— Ace The tip, and this is just a tip, but it's coming from someone reliable:
The problem in this story is twofold. Without wanting to provide details, the story really needs a second source.
Tom Maguire? Buddy? Please answer my emails.
The second problem is that anonymity -- no names, no pictures-- is requested. He fears retaliation and harassment. And who knows -- perhaps more.
Media may get away with going single-source on this, or anonymous sources, but not both single-source and anonymous.
So here's the day's twist: Believe it or don't.
The source was considering dropping his demand for anonymity. Thus likely moving the story forward. (He wasn't considering going forward with the Politico, by the way: but with the other, more important organization.)
And now, today? After witnessing Politico, among others, savage Joe Wurtzelbacher?
Cold feet.
The Politico has this story. They've had it for a while. They don't want to run it with the guy's anonymity kept intact.
Gee, I wonder why he wanted to keep that?
They're willing to endlessly vet anyone who even asks Barack Obama a question, but not Barack Obama himself.
I can pretty much understand the media's reluctance to allow anonymity -- except for the fact that the media so gleefully engages in the witness intimidation that prompts the request for anonymity in the first place.
As of now, the story appears dead.
Again, second source crucial. If anyone has the guts to go up against Obama's cultists and his state media.
The Other Party on the Story: I should say the Politico's reasoning is not obviously biased, because the other party, whom I respect, has the same damn problems.
I am picking on the Politico, however, because let's face it, they are a bit loose with the rules when it suits them, and because they took part in this "vetting," as they call it, of a citizen who dared to ask a question.
They're part of the same smear campaign and creepy threats of retaliation -- a home address? Why does that need to be known to a charged, angry electorate? -- against a guy who asked a question.
No, the Politico didn't do that part, but they dug an awful lot. And encouraged digging, because any leftie who hit upon something would get his tip published.
I cannot even imagine what would happen to a guy who called Obama a straight-up liar on his supposed "flimsy" relationship with The Terrorist William Ayers.
They know what this guy fears -- because they just participated in it.
Any dink of a sub-bureaucrat who could whistle-blow against the Bush Administration would have his story told -- with anonymity.
But it's different for The One.

Drudge's contact form asks for no information. He may've had some sort of fling with Barry to begin the season off with, but he's been highlighting anti-Obama stories and good news for McCain since around Palin's nomination.
Drudge is a pro-life conservative (who incidentally hates taxes by admission) and Andy Breitbart, who helps manage the site, is a righty, too.

I could not put my head to pillow, or shave my face in the mirror ever again knowing I could have stopped Obama and didn't. That just a fact. I am not some super brave guy or some tough guy, but we are talking about the future of our country at one of the most vulnerable times in its history. As Charles Krauthammer remarked tonight, the barriers to fundamental change in this country were torn down by this economic bailout. With those historical barriers gone, Obama+Pelosi+Reid will rush further left quicker than can be imagined.
Hey, maybe I'm wrong... not knowing the details it's tough to say.

Surely the Obama campaign already knows who this guy is. But if he doesn't put himself in the public eye, a mysterious "accident" could go unnoticed.
If this guy is worried about reprisals, the very best way to combat that is to go public. Going public would make it very difficult for anyone to harm him in a meaningful way.

I say start leaking the story itself. If it has legs it will demand attribution and follow up. If there are others, and any really worthy story will, then that can start becoming apparent. Approaching guys like Breitbart and Novak etc. behind the scenes can help give it enough strength to pull it through. Make the story the star, not the man telling it. If the story is big, the man is safe.

1. The Secretary of State of Ohio Jennifer Brunner filed a request in the Supreme Court relating to the underlying claim in her state that there has been voter registration fraud with ties to the work of ACORN in registering voters.
2. A group the Service Employees International Union [SEIU] filed an amicus brief in the United States Supreme Court asking the Supreme Court to rule with the Secretary of State of Ohio (and essentially asking for a ruling that would be favorable to ACORN in that it would call off the dogs.)
3. I thought it curious that SEIU would file an amicus brief for Brunner and did some quick research and now I need more indepth research (which is where YOU come in.) According to my quick research..the same person who started ACORN, started SIEU. His name is Wade Rathke. So then I wondered, who is Wade Rathke?
4. I did some really quick research and learned that Rathke was a member of the anti war group SDS. This is where YOU come in again. If you know 60s history, you know that the Weather Underground was an offshoot of SDS. There was some disagreement in the late 60s and members of the SDS - Bill Ayers and his wife - left and formed/ joined the Weather Underground.
So now I am wondering: do Rathke and Ayers know each other (from SDS / Weather Underground days)? what is the connection now, if any, between them? between ACORN and SEIU? between them and Senator Obama?
There may be absolutely NO connection but we should at least take a look at it. If there is none, we should make that known. Senator Obama should not have to fight the viral nature of rumors. If there is a connection or relation, it might be of some further interest that is worth more investigation. And it may turn out, if there is a connection, that the connection is of no moment but we should at least see what the facts are and then reach our individual conclusions.
So there is your assigment .get looking!!

So please...listen to your devoted fans. The story must get out, but it doesn't have to appear here..just get it out there..somewhere and we shall find it.

