When somebody asks me my opinion about the merits of glue-laminated beams vs. steel beams I just throw poo at them, because that's what I do best, and I don't know much about the other.
In the year since Donald Trump was elected, the entertainment world has been largely united in its disdain for his presidency. But a notable voice has been missing from the chorus: that of Taylor Swift, the world’s biggest pop star. Her silence is striking, highlighting the parallels between the singer and the president: their adept use of social media to foster a diehard support base; their solipsism; their laser focus on the bottom line; their support among the “alt-right”.
My knowledge of Taylor Swift's music is perfect. I cannot name a single song by her, and I certainly wouldn't recognize any of her music were I to hear it, which I won't. But what little I know of her impresses me. She is, by all accounts, a hard-headed businesswoman who carefully manages her brand to maximize profit. And she doesn't put up with dickheads grabbing her ass, unlike 99% of Hollywood's leading ladies who apparently allow themselves to be molested in return for juicy parts.
The guardian (it doesn't deserve a capital letter) goes on to smear Swift with the "racist" accusation, simply because most of her friends are White. Charming. And that's not all. They blather on with all sorts of innuendo, but very little in the way of actual fact.
One in particular I enjoyed very much. Damning her with faint praise, they say "She calls herself a feminist." Actually, she IS a feminist. She controls her own destiny, is subservient to no man, protects herself from attacks, and has built a successful career in a male-dominated business.
But because she doesn't spout the SJW talking points (or anyone else's) she is being vilified by a bunch of effete Brits who know so little about America that it is breathtaking. It is exactly their smug and superior tone that makes Americans dismiss their attempts at guiding the masses.
And the result? President Donald Trump. more...

Good morning kids. Hump day is here and since Bob from the NSA has been paid off by Pixy, we're back up and running again. The big news is that Whoa, Fat! has launched another ICBM that is reportedly now able to hit anywhere in the continental US. The President's reaction has been muted but the war of words and/or Tweets has only limited effectiveness. The only response I can see is a military one since the next move for the NorKs is to launch another missile with a nuke warhead on it and detonate it in the Sea of Japan (or elsewhere).
Back here in the target area, the big news is that PDT and the American people scored a YUUGE win with a judge ruling in favor of the President, allowing for the installation of Mick Mulvaney to chair the CFPB. Of note, the judge is a Trump appointee (and this is a key reason why we voted for him) and Mulvaney who is a fiscal conservative is already gumming up the works of the crooks, hacks and commies by announcing a hiring and regulatory freeze. Rush has a great take on the CFPB; it's not just a way for Leftists to have a permanent mechanism to sabotage any attempt to roll back the Leviathan, but it's yet another money-laundering/bank shakedown scheme to take our money and fund Leftist causes and organizations. In my own words, "KILL IT."
The Senate tax plan, warts and all, has cleared the committee and is heading for a floor vote. Corker and Johnson are actually on board to vote yes but the perpetually dying John McStain is still a big question mark. In related news, PDT is totally pwn3ing the MFM and the Dems (BIRM) vis a vis the Pocahontas statement and by preemptively attacking Chuck Schemer and Nancy Palsi about the government shutdown, and since they have refused to negotiate with him he has shifted the blame to their side. And by the way, see the link about consumer confidence. Winning. Still not tired of it.
Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.

We live in strange times. Never has maleness been more difficult, less socially acceptable, and more dangerous to one’s health, wellbeing, career, and liberty. A once-proud gender, a bit under 50% of humanity, has been, through the miracle of gender fluidity, the invention of new pronouns, legislation, public opinion and politics, reduced to uncertain pariah status, at least on the coasts, on college campuses and now in the halls of Congress. Mike McDaniel
“I know a lot of white Christians who are upset by what’s happening at Standing Rock, and upset by our segregated communities. But they don’t necessarily see how our Christian patterns over the last several hundred years have created the conditions for those things, so they don’t feel responsible for them.” Jeannine Hill Fletcher

[There is no truth to the rumor that the server was recently relocated to a new shelf in the AoSHQ bunker] more...
— Pixy Misa Hi everyone. If you're seeing this, it means my frantic emergency blog surgery worked.
The server was fine all along. What happened was that back in 2006 or thereabouts, one of the mu.nu bloggers uploaded a few MP3 files to his blog. Today, a clever little bot out on the internet discovered them and fired off a barrage of automated DMCA takedown requests, including some duplicates.
A bot at our hosting provider noticed the multiple DMCA takedown requests and turned off our IP address, leading to much sadness.
I just needed to move the sites to a different IP address, but the existing IP address was the primary IP for the virtual server, so I couldn't get directly into the server, and it couldn't re-sync DNS with the rest of the cluster even when I had gotten in, so a certain amount of comedy ensued.
So basically we got taken out by Skynet, just 20 years late.
Oh, as mentioned in the comments, the site might load slowly for some people for the next couple of hours, as the DNS propagates out to the rest of the observable universe. That should sort itself out automatically, though.

