— Ace Sure, sure. And I'm sure Michael Moore was being equally facetious and satirical when he said the same thing. And James Wolcott, too, a few years back, cheering on hurricanes as Gaia's vengeance against the virus mankind.
Everything's cool, yo:
"One doesn't anticipate that one's private conversation will be surreptitiously taped by some right-wing nutcase," said Fowler. "But that's the nature of what we're dealing with."Fowler, a superdelegate who endorsed Hillary Clinton in 2007, was caught on tape saying: "The hurricanes going to hit New Orleans about the time they start. The timing is -- at least it appears now that itll be there Monday. That just demonstrates that Gods on our side. [Laughter] Everythings cool."
Who's the nutcase?
Via Hot Air, where, in case you didn't see it, it's noted that Alan Colmes is attempting to get Trig Trutherism off the ground a bit, by pushing a let's-ask-some-questions angle (gee, shoudn't Sarah Palin have immediately have gotten antibiotics when her water broke instead of boarding a plane to have her own doctor deliver the baby, hmmm, hmmm? (wink wink)).
And on Trig Trutherism: Here's the very obviously not-pregnant Palin in March.
You know the next step, right?
Pictures of pregancy/fat suits and comparisons to Palin's shape. With lots of detailed analysis, demonstrating that Palin must have been wearing this or that particular fat suit for a couple of months.

The only part of that idiocy that's a joke is the God part ... they're laughing at God being on their side because of course, they don't believe in one.
The rest ... 100% heartfelt. Oh, and the nature of what you're dealing with, asshole, is that you've been exposed for being a piece of shit.

Chris Dodd was the "General Chairman" of the DNC at this time (1995-7), which is the position this generation associates with McAuliffe and Dean. Fowler as the National Chairman actually ran things while Dodd ran his mouth.

Spratt Endorses Barack Obama
06/03/08
WASHINGTON U.S. Rep. John Spratt (D-SC), a super delegate to the Democratic National Convention, today announced that he will support and vote to nominate Senator Barack Obama.
Today I am announcing a decision I have withheld until the primary elections had run their course. I am supporting and will cast my super delegate vote for Senator Barack Obama.
Heres why:
First of all, Barack Obama carried 44 of the 46 counties in South Carolina and all 14 counties in my 5th Congressional District. Thats impressive, and instructive, but it is not dispositive.

funky: Hanna's cone includes South Carolina and is expected to be a hurricane when it hits. Hurricane preparations, cancelled plans and living in fear. Hardy har har!
Spratt needs to go.

If they're going to do their own in-depth investigation, might I suggest that the DU scientific committee tap (in a non-Shawn Johnson taco way) that genius who undertook the fabulously bold wtc/truther experiment with the chicken wire and cinder blocks? That is, if he isn't too busy teaching particle physics at MIT.

Colmes needs to stop practicing medicine without a license. He does not know what he is talking about. Nor does consulting a doctor in Sacramento who never examined, treated, or has knowledge of Palin's medical history or the history of her going into labor give him any credibility.

Can you imagine a criminal saying, "Shucks, officer, I wasn't expecting to see you..." Would that comment be remotely relevant in a court of law? No, and nor should Fowler's gripe about getting caught get any traction in the court of public opinion.
Just saying.

Isn't it a good idea to generally temper yourself in public? The defense of "it was a private conversation" is empty. It goes to the basic beliefs he and others like him have which is basically to hell with others, let's see what we can get of it for ourselves. Disgusting. The party of compassion? Nope. Its another gift.
Given how well the Republican govenor has done in preparing LA its all going to come back on them. Aside from required party business we won't need a weeklong infomercial as we have actions that demonstrate how one gets things done. And McCain sure as hell doesn't have any need for a stadium full of directionless, gullible, sobbing sheep and fireworks. Its frightening those people are allowed to drive let alone vote. Fools one and all.

Markos Moulitsas:
Every appearance by a top Republican official or candidate should be recorded. Every one of them.
All it takes is one "Macaca" incident to transform a race or create one where one didn't exist. As the Montana incident blogged earlier today showed, a video can knock out prospective candidates before they even enter.
And this is no longer about finding one big blunder to put on a campaign commercial. It's about using video and (free) technologies like YouTube to build narratives about opponents, using their own words, at their own events.

Downs Syndrome is genetic, no? WTF does an antibiotic have to do with anything?
BrewFan, her water started leaking when she was in Texas and that supposedly* increases the risk of infection. Instead of being treated in TX and possibly having the baby there, she got on a long flight back home.
Definitely not the safest choice, but the theories flying about are wacky: she wasn't really pregnant or she wanted the baby to die because he has Downs.
*that's the conventional wisdom; I've also read that water coming out doesn't actually increase the risk of an infection going in, exams increase the chance of infections.

49 Yeah...I agree...The Palin pregnancy thing Obama candidacy is pretty stupid and not at all necessary. The pick alone speaks for itself.. As proof of McCain's the left's utter lack of judgment, it ranks right up there with Harriet Miers for the Supreme Court Al Gore for the Presidency. Now that's the mark of a true 21st century Republican panderer...I mean ...leader democratic voter!
Fixed it for ya, Timmy.
