?  Bueller....?"

I think the guys' delivery was appropriately deadpan.  Added to the effect.

The complete silence from the Dems speaks volumes!  I kept waiting for loud boos and heckling from the Democrats, but I guess there's no point in them denying it.

Posted by: Redhead Infidel at June 23, 2008 07:46 AM (M2upF)

27

Thaddeus, you magnificent bastard! You read their book! LOL

Point made. Point taken. He did a good Ben Stein model from economics class humor on 'the floor'. As his intended audience was not comprised of juveniles by age, the ruler/poster worked via déjà vu.

Welcome back, McCotter!

Somebody had to.

they've got Versace doing a fashion show and Obama with his own presidential seal.

Translation:  they've gotta a bunch of castrated house boys trying to pleasure botulin-infested, siliconed freaks whose presidential candidate is just as fake.

McCotter simply points out the oppostion's problem.

I liked his deadpan delivery. He had me at Change = the 1970's.

31

This guy is my congressman, and really, he talks a good game but he is more center then right.

His voting lately has been, "lets screw Michigan and the Automotive Industry" and voting with the dumocrats.

Posted by: Quality Weenie at June 23, 2008 08:44 AM (grH7t)

32 Here is my question, what was the Democrats response to this? anyone know where I can find that video??

33 I liked his deadpan delivery. He had me at Change = the 1970's.

I liked the 70s. Groovy disco, chicks with big hair and shiny outfits, free love... what's not to like?

34 The domestic auto industry won't recover in MI unless it becomes a right-to-work state.  Don't hold your breath.

McCotter's line about "green collar jobs" = "unemployment" was awesome.

36 While I agree with everything this guy says right down to the last, I can't help but wonder wtf this is doing on the House floor.  IMO this shit looks weak during session.

Sorry to get all Allah on the post but it just rubs me the wrong way.

Posted by: tachyonshuggy at June 23, 2008 09:47 AM (JBuzy)

37 Im reasonably sure he did this in his moms basement to an audience of none, ala Rupert Pupkin

He forgot the most important one:

Redeployment = withdrawal

Redeployment = surrender

I can't watch the video but I'd bet it's during member rant hour, after the session's actually over for the day. That crazy friggin' Ohio Democrat used to go apeshit on C-Span but there was nobody around to hear him.

What was that dude's name? He's in prison now, right?

Posted by: spongeworthy at June 23, 2008 11:52 AM (a00go)

41 I'd buy that for a dollar.

You refer to James Traficant I believe - the dead bunny hairpiece and 'beam me up Scotty' era.

43 "I can't help but wonder wtf this is doing on the House floor." On the House floor = automatic coverage on C-Span. On the campaign = coverage provided at the whim of the MSM = no coverage at all.

44 I think we found our VP. But alas, this man probably wouldn't want to be seen in the same room as Mavloser.

45

This was one of the most shocking things I've ever seen- way better than the Hobosexual website.  Totally linked.

#1: Where can I find more of this guy?  Does he have a DVD boxed set out yet?

#2: Where can I go to give him some money?  He's gonna need it.

#3:  Has he ever been seen in the same room as Steven Wright?

Best Wishes,

A. Truman North

46 RobG (17), while I agree with your assessment, your one-word misspelled response is so infused with irony that, if it were intentional, it would be sheer genius. ;-)

So, is GWB a Democrat?  He fits all of the traits?   Did the Republicans get duped into supporting him?  Did they support him because he (GWB) called himself a Republican?

So, if Obama called himself a Republican, would the Republicans support him?

What's with stereotyping by politcal affliation anyway?  Is this a partisan thing or what?  The Republicans do it. The Democrats do it.  Personally, I think global warming is caused by all of the hot air that emanates from politico fanatics on both sides.

No wonder independents are the fastest growing sector in the nation. This noise from both sides is really annoying.
