The Morning Report 2/28/17
— Open Blogger

Mal.jpg

Good morning, kids. Lots of stuff going on, most notably this evening when President Trump addresses a joint session of Congress. Along with cunning stunts that will greet him via Code Pink-o and Fauxcahontas bringing a Muslim "victim" of cruel America, PDT is going to lay out his economic blueprint. Rush touched on this yesterday, but Trump himself has said that he will not move forward until Obamacare is repealed and replaced so the pressure is on his biggest enemy - the GOP - to actually deliver on seven useless years of promises. Anyway, here's the latest from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.

25 While there are people who are skinheads who are virulently anti Semetic (and for all I know voted for Donald Trump) I find it very interesting that the calls that Trump is an anti Semite-which he isn't- come at the same time the left is trying to demonize Trump for being an anti Semite, because of course they don't want to lose part of their voting coalition-liberal Jews. The militant left is despicable.

30 I was looking at photographs of toppled headstones. Some of them are so heavy they have to be lifted and repositioned on base with backhoe. Five hundred pounds, easy. They're only held in place with a perimeter line of thin-set cement. So pretty susceptible to be knocked over again. A better way to permanently secure them would be drilling holes in base and commemorative stone, inserting rebar shaft, then lowering onto fresh thinset.

32 On Trump's budget:

Fox found them a DIABLO from PA who will oppose that.

The president will propose and the Congress will dispose, Rep. Charlie Dent, R-Pa told Politico. We'll look at his budget, but at the end of the day we in Congress write the appropriations bills, and I am not one who thinks you can pay for an increase in (military) spending on the backs of domestic discretionary programs, which constitute 13 or 14 percent of all federal spending.

34 25 Posted by: FenelonSpoke at February 28, 2017 06:52 AM (fDdVG) There are maybe 5,000 or so active American Nazis and/or skinheads in a nation of nearly 320 million people. And they are effectively silent/neutered and not a threat to anything in an organized mass form. The cemetery desecrations and bomb threats, if you ask me, ultimately have Soros' and Obama's fingerprints on them. No doubt in my mind.

35 In a country where thousands died on 9/11 because we were so "welcoming" to the dozens of Saudi muzzies who took flying lessons here and then piloted planeloads of our citizens into our buildings, it takes some g-d gall for any muzzies, or their enablers, to claim they are the "victims" here. Trump was right when he said we need a ban on muslim immigration. islam is antithetical to the U.S. constitution. Foreigners who want to live in a theocracy, and who object to free markets, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, civil rights for women, human rights for gays, etc., do not belong in the U.S.

36 More noos.    On this day in 1993 the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agents raided the Branch Davidian church in Waco, Texas with a warrant to arrest the group's leader David Koresh. Four ATF agents and five Davidians die in the initial raid, starting a 51-day standoff  (and subsequent slaughter).  My most pressing question about this raid is why they did not arrest Koresh while he was walking around on the streets during the previous weeks.  The raid was never about arresting Karesh.  I think that is pretty obvious.

37 Time for the "new" DOJ to work on that CT Gov Deputize CT State Troopers and the CT State Bureau of Investigation (if there is one). Do. Nothing. 53 I'm going to state here and now that I think PDTs address to the traitors, criminals and whores of Congress is the biggest mistake so far of his presidency. Who is going to remember anything he says tonight? The Democrat scum are going to do everything in their power to hijack the proceedings (over / under on the first Dem to scream "you lie!"?) and Ryan will sit there with his head firmly up his ass. Trump would do better to tape a speech and put it up on the net. Unless he directly, bluntly and mercilessly smacks down the left tonight, he'll have needlessly shot himself in the foot.

80 Dakota pipeline rent-a-thugs left behind a bunch of pet dogs to starve to death in the cold. __________________________ I was at the vet's in Tucson a few days ago, getting my 16-year old dog her annual check-up, and a lady walked into the waiting room with three big dogs. She sat down next to me and was telling me about the dogs, all of whom she had rescued. They were abandoned by U of AZ college students. These a-holes get the dogs as pups from local shelters, keep them in the houses their parents rent for them to live in while they're in school (probably trash those houses too), and then when they graduate, they move away and leave the dogs in the street, where they either get run over by cars, or die of dehydration or starvation. The woman pointed to one of the dogs (now in good condition) and said "he was almost starved to death when I found him. His ribs were sticking through his skin, and he could barely lift his head."

85 Posted by: Hrothgar at February 28, 2017 07:10 AM (UDXti) I think there's a very high probability the Dems stole VA, as well as NH and possibly NV. And they tried to steal MI and PA, which makes me wonder how much Trump really won by to overcome the margin of fraud. And what other states they tried to steal. There are major red flags concerning VA and NH, for starters (and only because she "won" those states, as the fraud in MI and PA was surely larger), that a real news media would have been investigating for months now.

