24 - "700 Million In Taxpayer Funds For Hurricane Katrina Recovery Gone Missing" And keep in mind if non-voting conservatives and other poseurs keep electing Democrats pretty soon the Dems will control the entire healthcare sector of the economy; the pensions too. - "Subprime Auto Loans Too?" Yep. That started to heat up a year or two ago. Hedge funds. Part of Bernanke's folly. Obviously it won't end well. - "George Will: Schools Push A Curriculum Of Propaganda" Gee, whiz, thanks for stating the obvious, George. In related news, bears shit in the woods, water is wet and the sun rises in the east. - "Cancer Clinics Turn Away Thousands Of Medicare Patients" Definitely. Medicare doesn't pay too well and it's an administrative pain in the arse. And Obamacare took a ton of money from that program and sent it elsewhere. BTW, the Dem puppet masters behind the scenes want desperate seniors to struggle to survive. Those heartstring images will be part of their eventual and final push for a single payer system. - "A Chilly Look Into The Economic Future Of Cyprus" Greece will be next. Then the rest of the PIIGS countries. If Hillary gets two terms in office and the Dems retake the House then it'll be the USA's turn, perhaps even before the likes of France and Britain.

34 From the George Will piece: Today, the school systems in 20 states employ more non-teachers than teachers. The Friedman Foundation for Educational Choice reports that between 1950 and 2009, while the number of K-12 students increased 96 percent, full-time-equivalent school employees increased 386 percent. The number of teachers increased 252 percent, but the number of bureaucrats — including consciousness-raising sensitivity enforcers and other non-teachers — increased 702 percent. The report says states could have saved more than $24 billion annually if non-teaching staff had grown only as fast as student enrollment. And Americans wonder why their generous K-12 financing (higher per pupil than all but three of the 34 Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development nations) has done so little to improve reading, math and science scores. wow

They're lined up at the bottom of the escalator in the airport, my BIL is riding down while holding the daughter he just met and his 5 yr old son is at the bottom of the escalator, saluting his dad.

My thoughts on North Korea...

Best case scenario, he tries and fails to launch a nuke, and takes out part of his own country instead. Mass military defections, and S Korea is able to move in and unify Korea under a sane system.

Worst case scenario, the nukes work and he takes out Seoul or hits us on Guam (as long as it doesn't tip over).

Obama does...nothing at all, and thus gives all other world destroyers a green light to bomb us at will.

150 Notice how the FDIC uses the word “creditors” for depositors? Technically, that is correct. When you deposit $1,000 in a bank, you no longer legally own the money; The bank gives you an IOU and you become a creditor. I think more and more people are starting to realize how this works.
