True story: for years, I did not know about the Mountain time zone. You see, I know where the time zones are based on baseball teams. If we're playing Cincy, the game is at 6, so Ohio must be in the Eastern time zone. If we're playing San Diego, then the game is at 9, so California must be in the Pacific time zone. The only team in the Mountain time zone is Arizona, but their games are at 9 because Arizona doesn't have daylight savings. So I thought for years that they were in the Pacific time zone and that there was no intermediate. I didn't know any better until I had to call a company in Utah for work and commented that I would wait until lunchtime because they were two hours behind us, and was then corrected. And laughed at.
