DNC Rues Clues It May Lose Jews
— Ace

McCain up 54-32 among "New York Money Men"?

BTW, this headline was used a lot when I first started this blog. Back in the 2004 campaign.

The DNC did not lose Jews, despite news of Hamas crews and Iranian snafus, of course.

But I like the headline.

Personally I just think Jews lie to pollsters to fuck with us poor gullible Christians. They're as party-loyal as the Druze.

Did you see that on the News?

3 I wonder if he is struggling with the Hispanic vote as well with the new ad he put out? Still smells like the Obama campaign is the one worried.

4 They're Jewish. Like Jack Abramoff. What did you expect?

Posted by: Benson at September 17, 2008 02:47 PM (qzcNU)

5 Heh. yeah the Jews have a dilemma this time: vote mindlessly for the Democrat because of the letter behind his name, or choose the guy that actually supports Israel, opposes antisemitism and brutal murder of Jews, and fights against Iran's attempts to make a nuke and use it on Jerusalem.

10 bucks most of them still vote for Obama.

Do I really need to break out my erroneous 2006 claims that "the poll oversamples dems/it's biased/ it's flawed" etc?

Haven't you guys read that enough?  Do I really need to say the  same things over and over again?  For what purpose?  Just for the ceremony of it?

11 "Do I really need to break out my erroneous 2006 claims that "the poll oversamples dems/it's biased/ it's flawed" etc?" Oh there is absolute cause for concern, Obama can win. Need we go farther? 1) Presidental elections favor Republicans in general. 2) No one pays attention till the debates. Remember Bush last year. The debates almost killed him. 3) Obama isn't a closer. The closer people look at him the less likely they are to vote for him. 4) The right hasn't unleashed any attacks yet. 5) Obama hasn't won a contested state race that hasn't been a caucus. 6) This was an absolutely terrible week for the good guys. 7) It is not the end of the world 7 months out. The thing that scares me the most is that this race is McCain vs Obama (the media's version of him). That itself is a major problem since we can't even fight what he really believes. The bigger problem is that no one is discussing what gets swept into power if Obama gets elected. He won't be calling the shots. I'd love it if he was, but lets be honest he's a puppet with some personality. If these anti-american nuts win, God help us. This isn't a wait for 4 years type of problem. I want them stopped now and hopefully forever. Lets get focused here. If we look like losers we will be losers.

12 If your defintion of 'most' is a 51-49 split in favor of Obama, which I think would probably be the lowest percentage a Democrat ever got, you'll probably be right

13 I work on Wall St. and am in regular contact with many people of Hebraic persuation. The Joos started souring on Obummer long ago, when his pastor's anti-semitism came out. They were not too comfortable with GOP, but are warming up to McCain. Is the NY/NJ Jewish vote enough to flip a state?

We should not mistake secular jews whose religion is socialism with religious jews who follow the word of God instead of Marx.

This is like mistaking Pelosi, Kennedy, or Pfegger for Catholics who honor the word of God.

15 Dennis Prager had a short bit about Uhbama's annoying habit of changing his accent when speaking to audiences in the South. Prager played to short clips of Uhbama saying the same phrase but using a drawl for the Southern audience.

I would hork up a chunk of my salary to hear Uhbama slide into a Jackie Mason accent at an AIPAC speech.

16 I think there may be something to this number, based on a Jewish psychologist I consider a bellwether.  He voted for Kerry in 2004, voted for Democrats for Congress in 2006 but this year Obama has not made the sale.

Oh yeah -- and he's originally from NY.

All we need from this is for NY to be close, for Obama to have to spend his precious resources there (instead of Virginia and Colorado) and it could tip a close election.

So go money men/neocons/Cantors/etc.!

17 Now, now, Thomas Jackson: I'm a pretty non-observant Jew, but I've never voted for a Dem in my life.  South Florida may be full of knee-jerk snowbird bubbies in the condos pining for the glory days of FDR, but it's also Ground Zero for a lot of (generally much younger) Jewish Republicans.

22 While I'm sure it's completely racist to say, I'm not sure the fact Barack is a black man--and his name is Barack Hussein Obama--may not hurt him with certain demographics, old, white jews being one of them. Might not mean a thing. Still, I think a lot of old white Jews were rooting for Hillary. I dunno. I just know too many old white people who are usually faithful Dems who got a little of the old white cracker in 'em. They like voting for tall white guys named John Kerry and Bill Clinton. African-Americans named Barack Hussein Obama--well, ain't never been tried on 'em yet. Not scientific, but still. And I'm dubious about what certain segments are telling pollsters. But maybe I'm a craaaazy right winger. I just think Hillary was the safer nominee for the Dems, but they went crazy mod and new and fancy. That's right, I said fancy.

It's the reverse Bradley effect.  The Jews are lying to pollsters because they're ashamed to admit their guilt for keeping the brothers down.

When they go into that voting booth, they'll vote the One like it's the end of time and he's the one who's picking the 40,000.

I never understood why Jews voted for Democrats until I read Thomas Jackson's post above saying that a lot of Jews are Socialists.

I guess the fact that the Democrats would be happy to abandon Israel at the drop of a hat to the Palestinians, Arabs, or Persians, while the Republicans would be willing to go to war on their behalf is just a little aside thing.

Another thing I never considered is that Jews would be suspicious of Christians.  As a Christian, I find that odd since I revere the nation of Israel as chosen of God. A lot of biblical history over there.

Still, here's a little mental excercise.  At 3am, the CIA director call the President saying that a group has planted a dirty bomb beneath the street of a major US city.  The US is told to abandon Israel or the bomb will be set off.  Now, as a Jew, which party do you want in the White House?

30 Steve o, You would be shocked just how afraid some less religious Jews are of the evangelical Christian movement. Personally, I suspect that the fear derives at least in part from sublimated guilt over their religious "squishiness." More observant Jews like myself tend to be a lot friendlier to religious Christians, since we can tell who our real friends are—and weird eschatology aside, the evangelicals are a lot friendlier to us and to Israel than certain factions of the Democratic Party.

Has to do with a 1000 years or so history of pogroms and forced conversions. These things sink in after a while and aren't easily wiped away. Things are better now but still, trust but verify.

I can say that Obama hasn't lost this Jew but only because he never had me in the first place. He was plainly a Commie-wannabe thrall from almost first glance. I don't know of anyone in my immediate family or much of my extended family who'd vote for him for that very reason. The others, well, are young and/or stupid.

If the voting age was raised to 30 the Democrats would never see the inside of the Oval office again. As the Boomers died off it would just tip the balance further from assured defeats to landslides.

37 OBAMA = BETRAYAL
Obama supporters are foolish to think that he will never betray them.
Obama was a close friend of Pastor Wright for TWENTY YEARS.
Obama threw Wright under the bus for personal ambition.
McCain would not betray his country even after 5 years of torture.
You can put lipstick on a traitor, but he's still a traitor.