What's so difficult about this? If I want someone to touch me I let them. If I don't, I throw poo at them. Clearly there isn't enough poo-flinging in the elevators of the Capitol.
I don't recall reading any of Christine Rousselle's other stuff, so I will defer judgement on her journalistic chops, but her article: Cokie Roberts: Oh, We All Knew To Avoid Getting in An Elevator With Rep. Conyers falls far short of the appropriate condemnation of the cozy relationship the media have with politicians of the appropriate party.
Speaking on ABC's "This Week," Cokie Roberts made a startling admission: "every female in the press corps knew" to avoid being in an elevator with Rep. John Conyers (D-MI), and has apparently known about this "for years." Conyers has been accused of multiple instances of sexual harassment and has stepped down from the House Judiciary Committee.
Does anyone doubt that Cokie would have done a nine-part exposé on "Rape In The Halls Of The Capitol" had the ass-grabber been a Republican?
So to Cokie Roberts and all of the other "journalists" who ignored a big story in furtherance of their political beliefs, I address two points:
First, how many unsuspecting women were attacked by Conyers and the other predators in Congress because you kept their dirty big secret? Were any raped. molested, driven from their jobs? If so, it is on your pointy little heads!
Second, fvck you for your craven and arrogant belief that you were serving the greater good by keeping those sordid secrets from a public that is owed the information. The Constitution doesn't protect the press from government interference on the condition that it is protected in return. Your only function is to pull back the curtains and expose government, not coddle it to protect your perks. You are disgusting, immoral whores (and I apologize to the real whores who actually give value). more...

Good morning kids. Let's dive right in, shall we? In the lead is James O'Keefe's Project Veritas was conducting a sting against the National Laughingstock (aka Washington Post) and evidently got caught by the target. Veritas was baiting them with a woman posing as a victim of Roy Moore; to make it juicier, she claimed to have had his love child when she was a teenager back in the 70s.
The takeaway here is not that getting caught by your mark, in this case the Post, does not discount the underlying objective of the sting - to prove that that organization is nothing more than a propaganda rag and house organ of, by and for the Left. Project Veritas are the real journalists; their record since coming to the fore during the Obama reign of error speaks for itself.
Moving along, Al Franken held a joke of a presser - that is to anyone with a moral compass. Of course he won't step down and neither will John Conyers, although with regard to the latter, Nancy Pelosi is going all wobbly on her staunch defense of the octogenarian Marxist pervert. So far, the only voice on their side of the aisle blasting all of this is one lone Congresswoman from, of all places, Long Island, who has called for Franken's head and blasted Pelosi in the bargain.
In a related development, yesterday we heard rumblings that Al Green (the idiot congressman, not the iconic soul singer) may be the next to get hit with accusations but now, Raul "tarantula-face" Grijalva reportedly paid hush money from yet another slush fund to silence one of his victims.
And could this be related? The execrable Luis Gutierrez, the FALN terrorist supporting congress-fiend from Chicago who has been the face of the illegal alien invasion for several decades has decided "no mas" to another term. Hmm. Overjoyed never to see him again but that is tempered by the knowledge that there are dozens if not hundreds like him ready to take his place.
Moving right along, on Rush's show yesterday he came right out and proclaimed Komrade Kolonel Sanders as the Democrat nominee for 2020. Maybe he's trolling the Democrats with that one, but in any case, there is a real civil war in that party between the left hand and the far left hand.
The Insurrectionists are making a stand at the CFPB by both suing the President and insisting that Richard Cordray's assistant commissar and Obama flunky takes his place. In a sane world, the CFPB would not even exist, but in a sane world, they have absolutely zero case; the President has clear, unmistakable authority to choose who heads that agency. Judging from the state of the judiciary, that situation remains alarmingly fluid. It would be a huge torpedo hit to the vitals of the enemy to take that thing down from within.
And speaking of a corrupt judiciary, SCOTUS has refused to take a crucial 2nd amendment case and so an automatic weapons ban is the law of the land. Feh.