115 @85 Virginia went for Hillary by 5 points which was significantly closer than polling, but not all that close. While there is no doubt that there was some voting fraud in Virginia and that it was all committed by Democrats, Virginia is not really a purple state. However what I think is really interesting is that the effect on the outcome of Presidential elections is likely not enough that it turns elections (I know that is arguable) it must be making a difference in local elections. In these districts in Detroit and other cities where there are way more ballots than voters, those extra votes are benefitting someone.

And then turn to the Republican side and point out that they have tried 6-7 times to repeal, not replace Obamacare and yet when they have the chance...crickets. They've lied about everything they said. And then announce an EO that the congressional health care plan is suspended and congress is shifted to the DC exchange. Effective Today.

146 William Bud Liebenow, the Navy officer who rescued future President John F. Kennedy and his crew during World War II, died Friday, the Winston-Salem Journal reported. He was 97. A native of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Liebenow was a young college graduate when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. He joined the Navy, where he served on small, heavily armed attack boats known as PT boats. Liebenow and Kennedy were serving in the South Pacific in 1943 as captains of PT boats. Kennedys boat, PT-109, was attacked by a Japanese destroyer. Kennedy was among the 11 surviving crew members who were able to swim to a small island. Kennedy etched a note into a coconut that natives of the Solomon Islands then delivered to an American base. Liebenow tracked down the survivors of PT-109 by guiding his boat behind enemy lines. Pulled right up to the beach, Liebenow told WRAL-TV in 2015. Just a part of the job really. Kennedy would go on to invite Liebenow and his family to his presidential inauguration 18 years later. The rescue the crew of PT-109 was not the only rescue of Liebenows naval career. Liebenow commanded a PT boat during the D-Day invasion of northern France. He sped around the waters off the shores of Normandy rescuing service members whose boats had been destroyed, including about 60 crew members from the USS Corry. After the D-Day landings, Liebenows PT boat carried Generals Dwight D. Eisenhower, George Patton, Bernard Montgomery, and other high-ranking Allied officers. Following World War II, Liebenow worked for Chesapeake and Ohio Railway for 30 years before retiring in 1981. He is survived by his wife, Lucy, and two children.

162 Listening to Ohio's SoS talking about voter fraud. This year they found 380 noncitizen registered voters with 80 casting votes. Of course they also mention that they can only check it based on drivers licenses and the obama administration refused access to be able to check via social security numbers. Of course that doesn't account for people voting for other people.

Grammie, I grew up a LCMS, no ashes were done at that time. Lent for us, and this was a old German LCMS that still had one German service on Sunday, meant the start of the time before Easter and that was about it. Special services on Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.

I'm not sure what they do anymore.

(So was a non-Jewish one but the media is ignoring that) Let's say, for the sake of argument, that anti-Semitism is rising. Ever since 9/11, the media has been screaming that Americans are Islamophobic. Then Trump gets into power. Media screams that he says he will ban Muslims. Also his key adviser is his very Jewish son-in-law. Very very Jewish. Netanyahu comes to the WH and calls Trump his long-time friend and Israel's greatest friend. Suddenly anti-Semitism, not Islamophobia, is media's number one story. Doesn't it seem likely then, if anti-Semitism is really a problem, that this anti-Semistism is from one very traditionally anti-Semitic group who is right now feeling threatened by President Trump and his links to Jews - fervent Islamic immigrants and refugees?

The other things you learn is that she joined Obama's WH right out of college (BA intnat'l studies GW) doing community outreach, and then Ben Rhodes hied her to join the NSC in 2014. Because.....? See paragraph above, because *she has no National Security experience or expertise*.

So, not a great loss. At all.

They were always happy to force people to violate their religions, and taking that away will drive them nuts. Posted by: Cato the Rebel Without a Party at February 28, 2017 08:35 AM (J+mig) =================== I've thought the same thing, too. "Get government out of the marriage business" was a common refrain of mine for a long time. But, reading the outline of the proposed bill, I think I finally realized how hard that could be. 100% out, and suddenly adults can marry minors as long as they find some crazy officiant. Or they don't even need to find someone else, but can get some culty online thing to do it. There still have to be boundaries around how this set up will work, even if treated like contracts between 2 people. Moving further away is good, I just wonder if it's just going to move the battle to different ground...

No, if somebody made a comment about how a woman in the Obama Administration sat on a couch they would be called a misogynist and hauled off on pitchforks.

