Put a fork in 'em. Even if the judge were to release someone from civil restraint such as parole or probation or conditional discharge in order to enable someone to enlist, that would be permanently disqualifiying.

As a recruiter, we would check the police records of every applicant any place the lived, worked or went to school, and if ANYTHING showed on the record, we would pull the court records. Track would have been bounced.
