— Ace Karol's pimping the repeats. I thought we were better this time, she thought we weren't. Ah, well.
Next week we have Herman Cain, former Republican candidate for Senate and author of They Think You're Stupid: Why Democrats Lost Your Vote and What Republicans Must Do to Keep It, and Charles Johnson, better known as Mr. Little Green Footballs.
After that we plan on changing the format a bit. We'll only have one guest, and we'll spend the last fifteen minutes talking about the news ourselves and taking calls (if anyone bothers to call). We also might bring in guest-bloggers to comment on the news with us (not formal interviews; just another guy offering his take).
Hopefully we'll be able to work in a little more humor into that last segment.

BTW, I highly, highly recommend people tune in to Herman Cain, especially if you've never heard of him. I've worked for a lot of candidates in several states and have never met anyone like Herman (I was Deputy Press Sec. on his campaign). The campaign manager had to yell at us and remind us that we were working at his stump speech stops and that we couldn't stand there with our mouths hanging open listening to him. He's really amazing. Don't miss it.
I'm also really looking forward to Charles Johnson. He should be great.

Now to contradict myself, I agree with ace in that I thought the show went well. I have heard a number of radio biggies when they were first starting out and you can't believe how long it took them to get it running smoothly. Granted, they were on for more hours and more days, but still, that cuts both ways in that the more experience the better you become. Hugh Hewitt was a real geek when I first saw/heard him on local pbs. Because he was the token conservative, they always made him go last, and he talked so fast, what should have filled a couple of minutes was over in 15 seconds.
Ace, are you saying the reason you took no calls last Thurs. was because no one called? Huh. My only criticism of last weeks show was too much time was taken up with the old memogate story.

You mean like the old 60 Minutes/SNL skit where you can say, "Bill/JeffG. you ignorant sluts . . . "? Cool! Maybe Karol can mudwrestle the other big L, little B (brain), Michele. Now that's entertainment!
And to smash all competition, how about interviewing allah? Ask him what is really in his pants that is so damn funny. tia

The format change is a good idea. I think you'll get more listener interaction. Also, seeing as the blogosphere itself is one of Ace's interests, having people on like Powerline and LGF is a good entry to talking specifically about the impacts and directions for your shadow media. You should have Cal on at some point, I'm sure she'd have lots to say.
