— Russ from Winterset Lindsey Graham disagreed with putting her on the ticket. I was just watching Bob Schieffer with CBS News reporting live from St. Paul, and he did a piece with David Brooks from the NYT where they listed all the negatives about the Palin selection.
They actually referenced Lindsey Graham's displeasure as a negative? Hello? Are these guys fucking paying attention anymore? Jeebus, citing Lindsey Graham as a barometer of what the Conservative Base of the Republican Party thinks is sort of like citing Saddam Hussein as an expert in land warfare tactics.
"Hey Senator McCain. There's someone on line 2 who claims that he's the French Minister of Defense, and he's using a *makes quotation signs in the air with his fingers* time machine to call you from 1939. He thinks that Sarah Palin is the worst choice you could have made, but I'm not sure who he thinks you should have picked. He keeps mumbling something about some Maginot dude. Didn't we vet him back in April?"

oh thank god. Graham was on the Hewitt show Friday singing Palin's praises, that was the only thing that worried me about her! Has anyone ever asked her about immigration, btw? You know how twisted those nunavuk coyotes can get.

it takes up the liberal theme of how Sarah Palin is no Hillary Clinton. When she shoots a caribou, she doesn't make it look like a suicide, and her fake southern accent ain't worth a damn.

Now if we could only hear that Lincoln Chafee hates her.
One thing does scare me, McCain thinks she's a good pick for VP.

This might put the baby slander to rest. The text clearly notes that Sarah was observed pregnant by the writer.

Release Todd Palin and twenty Kos Kids into the Alaskan wilderness. Each of the Kos Kids gets an M-16 with unlimited ammunition. Todd Palin gets a .22 with exactly twenty rounds of ammunition.
If Sarah is selected to go instead of Todd, she doesn't get a rifle, wouldn't be sporting. She gets a Rambo knife.

When they picked Biden, we just gigled like schoolgirls. We picked Palin, they went nuts.
I think the better pick is obvious.
Now, as I have said before, if we can get those guys at NRO to STFU.

I doubt it. They got their story and they're sticking to it.

As President of the Senate, would she let their bullshit go unchecked? Especially when she can just pick up the phone to the FBI...no wonder they are sweating bullets.

Man oh man, before I was looking forward to the VP debates, now, I'm actually giddy just thinking about them.
Biden is a moron who thinks he's a genius and eveyone around him is stupid so he says the most idiotic things. I have a feeling Palin will be able to highlight what a maroon he is without looking like a vicious attack dog. Heck, she'll probably just let him hang himself with his ignorance and stupidity.
Now that everybody is talking about Biden as all experienced and Palin as a neo-phyte, her allowing him to make a fool of himself is going to be even funnier. Watching the NYTimesWashPostCNNABCCBSNBCetc. try to pretend that Biden isn't an idiot after each debate? That's gonna be even funnier.
And the day after each Pres and VP debate where Obama!'s and Biden's spokestools have to keep clarifying what their candidates say? Comedy gold.
Just when you think this election can't get any funnier, somebody hits somebody with a pie in the face.

They are making themselves obsolete, but its too bad. There is a lot of intellectual capital and history there. Rather have them onboard instead of being the worst caricatures of conservatives.
Rick Brookhiser's blurb was vile.

And Alan Colmes joins the "it's Palin's fault she has a retard kid" meme:

Colmes is also trying to push some meme that maybe the Palins "had to get married" -
http://www.alan.com/2008/08/29/conservative-family-values/
Like he's convinced that would drive off conservative voters. What a tool - he really does believe that conservatives are the caricature that he makes us out to be.

#35 Yeah, Jim62sch, I just went to News Busters after posting here and they're carrying the Colmes' "eloping due to bastard" story too. Pretty sick, eh? Oh, and stupid, too, as it shows her even-more walking the pro-life walk walk by not aborting herself out of a marriage.

My wife and I had four kids between our mid-20s and mid-30s. We thought we were done; then one day, my wife calls me up at work and asks, "Are you sitting down?" That's when we were both 45.
Well, the first thing my wife did was send our 18-year-old daughter out to visit her grandmother. Because she knew that the first thing Grandma, that evil-tongued b****, would think was that our daughter was the one "knocked up". That's the kind of woman she is.
Isn't it funny, the way those people who proclaim themselves to be open-minded and tolerant, immediately become finger-wagging, scandal-mongering assholes when confronted with someone like Palin, who refuses to conform to their notions of what is right and proper.
By the way, our son was born perfectly healthy, and is the brightest, nicest young man you could ever hope to meet.

SC has great politicians, EXCEPT for "Lindsey".
He's not married and mighty dandy. I not saying he ghey, or that he's the father of Sarah's child, just you know, he does appear to have a wide stance.
cocksucker?
Oh, that was just for our quota, not that it describes anyone in this post.

My wife and I were in a similar situation. We were childless and middle aged. We never used contraception and after almost 20 yrs of marriage assumed that for reasons of biology we'd never have children. We're both working class and could never afford fertility treatments .Then , in my wife's 39'th year and my 44 th my wife got pregnant. To say we were surprised would be something of an understatement.
Over the course of the next nine months we went through all the testing and genetic counseling bullshit that is guaranteed to scare the shit out of couples. As luck would have it my wife delivered a healthy baby boy. He's 8 now . While he is very bright and can be sweet, there's this streak of wild ass southern boy that can be " challenging". I wouldn't have it any other way.
My little family is more of a blessing than I deserve.
McCain , Palin 08.
Lindsey Graham is a jerk.

Wow- Sarah and Todd HAD to get married!
Gosh, that might, if it were true, limit the victories in the South (where I'm sure these tools think it will hurt) to only 15 points instead of 17.
Keep it up guys, you personal attacks only make this sweeter!

I had some doubts about Sarah and still do as is to be expected when dealing with an unknown quantity.
She has however shown some real toughness and smarts from the get-go and is very impressive.
Check my blog for a photo-composite hoping for great things.
