Shock: Eurorg Rates US Near The Bottom of "Most Peaceful Nations:" says we're just barely ahead of Russia and Iran (and Iraq!) in terms of peacefulness.

And barely ahead even of the Jews.

I'm starting my own organization to rate nations in terms of "Complete and Total Faggiosity." I'll be sending my results to AP mucho pronto, which is the new official American way to say "rapido."

Huh? That doesn't seem to be what the article says:

I think they're saying that the Joos are the #3 most warlike country, the Russkies are #2, and our Iraqi puppets are #1.

12 Saying the US is not peaceful is like saying guns kill people. Both may be true. But both statements definitely ignore all the peace that having the US or a gun around brings.

Taiwan is peaceful because the US says so. Western Europe was kept peaceful for 50 years under the threat of a Soviet Empire bent on expansion because of the US. Et fucking cetera.

21 Depending on their basis I can see why the US would rank low on the "peacability" scale for some. We fight back. We go face evil and deal with it instead of playing merchant's games and trying to avoid conflict by payoffs and promises. While Europe, for example, can avoid battles by having the US fight them instead, the US has no such luxury.
