— Ace Was this guy really that impressive? I always thought he was pretty damn boring.
But I never really followed the Flash, and I've always had this bias against blond male superheroes.
Yes, including Captain America.

I never really liked the Flash.
I mean, his superpower was that he could run away really fast. Why wasn't he called "Le Flash"?

I just read the DC Universe #0 where the character makes his supposed comeback. He never actually appears, just narrates with each box of text carrying a lightning bolt to suggest who is speaking.
Considering that this series is a sequel to the one that killed him off, I wouldn't count on this marking a permanent return of the character. The current '52 Universes' context has plenty of Barry Allens running about but none of them are the guy who died in the first Crisis series. There are all sorts of games Morrison can play with that and Morrison does love his games.

Superman was dead. Supergirl was dead. Wonder Woman was dead, and so was her mom. Green Lantern AND Green Arrow were dead. The Spectre... well, that's his schtick anyway, never mind him. Martian Manhunter's been dead. The second Robin was dead. Hawkman's been dead a bunch of times. Aquaman's still dead as far as I can tell, except there's two characters that... oh never mind them, he's dead.
Who wears tights and fights evil that has not been dead, at DC Comics? Is it a fucking JOB REQUIREMENT now or what?

John Wesley Schipp is calling his agent right now about resurrecting "The Flash" tv show.
Anyway, to quote Darth Vader:
"Yippee!"

Steel's been dead. I'd look it up if I were slightly less lazy.
"Cyborg
Nightwing
Robin III "
Okay, maybe not them. If they did die I missed it.
Plastic Man"
Thanks to Joe Kelly, Plastic Man spent 3000 years on the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean as disintegrated plastic crumbs. With no dialogue. That's as close as he's physically able to get to being dead.

Heh!
I remember in the 1990s, when Marvel brought Jean Grey back from the dead (as herself, I mean, because they'd already brought back a bunch of versions of her, too), it offended me and pissed me off so much that I stopped reading the entire company's line of titles.
Can't be that picky NOW, can I?