— Ace As Comrade Arthur says, "So it is possible that a Democrat can resign..."
He had previously said he would resign at the end of his term, but now with more women accusing him of "unwanted touching," he's decided to resign immediately.
California Assemblyman Raul Bocanegra said Monday he is resigning effective immediately after multiple women accused him of sexual harassment and unwanted touching, after previously announcing he would wait until the end of the legislative term.
"Upon further reflection during the recent holiday weekend, and conversations with family, friends, supporters, I have decided to resign earlier from the State Assembly effective immediately, which was my original intention," Bocanegra said in a statement released Monday.
Incidentally, Al Franken gave a quick presser in which he basically repeated what he'd said in his earlier statement to local papers -- in fact, he specifically quoted himself.
Once again he said his memory differed from Leeanne Tweeden's, but did not say what his memory was. Once again he offered Apologies Without Admissions. He apologized for effects alleged -- making women feel "uncomfortable" -- but not for any specific actions on his part, such as groping, that caused those effects.
Franken is basically denying these allegations without saying so. Being a Democrat, he is required to Believe All Women (or pretend to), so he contradicts them implicitly rather than explicitly. He claims to not remember if he groped strangers -- a bizarre failure of memory, as most men, I think, can remember all breasts and buttocks they've fondled. So what he really means when he says he doesn't remember this happening is that it did not happen, but he can't actually say that. He just implies they're liars -- he doesn't say plainly that they are.
Such is the progress Democrats have made since they suddenly developed a conscience about Bill Clinton's serial sexual crimes two weeks ago. They've made the huge leap from claiming female accusers are nuts and sluts recruited from trailer parks to make rightwing conspiracy allegations to merely strongly implying they are, while apologizing for making them "uncomfortable" being paid liars for Richard Scaife.
— Ace I don't know why this is offensive, but apparently it's The Worst Thing since The Last Thing.
"I just want to thank you because you are very, very special people. You were here long before any of us were here," Trump said. "Although, we have a representative in Congress who has been here a long time ... longer than you -- they call her Pocahontas!"
I don't know why this is offensive. His joke is that Elizabeth Warren is not an Indian. He's not making fun of Indians; he's making fun of a caucasian playing Indian for diversity promotion reasons.
This is obvious.
This is being called a "slur" by DNC leader Tom Perez, because, well, Democrats are demagogues.
Not only did Tom Perez call it a slur, but so did a more prominent Democrat spokesman:
WH press sec says "Pocahontas" is not a racial slur. (Fact check: it is.) https://t.co/tRW5H7ILcn— Jim Acosta (@Acosta) November 27, 2017
Parts of the right can be expected to go into Eek-A-Mouse mode because they need to show their concern over things that are silly because liberals told them to.
I guess the violation here is that you're not allowed to make jokey asides at a ceremony that's #SoSerious? But why is that a rule? Who said you can't be ironic and jokey at something that is inherently celebretary?
Meanwhile, our Very Serious Newspyrsyns were on this previous shriek-out today:
I️ dont cook much these days, but managed this Chocolate Pecan Pie for Thanksgiving at the family farm! pic.twitter.com/rO8nFxtly7— Sarah Sanders (@PressSec) November 23, 2017

I am thankful for this laugh on Black Friday! https://t.co/ifeSBlSZW7— AprilDRyan (@AprilDRyan) November 24, 2017
Sarah Huckabee Sanders obviously meant this pie recipe and was not passing this picture off as a picture of her pie. Hint as to that: The entirely white background of the picture, which is something people use for stock photos. People taking pictures do not white out the background to produce a stock photo.
Mollie Hemingway comments:
I'm not entirely sure that a WH press corps engaged in pie trutherism has the emotional distance we need to cover this presidency.— Mollie (@MZHemingway) November 27, 2017
— Ace Play for pay.
Newly filed court documents confirm that Fusion GPS, the company mostly responsible for the controversial "Trump dossier" on presidential candidate Donald Trump, made payments to three journalists between June 2016 until February 2017.
The revelation could be a breakthrough for House Republicans, who are exploring whether Fusion GPS used the dossier, which was later criticized for having inaccurate information on Trump, to feed anti-Trump stories to the press during and after the presidential campaign. The three journalists who were paid by Fusion GPS are known to have reported on "Russia issues relevant to [the committee's] investigation," the House Intelligence Committee said in a court filing.
But the recipients' names, the amounts, and purposes of those payments were either redacted from the documents that Fusion GPS filed to the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia or were not disclosed.
Fusion GPS didn't deny that some payments went to reporters, but argues that these payments were made to help the company with research.
That sounds like a dodge to me. If you pay a reporter specifically to "research" (for example) Trump, and he finds x or y, obviously he's going to print x or y in his paper. I'm sure Fusion GPS doesn't forbid them from doing that; rather, that's the entire point of this exercise.
So they're paying reporters what we might call bounties to find dirt about specific individuals. As I said, they do not need to then demand reporters print those stories -- reporters will do that automatically. Their entire stock in trade is printing stories, so if they have one -- whether paid for by an outside interested party or not -- they'll run it.
So this might be a clever scheme which permits reporters to believe they're not being paid to write stories Fusion GPS wants, and permit Fusion GPS to say they're not specifically paying reporters to print stories -- all they're doing is paying for "research" on a specific person or organization, and hey, if the reporter then wants to publish what he found, that's just Good Journalism, right?
— Ace But whyyyyy...?!
"Nobody's actually been to see me," the two-time failed presidential candidate said in a radio interview. "I see Democrats all the time, and nobody has said 'Hey, I'm going to run,' or 'I'm thinking about running, give me advice now,' because it is too soon."
They're not asking your advice only because it's too soon? Yeah, that must be it.
She added, "And there may be some private planning going on by some people. I wouldnt know who. I wouldnt hazard a guess. But in terms of actually seeking out advice, people have said, 'hey, I want to come talk to you.' But I havent had those conversations, in large measure, because I've said I'm going to focus next year on 2018, and then, you know, I'll be happy to talk."
Democrats pretended to love and cherish Hillary Clinton only because she had the power to destroy them if they didn't (and she kept a long Enemies List of those she thought were inadequately loyal) and because they thought she represented their next best bid for the only thing they care about, political dominance.
Now she has no power and has no chance of being anyone's political champion.
Therefore, people can stop pretending they like and respect this nasty piece of work.
She's going to find this an upsetting experience. I think we even see her spasms now, as she frantically seeks attention that no one really wants to grant her.
In three months she'll try to "Break the Internet," Kim Kardashian style, with a revealing dominatrix outfit for a Paste Magazine cover.
— Ace Granny McBotoxRictus' claimed zero-tolerance policy for harassment turns out to have a lot of tolerance in it, so long as it's a Democrat doing the harassing.

