Halfwit Brownback's Yea-No-Now-Nay Explanation Evolves Anew

And this guy says he's not sure if he belives in evolution. We seem to be witnessing random mutations here on a daily basis.

Now he's claiming he decided to switch his vote to a "Nay" on closure because, after seeing it was thoroughly defeated, it occurred to him at that moment, and at no other prior moment, "the country is just not ready" for amnesty without security yet.

He had this epiphany based on his fellow Senators' voting it down. And not, you know, on thousands of Americans calling him to tell him that over the past few weeks.

2 Actually, Brownback was a pretty damn good conservative until, what, last year? His head must have swelled as he contemplated running for Pres, though -- partition!? amnesty!? The usual political class nonsense.

from a building boom in which Panama City Beach's spring break motels
are being torn down and replaced with high-rise condos.

Enforcement of the laws by local officials is causing the illegal immigrants to leave town.....how terrible. Well, there goes our economy.

7 Brownback's earlier explanation might have made some sense if he had voted the other way around -- against cloture until it failed and then switched his vote to "yes" in a symbolic gesture of support for whatever lame ass parts he supported.

8 If I were in Brownback's district, I would fill out a symbolic ballot for him, say on a cocktail napkin, before I filled out the real ballot against him.

I'm in Switchback's district (which is the entire state, of course, him being a Senator). His last election the Dems ran a far-left DC lobbyist against him, someone who made Kerry look like a moderate. And Switchback swore he wouldn't run for a third time, so he's out in 2010. We won't get to vote against him if he keeps his word, except maybe in next year's Prez primary.

The last time a Dem won a US Senate seat here was 1932.