I wouldn't be surprised if PT's team and KC in particular have done this deliberately as part of their war with the media.  They have mastered the art of making a small "mistake" to force the press to focus attention on something they otherwise wouldn't have covered at all.  If the press didn't have something small and petty to harp on they probably would have ignored this photo altogether because the actual subject matter doesn't fit their narrative, but now they have made a photo of PT with the leaders of historically black colleges front page news.  PT does this over and over again and the dum dums in the press fall for it every time.  He is Pavlov, and they are the dogs.  This also has the bonus of putting the media's pettiness and smallness on display once again, because who really gives a shit how somebody sits on a sofa.

384 I'm sure some of you saw this, Tucker Carlson interviewing Bill Nye last night: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZsccoSAkUI I'd like to see a post about it. The way Tucker goes about it is so smart. He lures Nye in by saying he is willing to admit man may be part of climate change, and then plays Nye's own notion of 'settled science' against him brilliantly. He asks Nye: if man's role in climate change is so obvious, so settled, so black and white as the formulation of Pi or a right angle being 90 degrees --and anyone who says otherwise is mentally defective or corrupt-- then surely Nye can say exactly what percentage of the change is man-made. Again, it's settled science, and when science settles something to this degree of certitude, surely a precise answer is easy to give. But no, all Nye can do is talk about the English and French wine/grape industry. Tucker scores again!

395 Oh, I've got to share this story with you all. If you'll think back, you'll remember me telling the story of being called out at work by someone for voting for Trump - the situation I had to take to HR? Anyway... The same person who was involved in that received some marketing award last year. I was going through some old emails the other day and I found the write-up they did about her for Crain's when she won the award. The article stated (and I shit you not) when she worked for Proctor and Gamble, "she was responsible for making Folgers a national brand." I immediately knew that HAD to be a fucking lie. I checked Folger's website and sure enough, Proctor and Gamble obtained Folger's in 1960 and made it a national brand. It must be a thing with leftists - just lie, lie, lie...lie about everything whether it can be easily checked or not. Just lie and get rewarded for it. I'm not going to say I've never lied because that would be a lie, but damn, I know enough to not lie about things that can be checked. That's sort of a big part of lying.

Posted by: V the K "Rods from God". Usually tungsten impactors shaped for re-entry. Plus they theoretically slip through a loophole in the Outer Space Theory, which bans WMDs in space...but these aren't WMDs...

She quit 8 days into Trump's presidency, and I think she had taken a different job in order to stay in the WH (likely to kneecap it from within).
Trump had a busy 1st week, but I'm sure he would have gotten around to it.

454 That hit piece by the AP is one of the worst things I've seen. The polls that told us that Hillary was a lock now say a mere 44% approve of Trump. What BS. I hope he locks them out of press conferences until they learn how to report.

Mostly trying to make a connection between some scifi military hardware and one of the only scifi military themed books I've read. I've also read The Forever War. That one's great.

Apparently there's a bridge to Fort Sumter now. I had no idea. I mean, I can see the island everyday on my way to work and I'd never noticed!

If you could swap out the ketchup for spicy mustard, a pickle, raw onions, and bacon rolled in thin roast beef and baked in gravy, you'd have rouladen.

That is good eatin'.

465 The Dims are once again showing their clear grasp of the American polity by- bringing "guest" protesters and illegal aliens into Trump's SOTU speech- to protest during the speech. Brilliant! There's no better way to show that Leftists and Illegals are ready for American politics and power than disrupting and endangering one of America's long-standing traditions. At this rate, I'm predicting a 4th Trump term... assuming we can keep the Golden Scalp Weasel alive through transplants of organs reaped from Democrats caged in Trump Medical Fun Camps.

Sad when President Trump's critics are reduced to having a go at his eating habits...

However it happened here  - PM Abbott was visiting an onion farmer somewhere, and he took a bite out of  a  raw onion!!!  The horror and awfulness!

The MSM went wild about that and it was actually a big thing here

Sickening really as I couldn't care what other people eat -  none of my business!

479 I would be willing to bet that in terms numbers there are more hardcore anti-Semites walking around U.S. & European college campuses than who belong to various Neo-Nazi / KKK groups and their websites. I could be wrong, but even if I am, who is more dangerous? A college student at some Ivy League school who is being indoctrinated to hate Jews, or a bum living in a trailer park spending all day on some white nationalist site? This is why it is important to find some way to knock the Ivy league schools down a notch or two...too much influence in the hands of a few is dangerous to the future of the Republic. Note: Even worse there are some Jews, really former Jews because now they belong to the "Temple of the Progressive Lunatics", that are at the front of the anti-Semitic rhetoric at those Universities. Of course they are no different than all the soft Christians who have also joined the same Temple. View Progressive Leftists as a cult and it makes life so much simpler.
