Ace, there is a new post at Discriminations that links a job ad from Purdue U. It is real and really funny. I hope you can drop by there and check it out. It might make for some good commentary.

Evil = Republicans, Conservatives, Americans in red states, corporations not dealing with search engines or entertainment
Google was an underdog company 10 years ago as an alternative to Yahoo. Time for a new underdog

I despise Google, and I think their "Don't be evil" corporate motto is nothing but an uber creepy Orwellian joke. They help Ahmadenijad in Iran and the Chinese and North Korean Communists surpress free speech and historical records (news archives, etc.) and they help governments spy on and control their citizens. They are conduct data mining in the US and are trying to find ways to get even more information and control over people here (e.g., their attempt to conglomerate all medical records on their servers). They filter new feeds and search results based on political bias.
They freak me out. They make paranoid people seem sane, or at least justified.
Fight the power!

Google sux ass. When we take over in 2010, it'll be time for a nice anal-probe style audit.
O/T
GI Joe: The Rise of COBRA trailer Hopefully good cheesy fun.

Now I wish there were real competitors in this field, but there isn't. I hope Google is a benevolent Master for us when they take over...
