I see that lying bastard Bennet's put in some ads over here. Thanks, DNC, for paying for this forum. Also, if any lurkers are really considering voting for Bennet at this stage - don't; you're putting in a vote for Reid or, more likely, Schumer as Majority Leader; and (possibly) for Joe Biden as tiebreaker.

Not to mention that Bennet is a lying asshole. (No, admeisters; opposition to the 17th Amendment is not equivalent to ripping asunder the Constitution from top to bottom. And running against bailouts for banks is really fucking rich coming from the party of TARP '09.)

Republicans gain 55 seats in the House and 7 (maybe 8 on the high end) and that's that.

If the networks hold off on calling CT and NY, and WV goes to Raese early, I could see Demo turnout being suppressed in NV, WA, CA and maybe even OR.

And if they can't call VT in time then there will be epic dippage. Not that Leahy is likely to lose, but the possibility will be a total bummer for the western potheads.

A bit like how in 2008, the networks delayed calling SC for McCain but called PA for Obama nearly instantly. That was when I knew that that game was up.

Nah, if he sticks around he won't do that.  Instead he'll start looking at final vote tallies and use the close races as evidence that there was no wave.  For instance like pointing out that Angle didn't win by 9 points thus no wave.  Actually quoting conservative sources would be too much for the troll.  He only knows how to search for poll numbers.

At first I thought Ventura's election was a fine example of prairie populism.  He actually said some reasonable things.  Then, all those beatings in the ring must have taken their toll, and he went off the rails.  Today, he's a Truther and conspiracy theorist.

BTW, I still don't think they elected Franken.  They just kept making up the rules, finding ballots in car trunks, etc until he had more votes.   Then they stopped counting.

74 Anybody seen any recent polls regarding Joe Wilson in SC-2? We have been getting mailings from Wilson and his opponent on an almost daily basis along with phone calls from both campaigns. Additionally there have been tons of TV and radio ads. Wilson won by seven in 2008 and if there was ever a year for a Republican to lose it would have been then; given the circumstances facing Democrats this year I can't see how they could pick up this seat.

I assume that Democrats are spending tons of cash on this district because of "You Lie!" but I have to think that perhaps that money may have been better spent elsewhere. I really don't know why else they would be pouring money into this race other than that I have heard that this district could be split and they might be trying to get a Democrat in for that reason.

80 OK, Greg. Maybe you can help me interpret this:

However, among voters polled who had cast early or absentee ballots, 60 percent said they voted for Pearce compared with 36 percent for Teague. [Emphasis mine]
"Pearce has a huge lead among those who already voted," Sanderoff said. "For Teague to win, there has to be a very high voter turnout, especially in the more Democratic western side of the district."

Pearce is the Republican candidate for US House of Representatives in NM-2. Granted, that's from the Albuquerque Journal, the MFM newspaper of record in New Mexico, so you need to take what they write with a few grains of salt. If that bit about 60 percent said they voted for the Republican candidate is true in other states, an accurate description of the wave that will break on Tuesday is megatsunami.

You can read the article here.

What about it?  The GOP will pick up a bunch of House seats, which happens to the party out of power in most off-year elections.  How about the GOP not doing very well in early voting in NV and WV?  Angle will have to win the Independent vote by around 15 pts to even have a shot.  And Raese is basically dead in the water already in WV.

86 I'm trying to figure out how to get out of work on Wednesday - I know I won't get any sleep Tuesday night.  I'll be like a child on Christmas Eve.  But this going to be even more exciting.  I don't dare call in sick - they will know I'm lying.  Took the Wenesday off after the last election and my boss had a fit.

#80 - That poll was not backed by Greg's paymasters so doesn't count.

PPP(D) is the official Truth, do not look at other polls.

Re Franken and Coleman, mathematician Charles Seife has weighed in. He has declared the race a statistical tie, and stated that the way Minnesota should have called it is by way of coin-toss. (Link on my name.)

Mind you, that's an analysis of the recount. Seife as a statistician isn't concerned about whatever vote-stuffing (eg. fraudulent registrations) occurred up to Election Day.

94 Speaking as a West by gawd Virginian Greg your full of it. Any other year and Manchin would win in a cake walk this year not so much Raese has a better than normal shot at winning and it really helped fire people up yesterday when Uncle Ted and Sarah were here in Charleston for the rally it was a hoot

95 Palin Steele's love child?

That's unlikely for such an obvious reason, I won't insult your intelligence with it.
Please give me 10:30 for Greg's final comment.  I think it will be that long before enough House seats or 'surprise' Senate seats are called by AP for him to wake up to the magnitude of Obama's rejection.

Wrong, again.   It was reported this morning that, by a slight lead, Republicans were ahead in early voting in NV.   Dems were slightly ahead in 2 counties, only.    Do you think all the dems are voting for Reid?     Plus, Angle is winning the independent vote by 55% to 38%.

Try harder.    You're still looking like a dumbass.

101 By the way something I never thought I would see in the little town I live in is the sign that sits right by State Route 52 Manchin=Obama. Now the reason this is surprising is the fact that there are 350 people here and 98% of them are registered Dem.

Greg @85

Let's analyze the following quote from a piece published yesterday by the Democrats' propaganda organ, AP.

Democrats in Clark County account for about 45 percent of voters, but turned out 46.2 percent of those casting early ballots, the figures showed. The party has a 23,000-vote edge in early votes in the county, though that lags its 12-point registration advantage there.

In Washoe County, which includes Reno and where registration is roughly split, Republicans turned out 45 percent of early voters, compared to 40 percent for Democrats.

So, the percentage of early voters in Clark County who are registered Democrats is smaller than the percentage of Democrats registered to vote in that county. Same thing can be said about the next most populous county in Nevada, Washoe County. The really bad news for Reid and his fellow travelers is that the rest of the state comprises mostly Republicans.

What I take away from it is that the AP writer has spun the early voter turnout in Nevada, but if you read carefully, you learn that the Rs are doing a better job of getting out the vote. And I haven't even considered those voters who are registered as Independents and they way they are trending with their vote.

106 Y'all do realize that in a year like this, early voting turnout numbers (which are based solely on political party registration, not actual votes) don't mean shit.

There are more than just a few Democrat registered voters out there pulling the lever for straight R.  I doubt there are many Repubs doing the opposite.

Tuesday night is going to be fun.

The Trustafarians from NYC came in and polluted the population of old line Yankees.  The stupid and lazy, it is strong with them.  Most of the old generational families in Vermont are pretty disgusted with the whole mess.  The same thing is happening to the Front Range cities in Colorado.  The idiot Californicators are coming in to turn Colorado into the same Blue-Hell that California has become.

It's happening in once solid-red New Hampshire, too.  I can understand if you're a true blue lefty believer, but what gets me are the people who think "this place is fucked up.....let's get out of here".   And then go to the new place and vote in the way that fucked up their previous place.

Hey greg, you haven't answered the question on the other thread.

How do you know what's in the PPP polls hours before they're publicly released? Doesn't that mean you're either a member of the Dem machinery or someone from Kos?

Which is it?
