Happy Independence Day [dri]
— Open Blog

Brought to you by Valu-Rite Vodka." Valu-Rite, the vodka when you're having more than one... liter".

UPDATE: [Dave in Texas]: Pretty awesome display of 8000 bottle rockets in action. (starts a little slow, you can move it to 2min past the drunk fireworks technician).

4 Sam Eagle for Prez! Best brow furrower in the free world. Hell, world, period.

5 Crazy Harry always was my favorite Muppet. I was disappointed when I did demo school and realized we didn't use the old push-handle hellbox detonators anymore.

6 STATLER: Boo!
WALDORF: Boooo!
S: That was the worst thing I’ve ever heard!
W: It was terrible!
S: Horrendous!
W: Well it wasn’t that bad.
S: Oh, yeah?
W: Well, there were parts of it I liked!
S: Well, I liked a lot of it.
W: Yeah, it was GOOD actually.
S: It was great!
W: It was wonderful!
S: Yeah, bravo!
W: More!
S: More!

If we're buying Val-U-Rite by the liter, then the British have already won.

Gallons.  I'm just saying.

This has nothing to do with the current post, but the election season has got me down and longing for better days, so I started looking through the archives for AoS HQ's coverage of the triumphant '04 election. Good times.  Anyway, I think if you check out the Nov 3, 2004, 6:34 AM post entitled "Victory Rally,"(page 13 of the Nov. '04 archives)  you'll see that the Intertube demons have turned on Ace.  Or it could just be a stunning confession.  Hard to tell.

11 it is okay as long as it by the "liter", when it is by the "litre" then the olde ball game is ovre.

16 I would vote for Sam The Eagle.  It's not like he's a worse choice.

17 Doug- I just went there to see. It's what happens when someone hotlinks images. The owner found out and changed the image.

Hear, hear. You and me both. I'd make a better choice, but I'm generally pretty thin-skinned and don't want the aggravation of all those distractions.

So, where is the Conservative Libertarian nominating committee hiding? I think we have a candidate.

24 Harrison-I realize it happened because he was hotlinking, but thought "Intertube demons" was a little funnier.  I guess next time I'll have to turn the sarcasm up to 11.
