— LauraW. ...two thumbs us from Todd Beamer's dad.
There are those who question the timing of this project and the painful memories it evokes. Clearly, the film portrays the reality of the attack on our homeland and its terrible consequences. Often we attend movies to escape reality and fantasize a bit. In this case and at this time, it is appropriate to get a dose of reality about this war and the real enemy we face. It is not too soon for this story to be told, seen and heard. But it is too soon for us to become complacent.
I can't imagine how this man must have felt, watching this movie.
This enemy seeks to take away the free will that our Creator has endowed in us. Patrick Henry got it right some 231 years ago. Living without liberty is not living at all.
The passengers and crew of United 93 had the blessed opportunity to understand the nature of the attack and to launch a counterattack against the enemy.
Emphasis mine. This is the way the father of a hero thinks.

Hmm. Totally unnecessary ellipses or totally unnecessary capitalization? Tough call.

I guess you just DON'T CARE that OSAMA still lives and goes unpunished, or maybe your even GLAD HE'S FREE.

That having been said, your desperate need to change the subject from heroism that occurred on September 11 is telling.

It appears now, rather, that it serves as a reminded of who the enemy really is, which I am all for.

How will the critics hide their contempt and resentment for people who will stand up to Islamofascists?
Then we can have fun cmparing all the reviews and excuses for V and the reviews for 93.

Seriously, what a dork. 50 years? Basically what he's saying is "I wanna go back to sleep. Wake me when it's over. "
I think I'll coin a term here: Snooze Alarmist. A snooze alarmist is outraged by any and all glorifcation of the heroism of 9/11, and they desperately want to return to the 9/10 world where the president feels thier pain and does it all for the children.

Please, please, forgive me Hon. I apologise, but I was under the impression that OSAMA BEN LADEN had something to do with flight 93 some how. Hey, maybe I'm thinking of the wrong flight 93. The one I'm thing about happened on September 9, 2001. As the story goes, some suicidal arab terrorist from Saudi Arabia jacked a plane and were going to crash it somewhere. The jackers were hired by a fellow Saudi named OSAMA BEN LADEN and he even hired somemore guys to crash two other planes into New York somewhere. Well, the passengers(AMERICANS) Bravely stop the OSAMA guys by crashing the plane... in Pennsylvania somewhere, sacraficing themselves in the process. I guess I should have seen the movie first before I opened my yap. I guess there are two flight 93s. One with OSAMA ( the one I'm thinging about) and one without OSAMA BEN LADEN. (the one YOU'RE thinking about). Again, please forgive me, I can be so opinionated sometimes.

You leftists don't give a shit about catching Osama bin Laden. At least, you didn't during the 90s, when he was engaged in terrorist acts against the United States.
Your constant stream of bullshit about Osama now, posted in every thread you can spam, is disingenuous and exposes you for the completely idea-free attention slut you are.
So please, fuck off.

FIRST OFF , I am NOT a lefty. I believe in HANGING , sorry bastards that desirve HANGING i.e. OSAMA BEN LADEN. Lefties DO NOT want to HANG anyone, I suppose they're kind hearted, I got no heart. Lefties LOVE aminals. I make my living herding cattle which, I hate, so I don't mind firing up a glowing hot branding iron and SMOKING a little beef. In fact THAT'S the part I love, Branding Time. Lefties hate guns. I believe every AMERICAN should carry one at ALL times in case one should run across OSAMA BEN LADEN, That AMERICAN could immediately defend AMERICA and save the TAXPAYERS a lot of money and heartache. ARE WE SQUARED AWAY ON MY POLITICS? Please forgive my rash and harsh manner. I don't get to town much so my social skills are a little rusty.

You know, we all slip up from time to time.
But this factoid's inclusion in a history lesson puts it head and shoulders above a simple gaffe.
Bravo, Mr. Meyers. Your assessment of your social skills was right on target, as you can't even handle a politely worded request to 'leave it be' for people whose feelings are still wounded.
And as you're in the running for the AOSHQ Lifetime Achievement Award for Stupidity, it would be remiss for me to not call you a first-class fucking moron right now.
You're a first-class fucking moron.

