Who's Ready For Some Florida Gulf Coast Fun Tonight?
— JohnE.

How great is this story? Florida Gulf Coast University became the first 15 seed to ever make it past the opening weekend of the tournament into the Sweet Sixteen, knocking off powerhouse Georgetown in the process.

The little-known Eagles made NCAA tournament history Sunday night, becoming the first 15 seed to reach the Sweet 16 — and they did it in style with a convincing 81-71 win over No. 7 San Diego State that had the Wells Fargo Center partying.
Just incredible. These are the types of Cinderella stories that cross all political lines and inspire people to root for underdogs. It's practically an American tradition. We love it. Can't get enough. There's no "Red America" or "Blue America" when something like this happens. If you're not a University of Florida fan (who they play tonight), you've just got to be pulling for this good group of guys, rocketed out of small school obscurity and thrust upon the national stage. I mean, you'd really be hard-pressed to find some joyless, perpetually bitter clods eager to tear apart this joyride.

Oh.

Think Progress: A Cinderella Story? How The Koch Brothers Use Florida Gulf Coast University To Promote Their Agenda

But there’s something you might not know about FGCU: its economics department is, as a consequence of grants from Randian businessman John Allison and the Charles G. Koch Foundation, a haven for Ayn-Rand Style thinking.

Oh, for fuck's sake. Well listen, it's just Think Progress. Let's not paint the entire left with this same broad brush, right?

Oh.

Mother Jones: The Dark Side of Florida Gulf Coast University, March Madness Sweetheart
The university trampled over Florida panther habitat at the behest of a Big Ag benefactor. Cinderella who?

The less inspiring story, however, is how FGCU rose up out of the swamp. To put it bluntly: The school paved over it, using government connections to pressure the US Fish and Wildlife Service into green-lighting the development and in the process wiping out one of the last vital habitat areas of the severely endangered Florida panther. FGCU's is a particularly extreme version of a familiar story. For a century, South Florida developers have stared down all comers—and methodically reshaped the environment in the process.

Screw it, I'm out.

The game starts at 9:57 ET tonight. Progressive humorless bitchiness started long ago and will last until the sun cools.

Btw, for Second Amendment fans and winning the culture back.

FPSRussia - the 6th MOST POPULAR Youtube channel in the WORLD (awesome show where it's all guns and they blow a bunch of shit up).

Their farmhouse was raided by 40 fucking ATF agents.  They claim it was in response to an investigation of Sean Ratliff, who was murdered and was one of the guys who produced the show.  That's how they got the warrants.  But no murder weapon was found and it was all a fucking pretext.  40 FUCKING AGENTS?????????????????

But read the news stories, they were looking for ANY TECHNICAL VIOLATIONS of the law.  And because there were a lot of guns at the farmhouse, the ATF thought it could be possible if they could CONFISCATE all of the legally owned weapons.  Read the story.

THIS GOVERNMENT IS FUCKING CRIMINAL and has been for a long time.  Jury nullification and a big fuck you to federal prosecutors needs to start happening and we, politically, need to take them on directly as they have treated the American people like shit for far too long.

We have a higher conviction rate than Nazi fucking Germany.  Think on that.

37 Mother Jones talking about basketball is as clueless as ace meandering aimlessly about Christianity.  FGCU is better than the previous Cinderalla turds because the earlier fucksticks just chucked threes up left and right and somehow caught fire when they put the other teams to sleep.  These guys are alley-oop highlight films all the fucking time and are an antidote to the boring trashketball that most small schools play.

But we always whine and bitch and moan about getting into the culture wars.  HERE IT IS.  You wanna know why young people by a 70-30 margin are against gun control of any kind.

It's because of video games.  It's because of the Walking Dead.  It's because of FPS Russia.

This is the shit we need to develop and support.  And look how much these guys are getting fucked over by the feds.  We should be all over this shit and demanding an investigation into the ATF's actions.

When I was a kid, I was the perfect little environmentalist: save the whales, no acid rain, save the rainforests, adopt a panther cub, the whole works. That wide-eyed naivete has given way to a grownup look at the world. Should we do what we can to be good stewards of the earth? Yes. Should we love and protect animals? Yes. Fudge Packer was a bitter little troll.  He understood the game but never got any enjoyment out of it compared to, say, Al McGuire.  Personally I think Willy Wacker and his college coach at Wake Forest, Bones McKinney, used to get together and bitch about how the blacks were ruining the game.

125 The "Florida panther" is virtually identical to the "North American cougar" which is prolific elsewhere in the country--particularly in the west.  There has been ongoing debate about removing its subspecies status for years.

It did my heart good to see Florida Gulf Coast beat Georgetown's ass.

If any of Billy's boys pulled the faces and shameless dances that the FLGC players did in previous games they wouldn't be seeing the court again for the rest of the tournament! And another thing, the MSM loves this kind of BS. They thrive on it.
