Happy for anyone who bought today - DJIA is +462 with 15 minutes to go. I'd say the market recovered, ooh, about $700 billion worth of value today.
Come on, smile.

I'm happy that you're happy. No, you can't have any of it.
MY money. MINE.

Don't worry- it'll drop again once Paulson opens his stupid mouth to tell everyone that we're doomed to eternal ruin if he doesn't get his way.
Call me an asshole all you wish - I honestly fuckin hope so!

Yeah. Fire Paulson. Impeach him if need be.

I was raised Cathaholic - but I married a Jew. She's the mother of my Jewish children. She's the daughter and neice and cousin of my Jewish in-laws.
OMG, I'm surrounded by Jews. And I love each and every one of them.

Pretty much the whole financial sector is still way down.
Theres some real money to be made there over the next year or two.
Unless you think the whole of the banking industry is going bankrupt (pshhh!) they can only go up longterm. Or there will only be small banks after the big ones go belly up... In which case, invest in small banks instead.

And while we're on the subject, if credit is so goddamn awful tight, why are the rates on loans still so low, and the returns on money markets still so low?

Psst. CPBK. (truth in touting, its partially my family's bank) I can't remember the last time they missed a quarterly dividend and its last trade was at 9.56. Stock up.

And why did I see approximately 30 advertisements for getting credit from leaving work yesterday through this morning, on NBC, CNBC, Comedy Central, CBS, ESPN, and Fox News?
Is a puzzlement, I say.

I'm still getting Country Wide offers, so take advertising with a grain of salt.

Has anyone else noticed the nice, generic-looking, non-offending races of the women on the card?
And here I'd been quietly thinking to myself they looked just like Michelle Obama and Angela Davis sitting down to a nice little informal tete-e-tete. I just didn't want anyone to think I was like, divisive or PI or anything by actually commenting. But maybe I really am a right-wing small-town hick redneck clinger Christer [RWSTHRCC].

Their top seller is "I'm excited to see Sarah Palin's last chance to speak on TV before she's potentially dropped from the ticket."
Look, the reason liberal humor fails is because the basis of it is all garbage. A joke whose punchline hinges on the belief that the sky is green isn't funny.