Capslock is lame, but the real problem is that you have an uninformed opinion, not that it's an original opinion. What is the current scale of pursuit of bin Laden? What is the single most frustrating barrier to that pursuit? Do you know?

What happened yesterday and who did it ten yrs ago don't mean shit. Today IS what's happening. YOU ARE PAYING for a war, at the rate of 10 billion per month trying to BRING DEMOCRACY to someone you DO NOT know and, judging from your post of last, DO NOT give a fucking damn about. You're SOON to be engaged TO PAY for yet another war to BRING REGEME CHANGE to yet another bunch of folks YOU DO NOT KNOW, and, again, DO NOT give a flying fuck through a rolling donut about. They have THREE times the population so, EVEN YOU can figure on PAYING THREE TIMES AS MUCH, about 30 billion per month. 30 +10=40 billion per month. Ask the President and HE WILL TELL YOU IT'S ALL ABOUT 911. The Iraqis DID NOT commit 911. The Iranians DID NOT commit 911. OSAMA BEN LADEN DID. But, of course you ALREADY knew that.

(I'll be generous- call it within the last year) news publication avec date stamp. Now- let's answer you point-by-point. I'll not assume to answer for Kemperman, but since you loudly proclaimed your Leftism, I'll be most accommodating.
What happened yesterday and who did it ten yrs ago don't mean shit. Today IS what's happening.
True to a point, Sunshine. Problem being, what's happening today is a direct result of what happened nearly 30 years ago in Iran. Worse still is Pres. Carter won't even acknowledge his fuck up, much less try to mitigate it. Worst of all is skidmarks like you support that crap.
YOU ARE PAYING for a war, at the rate of 10 billion per month trying to BRING DEMOCRACY to someone you DO NOT know and, judging from your post of last, DO NOT give a fucking damn about.
Dang, there is a whole heap of grade A shit in that statement. I'll just say reference our history vis-a-vis bringing democracy to people we don't know. I don't give a fucking damn about these people? Gee- it's those on the Left who say we should put Saddam back, pull out, forget all this ever happened, yaddayaddayadda.
You're SOON to be engaged TO PAY for yet another war to BRING REGEME CHANGE to yet another bunch of folks YOU DO NOT KNOW, and, again, DO NOT give a flying fuck through a rolling donut about.
Uhhh, yeah. You need to realize a) Iran is perilously close to pointing a rather large gun at our collective heads. b) The Iranian president (don't ask me to spell his name) is a rather unstable fellow who back in the day headed an Islamic group so radical that Khomeini banned it. and c) I'm too old to be fucking rolling doughnuts.
They have THREE times the population so, EVEN YOU can figure on PAYING THREE TIMES AS MUCH, about 30 billion per month. 30 +10=40 billion per month.
You came up with this feat of mathematical acrobatics exactly how? You are privy to some estimate we haven't seen yet? Or are you simply having some coffee with those used doughnuts?
Ask the President and HE WILL TELL YOU IT'S ALL ABOUT 911. The Iraqis DID NOT commit 911. The Iranians DID NOT commit 911. OSAMA BEN LADEN DID. But, of course you ALREADY knew that.
Ask anyone who can read and they will tell you that the Iraqis were a component of 9/11, but not the whole thing. Nobody has stated that the Iranians had a hand in 9/11- although I wouldn't be surprised if they did- but with a shaky Iran, they've been stirring shit up, and they are playing with weapons systems we preferred they didn't. Say- do you honestly believe that bin Laden did this all on his own, with absolutely no help from any government anywhere? If that's the case, we didn't need the US military, when James Bond would have sufficed.
By the way- a bit of friendly advice. Turn off the caps lock- you'll look less of a raving idiot.
