Crazy Blog-Money, Crazy Blog-Money, Thank God All Mighty, Crazy Blog-Money At Last
— Ace

Publisher to start turning blogs into books.

Okay, personally, I'm not expecting a call. But I'm happy for those liberal political bloggers, or web sex-'n'-relationship diarists, who'll get deals out of this.

Really happy.

I mean it.

I don't begrudge them their coming book-deals at all.

Completely unrelated-- can anyone recommend a high-voltage toaster with few safety features and the ability to continue pumping out juice without burning out if, just for example let's say, accidentally dropped in a bathtub?

I'm, uhhh, trying to win a bet with a friend.

1 Ace, you could do one of those sex-'n'-relationship diaries. It would be a blank book, of course. :-)

2 That's not true. Ace could pen a novel entitled "WWKSD" about his Kevin Spacey inspired manwhoring in New York's parks.

Nasty Adolfs indeed...

3 Don't forget that you'll probably need an extension cord in order to avoid that pesky GFCI circuit in the bathroom.

4 Don't ever forget, Ace, that even if you don't get that crazy blog money, I'll always be here for some hand release. Smooch@!

5 For the record I have no doubt that our acey is a real babe. If he's not getting any, it's because he doesn't want it!

7 Tell these guys:

That you want something that can handle 20 Amps.

As a bonus, the heating element can reach high enough temperatures to completely vaporize DNA. Bringing 'Toaster' to a whole new level.

8 Hi Ace,

Is crazy blog money something like mythical lottery winnings (that the damn bastards manage to lose anyways)? I have moved, and I have actually found my camera, but where are those damn pesky cables! Had I the capability, I would send you a picture of a toaster that I bought. I recently heard that there is a possibility that there exists a $10 toaster. It makes my goofy looking Delonghi (I swear that I am not making up the name ) expensive. I am scientifically trained (again I swear that I have degrees in physics ). All that you really need is that extension cord someone mentioned. The fancy toaster is just so much bling bling.

9 Oh I dunno, it sounds kind of fishy to me:

The Friday Project is the first mainstream publishing company to specialise in producing books inspired by popular websites

(Bolds mine.) This looks more like a conventional publishing scheme as well as a way to exploit someone else's popularity. After all, a book "inspired" by a "popular website" doesn't necessarily have to come from the owner of that website, as long as they don't actually use your name and material.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to work on my new project: Base of Hades, about a man with a popular website where he sometimes pretends to be an irritable Paul Williams. Sample quote to use as a sales blurb: "The ladies get hairnets!"
