— Ace Several people have written to ask if they have been banned.
Apart from the weekend where I was banning people, no. If you survived that purge, you weren't intentionally banned.
However, it is possible that you're trying to use an IP that was banned. Some companies assign different IP's at different times. Also, I tried to ban some spam IP's; I imagine that many of these are actually spoof IP's, and so I might have inadvertantly banned someone while trying to stop spam.
If you still can't post, please send your IP address to me at aceofspadeshq. That's at gmail.com. I'll check it against the banned list and see if it matches up.
Otherwise I'll talk to Pixy Misa. This may be some kind of giitch.

I demand to be banned! Immediately, sir!
Otherwise I'll just have to ban myself from this moronic site which wastes so much of my time. You've been warned...

One, the servers rebooted yesterday (not sure why), and when they came back, some people got send to the blog on the old server, which has been disabled. That's been fixed, so everyone should be able to reach the blog now.
Two, our comment-spam blacklist got too big and crashed, and I had to rebuild it. In the process, some words that shouldn't have been blacklisted got blacklisted. That's been fixed too.
Three (um...) if you're on Insight Broadband, sometimes you can't get to mu.nu. Their DNS servers are broken, and I can't do anything about it.

Actually, unless you or your company are paying for a fixed IP, you will have a different IP each time you connect. Even an always-on broadband connection on DHCP will routinely change IP numbers as a part of the renewal process.

There at AoSHQ,
And we saw him run away ...
Ban-ded!
Marked with a coward's shame.
What do you do when you're ban-ded,
Well, you snark cause you're lame.
He was a poseur,
Not a claim was true,
so transparent we all knew ...
Ban-ded!
Scorned as the one who ran.
What do you do when you're ban-ded,
And you wish you were a man?
And wherever you go
for the rest of your life
You can't prove ...
You're a man!

A homeless nut in Seattle land.
His fast keyboard's for hire heed's the calling wind.
A soldier in his mind is the man called PLV.
PLV, PLV where do you roam?
PLV, PLV, far, far from planet Earth.
He rambles on however he must;
A chess club pin is his badge of trust.
There are bathroom legends that the nerdsmen spin
Of the man with the PC,
of the man called P-L-VEEEEEEEEE

John McCain is the name.
Campaign trail to who knows where,
WaPo is his companion,
Dissemblin' is his game.
Smooth as snot on a polished doorknob.
John McCain is the name.
Wild as the wind in Arizona,
Blowin' smoke up my wazoo,
Easier to blaaa-aame .
MSM, ring your bell,
Conservatives go to hell!
Press is the lady that he loves the best.
Yuma to Black Canyon City
Livin on tax receipts
McCain is a legend of the west.

This is only the second time in its nearly ten-year history that the Dish has gone silent. The reason now is the same as the reason then. When dealing with a delusional fantasist like Sarah Palin, it takes time to absorb and make sense of the various competing narratives that she tells about her life. There are so many fabrications and delusions in the book, mixed in with facts, that just making sense of it - and comparing it with objective reality as we know it, and the subjective realiNFL Jerseys On Sale

ty she has previously provided - is a bewildering task. She is a deeply disturbed person which makes this work of fiction and fact all the more challenging to read. And the fact that she is now the leader of the Republican party and a potential presidential candidate, makes this process of deconstruction an important civil responsibility. We take this seriously as we always have. We want to be fair to her, and to her family, and to the innocent people she has brought into the spotlight. And we are not reporters. We are merely analysts trying to make sense of evidence already in the public domain, evidence that points in all sorts of directions, only one of which can be true