Al Franken's done with his several days of redeemin' with this family, and is now giving interviews.
He's not saying much except he's sorry but he will not say what he's sorry about or if he actually did anything untoward for which he should be sorry about.
More apologies without admissions, and a rejection of the idea of resignation.
BTW, like Anthony Weiner (eventually), he can't rule out the possibility that more women may come forward to say he fondled them.

Even chimps can tell the difference between males and females. This isn't tough, like building rockets or curing cancer. But this guy deserves to have some poo thrown at him.
Australian Weightlifting Federation chief executive Michael Keelan on Friday claimed Hubbard would have both a physiological and mental edge over her rivals.
"We're in a power sport which is normally related to masculine tendencies ... where you've got that aggression, you've got the right hormones, then you can lift bigger weights," he told AAP.
"If you've been a male and you've lifted certain weights and then you suddenly transition to a female, then psychologically you know you've lifted those weights before.
"I personally don't think it's a level playing field. That's my personal view and I think it's shared by a lot of people in the sporting world."
This isn't tiddlywinks or curling or shooting. This is weightlifting, maybe the sport where men have the biggest advantage. Why this deeply deluded and troubled man wants to compete against women is beyond my imagination. Most of us have competed at some athletic endeavor, and the concept is pretty simple. A level playing field is a pretty good start, and a lifetime of androgenic hormones does not a level field make.
This guy should be mocked and laughed at and hounded out of athletics. And if he isn't then the destruction of athletic competition will accelerate. It is not unimaginable for men who simply identify as women to begin to insist on participating against real women.
But...maybe this is an opportunity? Is there an intrepid and brave golfing or basketball-playing Moron out there who will file a claim with the EEOC, claiming that now that he simply identifies as a "she," "her" rights were violated by not being allowed to compete on the LPGA tour, or play in the WNBA.
We are forcing the Left to play by its own rules with respect to the many sexual harassment claims we have seen recently, why not expand to the truly idiotic and force them along the athletic path of their own devising? more...

Good morning kids. Hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving with much to be thankful for and much to eat, as we begin the final run up to Christmas and the New Year. Getting a late start this morning so I'll keep the commentary light as possible. As the Democrats stammer and stumble in their ridiculous attempt to defend the perversion that is part and parcel of their party and movement, while smearing our side as the wagers of the war on women, a big story is developing on Capitol Hill.
Obamacare's evil twin, the Dodd-Frank hijacking of our banking system faces a serious threat from the President. With the ankling of Richard Cordray from the CFPB, which is essentially an unelected and unaccountable politburo that controls the banks, the Office of Legal Council has given the President the green light to appoint Mick Mulvaney of OMB to head (and hopefully sabotage) it. This is obviously not sitting well with the Marxists. Cordray's assistant is heading to court to sue and demand she be placed in charge until Congress can appoint a successor.
Good for the President. He is getting sound advice on this. This beast is completely illegal and unconstitutional; remember, it has no Congressional oversight because it gets its funding from the Treasury(!), and Obama (pig-piss be upon him) made sure to put in all sorts of red tape that prevents it from being abolished. Bastard. Actually, the CFPB is Faucahontas Warren's idea, so I expect her head to be exploding. Good.
Lots more I can go into, but I'm running late. Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.
