Claim: Obama Marched With Farrakahn in So-Called Million Man March?
— Ace

Correction: I just added the question mark because I'm not sure the authority here -- biography.com -- is sufficient. Thanks to genghis for suggesting I check the original source.

More: Genghis says the site to by the below blogs linked is "wormy" and lights up security measures. Looking even shakier than it did before.

It's not so much the march, but marching under the flag of degenerate lunatic Louis Farrakhan.

For a different kind of politician, set to heal our racial wounds, Obama sure does seem to carry a lot of old school racewarrior baggage.

Was this seen as a more-or-less mainstream event in the black community itself? Well, maybe, maybe not, but not among the black political leadership, which almost entirely sat the event out.

Only two members of Congress attended, as did a couple of mayors (including Marion Barry), Rev. Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton. President Clinton gave a speech endorsing the goals of the march, but condemning its organizer.

Thank you.

9 I don't have time to find the smoking gun, but if you google million man march and obama, you will get plenty of different hits. The fact that his church was one of the organizers with  Farrakan,  leads me to believe it is true.

Hey, Ace. Been a while.

<a href="http://isteve.blogspot.com/2008/03/obama-flew-to-dc-to-attend-farrakhans.html">Steve Sailer</a> mentioned this two weeks ago, finding it in a <a href="http://www.chicagoreader.com/features/stories/archive/barackobama/">Chicago Reader</a> article.

No mention of him marching with Farrakahn directly, but it can't be all that unusual that he'd go.

Obama, Obama, Obama. What is it with you and deranged preachers? What's next? We find out that Abu Bakar Bashir ran your Indonesian Boy Scout troop?

Seriously, any allegedly mainstream politician who'd allow himself to even be in the same zip code as Farrakhan has some major judgment issues. Cuz it doesn't take a genius to recognize that, when God made Calypso Louis, he went a little heavy on the crazy.

Oh, man, I loved that movie.

Farra-Khan uses Ceti-eels to control his minions, including Barack-obama (a Trekkie appelation if I ever heard one).  Farra-Khan uses Obama to lure young women to his Muslim lair, where he robs them of their life force.

13 In solidarity, all those appearing on air at MSNBC will be wearing little black bow ties until Obama is nominated.

Just the bow tie, except Andrea Mitchel.

16 This is purely anecdotal, but my mother, (who is currently in the hospital for a blood-clot), says that every one of her black nurses so far, has told her they would never vote for Obama. They volunteer the information, freely when they see the T.V.is on CNN, and news about the Democrat primary is on. They are all appalled by Reverend Wright. They don't like Hillary either.

When we see huge crowds of blacks supporting him, and listen to the polls, we get the impression that all blacks support him. But that's not the case, at all.

Posted by: Nice Deb at March 30, 2008 08:58 AM (0RYjO)

17 Nice Deb,

I've had a similar experience. I know several Democratic African Americans who won't support Obama, each for their own individual reasons.

Posted by: Benson at March 30, 2008 09:03 AM (qzcNU)

18 So, which talking head, if any, is going to work up the courage to ask him? This is so ridiculous that so much of the man's background has gone unvetted by the press.

No, no, no.  You miss the point on how Obama is going to heal our racial wounds.  White people will have to admit their permanent guilt.  White people will have to learn to Love White Guilt (Big Brother), not just tolerate him or stop trying to get around him.  White people must actively affirm their race guilt.  Then and only then, racial healing can begin.

President Clinton gave a speech endorsing the goals of the march, but condemning its organizer.

The Obamaniacs (led by MSNBC) don't get it, but this was how Clinton got elected twice. He was clearly a liberal, but he was raised in the rural south and had a sense of when normal people say, "Whoa. Now I can't support you anymore." Obama and Company really don't have any concept of normal Americans, and they have no idea when they've not only crossed that line, but pole-vaulted several yards onto the other side.

Cal (#10) above is correct. This looks like it might be credible. I didn't mean to cast doubt on the post, just the bugginess of the link. I've sent this to Ace and hope he'll accept my apologies and revise the post. Here's a link I hope works to the Chicago Reader story (it's very long, and the salient paragraphs are past the midway pont)

22 On the bugginess issue, the link from the libertarianrepublican blog triggered a shitload of trouble and caused a couple of nasty bugs that tried to take over my system. It got past three firewalls and triggered an immediate response and download/defense from Symantec. The bio.com article I was able to see before things went weird didn't mention Obama, so that's why I was questioning it.

Posted by: genghis at March 30, 2008 10:15 AM (HwY1l)

23

(sigh)

The salient paragraphs and quotes from Obama are near the end of the article. The bottom half of the page is comments on the story.

Time for a nap, I think.

24 Oh, shoot, you beat me to it, genghis.

Interesting article.  Kansas girl, his mom, sure did like the foreign exchange boys, didn't she.   Looks like she had a bad case of jungle fever.

Reminds me of the SNL Skit for tattoo remover, with the Jamaican punch line

Has anyone tracked down what his grandparents did in Hawaii?  How they paid for Barry's HS?  Or was Barry a token scholarship student?
