— Uncle Jimbo The upcoming fiasco in NYC as Khalid "Sheik Sheik Sheik" Mohammed and his partners in terror take the stage is as grotesque as it is shamefully partisan. Holder and Obama don't have the stones to take on the Bush administration's terrorism policies directly as their lefty moonbat fellow travelers demand. So instead they decide to let KSM do their dirty work for them. He is obviously the perfect plaintiff to bemoan the torture and lawlessness of W & Cheney, and he will make sure to use the platform he requested to remind the world of those crimes and more.
The case that this somehow validates our justice system is nonsensical as Barry himself helped pass the military commissions legislation that KSM and his pals would have pled guilty under. Well until Obama pulled the plug. I try not to worry for our country as it is stronger than any set of fools and naifs. But these guys make it tough to watch. Video beranting this below the fold.

How funny you said that. Just today, Fred Thompson's FB page had an entry about KSM's NY trial. Some buffoon wrote that very thing in the comments section. He will blame Bush for whatever happens re: this trial's outcome. Bush's "torture" brought it all on and if he gets off, or any terrorism attacks come to NY, it's Bush's fault. I never cease to be amazed at the liberal jack wipes that live in this country.

IMHO, this will be prelude to: 1] using discovery and the trial to bolster a case vs. GWB at the Internat'l Court as a 'war criminal', and 2] using elements of foreign law in order to convict KSM.
The second is just as important. We can't convict KSM if we use strictly US law, but if they can set a legal precedent for foriegn laws used in US courts and convict him that way, its a two-fer.

It really is a win-win for Obambi here. If KSM is convicted, he gets to say "See I told you we should be trying these guys in criminal court", and if KSM gets off, then he can say "Well if it weren't for the evil BushitlerCheney regime this would not have happened".

This enrages me as much as anything he has done thus far, but I don't read it to play that way. The far left loons, obviously, are pleased. But anyone to the right of Nancy Pelosi has to have at the very least, grave misgivings about how this is all going to come down.
If KSM is convicted in a businesslike trial without a lot of BS and gets the death penalty, well, so be it. Obama can take the credit. If it turns into a show trial - a much higher probability - it makes Obama and Holder look weak and ineffectual. If, God forbid, there are terrorist attacks during the trial or as a result of the trial, it all falls in Obama's lap. Even some libs are going to ask "WTF was he thinking of?" Obama is the one driving this train and if it gets derailed I think he will get the heat.
Bush had a good procedure vetted and set up. I'm livid about how that has been tossed away, but that is another argument. Politically, if Obama goes another in another direction and it doesn't work out well, I'm not seeing how most people will lay it at Bush's doorstep.
Not that the media and Dems won't try, but I think people are getting sick of that theme. They are truly playing with fire here.

I don't remember the name of it, but as I recall, there is one very tough prison in Colorado that is a prisoner's worst nightmare and that would be a helluvalot more appropriate place to put those Muslim sick freaks than in some prison in Illinois