In a McCain presidency, the source may be disparaged in the next few months and abused, but he benefits from the rule of law and its protections.
In an Obama presidency, he is dead. Those who know what sins the Leader has committed will be erased.
Think I'm exaggerating? Spend several years in Germany studying the ascent of the Third Reich. Evaluate Stalin, Lenin, Mao, Pol Pot and numerous other disciples of the totalitarian theory, evaluate their behavior when they had not yet ascended into power and evaluate the deltas between that and Obama's ACORN squads. This isn't a false alarm. You have a national crisis (sub-prime meltdown, $10+ trillion in debt, and debtors that are prepared to yank the credit), a unified Congress and Obama presidential ascent, weak states, a split Court and a large business base that is now owned by the left due to its addiction to credit and the credit-controlling government (via ownership of the banks).
Even a "light" dose of this means your Leader Obama will have the capacity to silence his enemies. But once you understand how Leader Obama has erased 15 years of his history, you'll realize he wishes to keep that silent. The "source" here must decide now: speak, take your lumps in a mostly open society and keep your family alive, or keep silent and empower He who shall remove all traces.

For something like that to work, you have to make you case behind the scenes, full up, and bring it out at once for maximum impact. None of this trickle trickle half-mention bullshit.
I'm glad I've kept anonymous here, though, because clearly the O's friends will be gunning for anyone who tells "lies" about him. Don't you know that lies hurt everyone? Everyone! We can't let that happen, can we?

Shit, I could say the same for half the commenters here. There are long term commenters here I trust more than half the people on TV.

Compared to torture, warrantless wiretapping, the suspension of habeus corpus, etc., a guy who may or may not exist who decides not to do an interview is THE WORST ACT of totalitarianism in the last 8 years? (re: comment 9) Really? A guy who has opted out of an interview is the worst example and utmost proof of totalitarianism? Try being banned from flying ever again in the United States because you have a name similar to someone the US government doesn't like, because maybe they went to an anti-war vegan potluck dinner with a friend once.

Sue,
If you can show me where this has been "reported,' as opposed to someone saying it in a blog comment, I'd be grateful. I do not believe a major reporter at a major news network is chasing an old story.
Re: Sex
there's that story too, which no, I did not retract. I just deleted the post because people wouldn't stop saying her name.
There is stuff on that but I'm not saying anything because I don't want to tease before I know it's really coming.
But the story is advancing -- not retreating.

Interesting stuff. I'm with some of the other commenters that if this is only about a baby sitting thing, not sure it moves the needle in a meaningful way. The guy went on national television last night and said he DID NOT launch his political career in Ayers' livingroom. If there was any coverage (MSM) of the lie I missed it.
I can totally understand the source not wanting to be identified, especially if he/she lives in Chicago. Probably has kids too. No way, Jose. Not worth it. Rev. Wright, Fr. Pfleger and screwey Louie all draw large, very large, crowds in that town. You might even get the impression that some in those crowds are a little bent. I know I've just commited a thought/hate crime by saying that but they haven't taken over yet, although I'm sure the recriminations and prosecutions will be retroactive.

As individuals, it's easy to feel helpless against the endless media propaganda that we experience every day.
But we do have influence.
Every day, with every word and action, we influence those around us.
God gives us the means, individually, to shape our world. It's up to us to tap into our strengths in order to do it.
This blog had 100,000 unique hits in a week. Think about that. Simply typing a well reasoned thought or funny line into a comment box may very well influence someone's thinking. That's a powerful thing. And something to be celebrated.

I have to disagree with counter. It sucks. I know 30 people who have never gotten past the fucking banana fritters in chapters 1-3.
I hate it. I've tried reading it four times. My eyes slide off the page. He's too interested in weaving esoterica into prose.
You've probably already read it, but let me suggest the Cliff's Notes to any Pynchon -- Crying of Lot 49. 150 pages, punchy fast and funny, and pretty much it's the same Pynchon as in any of his brutally long books, so you're covered.

I hate to burst your bubble, but I don't believe for an instant that as low-rent a publication (is it still a publication if it's only on the Web?) as Politico wouldn't grant anonymity to a source if it thought it would get a few extra page hits. More likely is that the source's information is so feeble that Drudge won't even print it.

And if there are no videos or photos, no one is going to believe any one. It is somebody's word against another.
They would have to have a photo(s) or video of either:
1) Ayers writing the final draft of Obama's books,
or
2) Ayers and Obama reading quotes from Karl Marx books and discussing how the US would be better off as a socialist country;
or
3) Ayers, Rev. Wright and Obama singing "Godxxxn the US of AmeriKKKa"
in 3-part harmony
or
4) Ayers and Michelle Obama mud wrestling on the US flag
before it would have any impact on this election.

A thought occurred to me while reading the comments (it happens sometimes). Do you think that the hesitation about running a single source and/or anonymous story is not so much partisanship as it is intimidation? The same reason the tipster is hesitant to reveal his identity?
Is it a stretch to wonder just how far Obama's long arm of thuggery reaches? Yes, there are those who are obviously in the tank for O, but 100% of the MSM? Even Fox has been soft, and they made their name being anti-liberal. Who out there has bigger balls than Murdoch? Soros, maybe?
I wonder if the double standard we see regarding the attacks on Bush/Cheney over the past 8 years and the absolute refusal to touch anything remotely negative about Obama has to do not so much with partisanship as it does confidence that Bush wouldn't have them destroyed for not repeating the narrative?

Do the country a favor and go and kill yourselves. Real conservative want their party back from the hands of you crazed hate mongers. You want to know why Obama is going to win? Look in the mirror.
