— Ace You know that Massachusetts legislator who explained how he'd interrogate child-rape victims into psychological trauma if the state passed a minimum-sentence law?
CNN actually covers it.
Guess what? They can't find out what party he belongs to. They can only verify that he is a "legislator" of some sort.
That's from Dave @ Garfield Ridge, so you know it's fresh.

I don't think it matters anymore, though. There are assholes on both sides of the aisle. this guy, while obviously a democrat, to society need only represent the 'criminal rights before common sense' ideal.

Dave at Garfield Ridge ? Great.
Now I've the urge to read something about vertical throw-weight. and a flinty-eyed take on airquote romance airquote and, possibly, how BSG's Grace Park's yabbos look in real life.
but will I be able to read such things? Noooooooooooooooooooooooo
because Dave had to go and get himself a life.
bastard.
grumble.

Talk about your spin

Fagan said he fielded hundreds of hate calls Wednesday.
The thing Im most troubled by is that speech was not intended to reflect my own personal thoughts or beliefs, Fagan said.
The lawmaker said he never meant to insult anyone.
It was intended to illustrate the unintended harm that could come to victims, he said.
Locally, many have blasted Fagans remarks from the House debate.
He is an embarrassment, said Eugene McCaffrey of Taunton. Its absolutely disgusting to even consider doing that to a child
The man should resign.
Even one of Fagans distant relatives, Paulette Hurley of Raynham, said she was absolutely shocked.
Ive known Jim all my life, and Im just stunned he could come out with comments like that, the former Taunton resident said. The people of Taunton deserve better representation than that.

Not only did they not mention his party, his name super only identified him as a Massachusets legislator.
Meanwhile, the first CNN video of Larry Craig that I searched for included a lower third super that identified him as a Republican.
Of course, this can't be intentional as everyone knows that the media is actually right wing.

Bastard.
Had Jessica survived the traumatic event, she would have been just another accuser to scum such as he.
And people wonder why rape victims are so hesitant to report the crime.
Jessica's father has performed admirably in his efforts at maintaining restraint throughout.

CNN can not deride McCain for being internet ignorant, as CNN suffers the same handicap.

At least they didn't do that crap where they call all fucked up democrats "(Rep) Smith" to abbreviate representative but imply republican.
The other one thats pretty clever is that they use a picture of this jerk standing next to someone else so the picture caption has his name with an R next to it. Then somewhere below the picture in font size 8 they note that the R indicates the jerk is the person on the right...
