She's not sure she can remain a Democrat.

After all, the Democrats refuse the repeal the, quote unquote, "Secret Evidence Act."

Although, to be honest, I'm not sure why Reason is snarking about her nascent candidacy. Is the problem that she's not insane enough?

10 Like so many unelectables, their new occupation is "professional candidate." It pays relatively well, even if she runs as a radical (perhaps because she runs as a radical, aka antiestablishmentarianism [probably a real word]), and beats working for a living. Further, even after an election loss, they still have a job for the next round. It's a job that keeps on giving, and the only requirement is to have lots of opinions and a willingness to change them at the right time.

The "respectable" version of "professional candidate"? John Edwards. His degree of smarminess would put to shame the likes of McKinney. So would his haircuts.
