— Ace One thing those beatin' on Palin ought to keep in mind: John McCain doesn't get a vice president if he doesn't get elected president in the first place.

Gees,
For an ole fart I am feeling damn good. I have said over and over, Dukakis, was ahead 8 points after convention and got his ass kicked. We haven't even started our convention and we are only a point down.
40 states. McGovern again.
Cocksuckers remember these forecasts.

And $7M in fundraising ain't nothing.
The base likes her, and that makes it a smart pick, regardless.
McCain's people are on FUCKING FIRE as they say.
And I never thought I would say that.

I find it amazing that Democrats managed to find a nominee who was even worse than John Kerry, but I seem to have a limitless capacity for overestimating them, no matter how much I feel my opinion of them couldn't be any lower.

Still, I sense a cold sweat across the aisle. The Democrats between the primary and now the general have dumped HUGE amounts of money into this so far. Astronomical really. They can't be happy.

I saw the fear in Gloria Borger's eyes today on CNN. She was clenching her fingers on her papers while Bonier was going off on all the experience she has.
Love McCain now, LOVE him.

Palin has won the election for McCain unless he drops the ball.
Anybody with a brain knows that the persistent leftist propaganda that the US is trending leftward is utter bullshit. The core of American culture is conservative, and the only reason it isn't obvious to all is the control of the media exercised by the left. As soon as someone with a (true) story so compelling as Ms. Palin's comes along, the dike bursts. That's why the media/donk prime directive is "no more Reagans".
Mark my words, it just happened again. That is why the donk-o-media is in a panic.
Chicago, OBAMA 13... we have a problem here.

You can say that again.
And they picked Ba-Ba-Biden as his running mate. Biden, the hidden gem who's been in the Senate for 95 years. Wow, what a great find!

I also bet that a lot of left wing journalists are calling their right leaning journalist friends and really pushing the "inexperiecned" line hard, mostly out of desperation. I hope the right leaning pundits aren't collegial enough to buy that crap. But I think great numbers of them are. That would explain a lot of what I've seen from journalists lately. I begin to think the right leaning journalists I rail at most ( The NRO ) aren't so much dumb or corrupt, just horribly easy to manipulate and too silly and full of themselves to recognize that their colleagues would do that to them. Well they will and they have... on Jamil Hussein on the TNR on John Edwards and now on Palin as well I think. Here's hoping they wise up. I'll try to keep a more civil tongue in my head without totally losing my bite.

Obama is pretty much screwed.
There's a long way to go yet...but if you cut through the bullshit, right now, for multiple reasons, it's looking like Mondale.
He'll carry a lot more then Minnesota - all the dem regulars. But he's gonna get fricken creamed just the same.

One might reasonably wonder if Obama isn't headed for a face plant off the monkey bars.

The only one who could have cracked NYC was Rudy as VP. NYC is just too big a nut to crack for outsider R's on their own. McCain can take all of upstate in a massive landslide and still lose the state due to NYC.

And we'd heard a lot of it before last week. "Rethuglicans" are anti-woman, anti-minority, anti-Gaia, unilateralist, backward, uncaring assholes.
And, thanks in large part to GWB, we've copped to this and writhed around at how horrible we are.
That Sh*t gets old.
"Maverick" has done his bit on both sides of things. Sometimes he does deals that get things done and sometimes he does deals that buy into the "we bad, we bad" chronicle.
Bringing in Sarah Palin as VP, though, puts a different spin on things. You have to do deals to make things happen in the Senate -- it's the way of things. But if you have a moose-hunting, corruption-quashing, cost-saving, hyper-competent woman -- who just happens to be married to a hyper-competent snowmobile-racing, steelworking, Yup'ik ("genuine people") man -- on your ticket, you're sending a clear signal that the entire "Rethuglican" meme is blown.
Sarah Palin says that the Republican Party stands for men and women who stand for themselves. Strong women, strong men. Citizens who set their country above their party, and who exemplify "diversity" by putting it in its rightful place -- subordinate to family and the rule of law. People who live their principles when times get tough, and own their own lives without government interference.
For people who heard Michelle Obama's "for the first time in my adult lifetime I am really proud of my country" comment, the contrast could not be more clear. A child of privelege, bringing down a $300K salary after her husband provided a $1M earmark to her employer, known for complaining over the burden of government-subsidized student loans that she incurred to attend Princeton........in contrast to Palin's attendance at the University of Idaho, and her profound appreciation of the opportunities provided by the American Dream.......
Confronted with the choice between such optimism and such pessimism, I can only hope that this election heavily favors Palin -- and the old fart on the top of the ticket.

THat 41% who know nothing about her is an important number.
They can be swayed against her if the cocksucker contingency is allowed to drive the narrative.
She needs to introduce herself in a very public, but down to earth way and shell have the same 80% approval rating
I love how the cocksucker MSM is trying to compare her to Hillary- as if its even close (in terms of experience- and no, I dont think riding your hubbies coattails into a carpetbagging Senate seat is impressive)

Sarah Palin? Who? Oh, you mean the "former mayor of a small town"? (tm)?

We'll see. I suspect, that if the Rs will lay off the Hillary attacks just a bit that a number of Manhattan women will quietly pull the lever for Palin...Could be very wrong...
