— Ace Otherwise, how to explain "his" claim that citing the pro-assassination comments at the Huffington Post is a "transparent" and "flimsy" smear tactic, when Glenn Greenwald has quite the career of engaging in the same "transparent" and "flimsy" smears?
Obviously, that damned Magic Boyfriend is causing problems for him again. Plainly, no sane person could hold such wildly contradictory thoughts simultaneously.
When will Gleen finally enable that password-protection feature on his computer?
Just Curious: As Gleen claims it's the Magic Boyfriend posting on his behalf at least some of the time, how do we know his blog's "meteoric rise" is actually due to his own efforts?
How can we be sure those famous passages read (on the Senate floor!) by Russ Feingold weren't in fact written by the Magic Boyfriend?
How does Andrew Sullivan know if he should be crawling up Gleen's ass, or the Magic Boyfriend's? Perhaps it really doesn't matter. It's all good.
Another Book Deal For Gleen... an autobiography, it seems, likely to be ghost written by Thomas Ellers.
Wait-- can someone else write your autobiography?

Sure that's the only explanation for such a symptom ?
After all the last thing I read by Greenwald was a recounting of how absurd it was for right-wing bloggers like Glenn Reynolds and Jeff Goldstein to be arguing that the US has been at war with Iran since the 1970s and that Reagan wasn't committing treason by supplying them with arms during the same period.
A sign both of them are as gay as a picnic basket no doubt.

They've now apparently put google-dot-com into the spam filter for comments. Google. You know, the most useful website on the internet, most frequently linked in comments that never spams. That one.
If you think about it you could probably only display less competence or internet savvy in managing such a filter if you banned your own domain. Or the word "the". So unless that's expected at some point (and let's not rule it out) this will be the pinnacle of their retardidity.
Please, show some appreciation, lest this peerless achievement in blog administration go unnoticed.

Stank, does the name "Lawrence Walsh" mean anything to you?
Posted by: zetetic at February 28, 2007 03:14 AM (WCr1X)
LMAO.
I love the content of this site, but the administration is maddening. You never know if a comment is going to post or not and if it doesn't you have to guess what the particular problem is that time. Maybe I am using the word "the" too much. Or maybe it's vowels that are causing the problem. I am sure pixy mesa and whatever other adminstrators are involved are doing their best but sometimes it's damn frustrating.

The important question is how does Ace know that crawling up either ass really is good? ;p

None of this filtering would be necessary if a simple word verification was in place. You can even jus add another form field like the email and url ones and require posters to enter a single letter in it every post. Spam gone. zero effort. zero hassle.

It's not like he breaks any stories himself or his commentary on other's reporting is of any merit compared to other bloggers. I don't know if he actually gets published in Time mag (certiainly not the version I get) but he would appear to be entirely unworthy of almost any mention, let alone the level of attention he receives here.

In the Iran initiative, President Reagan chose to proceed in the utmost secrecy, disregarding the Administration's public policy prohibiting arms sales to nations supporting terrorism.
...and along with the rest of the findings of his authorising and complicity of these sales of weapons to Iran as the reason you couldn't spell that out yourself.

Reagan and Bush both claimed to have been uninformed about the details of the affair, and no evidence was found to link them to any crime.
Emphasis added.

If not then I have totally missed the subject in this post.

More tragic legislation from the bench:
Bay County Circuit Judge Joseph K. Sheeran ruled Friday that even though Michigan law does not explicitly define sex with a dead dog as a crime, charges against a Saginaw man will stand.
Make your own screwed-the-pooch joke. No word on how it applies to deer.

A dumb move, to be sure, because it constituted negotiating with and making concessions to terrorist supporters in the hopes of getting hostages back. But a few drops of piss in a rainstorm in the grand scheme of things, and nobody except deranged Reagan-haters has ever seriously called it treasonous.

Your best bet is to head into the belly of the beast. Pass the colonic flexure, jaunt through the jejunum, dance with the duodenum and sprint your way up to the trachea and make a run for it. Glenn's gag reflex undoubtedly is a state of constant relaxation so jump towards the light. God speed friend!

As should be understood by anyone who's even passingly familiar with the ways of the weblog--much less a famous blogger himself**--there are crucial differences between bloggers and their commenters. You see, the former create a body of work, in varying degrees of coherence, from which it is not only valid, but essential, to draw conclusions about the particular writer’s ideas and beliefs, and about how their notions relate to those of other such writers--who, indeed, frequently self-identify as being of a kind. The latter, on the other hand, fling poo.
Therefore, Greenwald’s rich history of calmly laying waste to one rightwing blog post after another does lend itself--quite well, in fact--to drawing conclusions about those bloggers and the freakish ideology they co-ordinate to promote. By contrast, the wingersphere’s predictable, titty-baby chorus--presuming to prove anything with a few stray blog comments--well, referring to it as "transparent" and "flimsy" is, really, to make too much of it.
Now don’t touch that dial, folks, because after the break, we’re going to try to walk Ace through the distinction between state secrets and Victoria Secrets.
Oh, and Ace: given your fixation on Greenwald’s boyfriend—and in light of your recent hand-wringing over hot young women—you might want to do something with that paragraph heading “Just Curious.”
**Speaking of which, last night on H&C, it was James Taranto versus Kirsten Powers; the topic: “So just how bitter and insane is the Left?” Reading from a prepared statement—this one apparently composed by Hannity, which is never propitious—Tubby Jim was going on and on about how the Huffington commenters reflected a tendency to viciousness on the Left. When it was pointed out to him that neither side has the franchise on deranged commenters, for chrissakes, which Mr. Best of the Web knows full well, just as he knows that many winger blogs don’t even trust their readership with comments, Taranto shot back: “Yeah, but I heard a liberal woman at a party one time say….” At which point, Holmes, though ever the gentleman, cut him off, by laughing in his face.

Huh! You must not have watched the show for yourself, because your version of the discussion is factually incorrect.

Now, I'm not going to call you a liar, Dolf...you probably read it on one of your left wing blogs and believed it to be true.
But it does tend to, uhh, weaken the impact of your installment of Ace *cough* Should Really Try to Get a Clue.

Naw, it's just Swansboro babbling again. As you can tell from his complete abandonment of critical thinking, he rarely offers much insight. And as you can tell from his most recent comment, his wit is even more infrequent.
